Pekerjaan kefarmasian harus dilakukan oleh tenaga kesehatan yang mempunyai keahlian dan kewenangan di bidang ini. Dalam hal ini, Apoteker yang memiliki kewenangan tersebut dituntut untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan perilaku agar dapat melaksanakan interaksi langsung dengan pasien. Pada Praktek Kerja Profesi Apoteker di Apotek Sam Marie Basra ini bertujuan agar calon apoteker dapat memahami dan melihat secara langsung pekerjaan kefarmasiaan di apotek yang mana merupakan peran, tugas, dan tanggung jawab dari apoteker, serta sebagai latihan praktek kerja sebelum terjun ke dunia kerja yang sesungguhnya. Dari hasil praktek kerja profesi ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa Apoteker memiliki peran dan fungsi di apotek sebagai pemegang kebijakan untuk mengelola, mengawas, dan mengendalikan apotek dan seluruh sumber dayanya serta bertanggungjawab atas pelayanan kefarmasian yang diberikan kepada masyarakat.

In this case, the pharmacist who has the authority required to improve the knowledge, skills, and behaviors in order to carry out direct interaction with patients. In this Profession Internship at Apotek SamMarie Basra aims to prospective pharmacists can understand and see directly the pharmacy?s work in a pharmacy which is the role, duties and responsibilities of pharmacists, as well as a training before enter a field of study into the real working world. From the results of the Profession Internship can be concluded that pharmacists have a role and function in pharmacies as the policy holder to manage, overseen, and controlling pharmacies and all its resources and is responsible for pharmaceutical services provided to the public.

Pelayanan kefarmasian merupakan bagian integral dari sistem pelayanan kesehatan termasuk di dalamnya pelayanan kefarmasian di Puskesmas yang merupakan unit pelaksana teknis dinas kesehatan kabupaten/kota. Praktek Kerja Profesi Apoteker di Suku Dinas Kesehatan Kota Administrasi Jakarta Timur bertujuan untuk memahami tugas dan fungsi Suku Dinas Kesehatan Kota Jakarta Timur dan juga memahami tugas dan fungsi dari bagian seksi sumber daya kesehatan. Sedangkan tujuan dari tugas khusus adalah untuk mengetahui tugas pokok dan fungsi tenaga farmasi di puskesmas, memahami bagaimana pengelolaan obat, pelaksanaan pelayanan farmasi klinik, laporan pemakaian dan lembar permintaan obat dan penggunaan obat rasional (POR) di Puskesmas Kecamatan Pulogadung. Peran apoteker di Suku Dinas Kesehatan Kota Administrasi Jakarta Timur adalah sebagai pengelola Sub Seksi Farmasi, Makanan dan Minuman, yang salah satu tugasnya adalah pengelolaan laporan tentang pengunaan obat dari seluruh Puskesmas di wilayah Jakarta Timur. Sementara itu Apoteker di puskemas bertugas dan bertanggungjawab dalam melakukan pelayanan kefarmasian, baik dalam pengelolaan sediaan farmasi maupun pelayanan farmasi klinik.
