"Puisi yang menjadi pembahasan utama dalam artikel ini adalah puisi satire karya Jarir ibn Athiyyah ibn Khathfy. Jarir adalah seorang penyair zaman Bani Umayyah yang menjadi salah satu penyair terkenal ketika itu. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan unsur intrinsik dan ekstrinsik puisi satire karya Jarir dengan menggunakan metode studi literatur kepustakaan dan analisis struktural. Unsur intrinsik meliputi analisis struktur bathin dan struktur fisik. Struktur bathin membahas mengenai tema dan emosi. Struktur fisik membahas tifografi, tokoh, diksi, dan majas. Sedangkan unsur ekstrinsik membahas hubungan penyair dengan kondisi masyarakat pada saat itu. Puisi satire Jarir ibn Athiyyah ibn Khathfy adalah puisi ejekan yang ditujukan kepada lawannya.
