ABSTRACT
DKI Jakarta Government's eviction policy is often considered to be wrong or has a negative image (even violating the Human Rights) because eviction is synonymous with riot, coercion, expulsion, and always ends in conflict. Although according to the utilitarianism philosophy, no actions, including evictions, are inherently wrong. All actions or regulations by itself are neutral. What gives moral values to actions or regulations are its consequences. The objective of this study was to determine the positive consequences of eviction actions by using the philosophical perspective of Utilitarianism. The study used descriptive and literature review methods, as well as qualitative approach, the results of the study showed that eviction policies were justified in the utilitarian view, Eviction of a handful of residents living on the riverbanks was done to normalize the riverbank and green areas to save millions of DKI Jakarta residents from floods. The main objective of the eviction was the public interest. Therefore, evictions must be conducted for the greater good, benefiting as many people as possible and carried out in ways that humanize people.

ABSTRACT
Identity politics promoted by the 212 Movement has led to increased intolerance in society. This study captured this problem through the perspective of Emmanuel Levinas Ethics. According to Levinas, the act of intolerance occurs because we see the Other, not with ideas, ideologies, teachings, doctrines, interests, and religion that should be upheld above all things. Our attachment to the ideas we has about others often makes us fail to treat them as humans because we are prevented from encountering them directly. For this reason, this study aims to find out the negative consequences caused by the 212 Movement through the philosophical perspective of Emmanuel Levinas ethics. With descriptive methods, literature study, and a qualitative approach, the results of the study showed that identity politics carried out by the 212 Movement could not be justified in ethical relations. The 212 Movement saw other human beings as objects that can be used to achieve their personal or group goals. The movement has controlled and exploited their fellow believers, and not reluctant to carry out hateful propaganda to people outside their group. Levinas ethical relations open a new type of relations that are different from idea-based relations. Encountering others makes us realize that they are not merely skin, flesh, and blood that can be destroyed just like that.

Kinship Politics as a form of control of political space by the elites makes it easier for their family members to win an election against other candidates. Kinship Politics is prone to abuse of power that benefits just a few people. The author studied this problem using philosophical reflection. Humans have a relentless desire to achieve success or felicity (as Hobbes stated) that requires humans to continue accumulating power. Power must be attained and defended, although it means forgoing the ethical foundation. For this reason, this study aimed to analyse the moral consequences of the desire for power of the political elites in the 2020 Regional-Head Election (Pilkada) through an ethical lens. This study used descriptive and literature study method, as well as a qualitative approach, and the results of the study showed that the kinship politics in the 2020 Pilkada should not be continued in the perspective of consequentialism ethic that emphasizes the goal of happiness for as many people as possible, since Kinship politics that concentrated the power in one person supported by the circle of power will benefit only a handful of people.
