Abstrak :
Masalah penempatan dan perlindungan TKI di luar negeri masih kerap terjadi baik mulai dari tahap pra penempatan, masa penempatan, hingga purna penempatan. Pemerintah telah mengupayakan untuk meminimalisir dampak yang terjadi, salah satunya melalui pembentukan BNP2TKI. Meskipun demikian, peraturan yang disusun, kelembagaan, maupun standar prosedur yang ada masih belum optimal guna mengatasi permasalahan yang terjadi. Permasalahan yang akan dikaji meliputi peran BNP2TKI terkait penempatan dan perlindungan TKI di luar negeri berdasarkan peraturan perundang-undangan yang berlaku dan implementasi peran BNP2TKI terkait penempatan dan perlindungan TKI di luar negeri. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan meliputi bentuk penelitian yaitu yuridis normatif. Melalui penelitian ini diharapkan dapat mengidentifikasi peran BNP2TKI terkait penempatan dan perlindungan TKI di luar negeri.

Problems placement and protection of migrant workers abroad still frequently occur either from pre placement, the placement period, until after placement. The government has sought to minimize the impact that happened, one of them through the establishment of BNP2TKI. Nonetheless, the rules established, institutional, as well as the existing procedures that are still not optimal in order to overcome the problems occurred. Issues to be examined include the role of BNP2TKI related to the placement and protection of migrant workers abroad based on the legislation in force and the implementation of related BNP2TKI role placement and protection of migrant workers abroad. The research methods used include forms of research is normative. Through this study is expected to identify the role of BNP2TKI related placement and protection of migrant workers abroad.
