ABSTRACTThis research studies how being imperative can determine position in meeting conversations. The corpus of this research is the film series Arrow which focuses more on the character Oliver Queen. From there, it will be analyzed further by using Austins and Grices theory. The research will use transcripts to help understanding each utterance from the characters especially from Oliver Queen. As a conclusion, this research explains that language strategy can point out the dominant and the submissive in meetings conversations."
