"Pencarian identitas diri merupakan tugas utama perkembangan psikososial remaja. Peer group memiliki peranan yang dominan pada remaja. Tekanan peer biasanya berpengaruh sangat kuat pada usia 13-15 tahun. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh peer group pada status identitas diri remaja. Desain pcnelitian yang digunakan cross sectional dengan analisa data desdriptif korelasi menggunakan uji Chi square. Respondcn yang terlibal adalah siswa-siswi SMP Negeri 103 Cijantung Jakarta Timur. Hasil penelitian menunjukl-can bahwa scbagian besar reponden merniliki peer group jenis crowd (63%), tipe akademis (77,3%), dan yang terpengaruh positif dari peer groupnya memiliki status identitas diri positif (90,6%), hanya 9,4% yang memiliki status identitas diri negatifi Namun, uji Chi square menyimpulkan bahwa tidak ada pengaruh peer group pada status identitas diriI rernaja di SMP Negeri 103 Cijantung Jakarta Timur (p value = 1, α = 0,05).

The search for identity is the major task of adolescence psychosocial development. Peer group have dominant role in adolescence. Peer pressure usually more influence adolescence in 13-15 years old. The aim of the research was to study the influence of peer group in adolescence identity status. The research use cross sectional methods with correlation descriptive anabze use Chi square test. The partichoants in the research were the students of 103 Junior High School in Chantung East Jakarta.

The result show that majority participants have crowd peer (68%), academic type (77,3%), and participants who get positive influence from their peer group have positive identity status, and only 9,4% have negative identity status. Actualy, Chi square test show that there is no influence of peer group in adolescence identity status in 103 Junior High School in Cijantung East Jakarta (p value = 1, α = 0,05)."
