"Penelitian ini mengkaji norma sosial seperti norma deskriptif dan injungtif yang mempengaruhi cara individu melihat serta memberi bantuan terhadap kelompok minoritas seksual. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menginvestigasi faktor psikologis seperti dorongan untuk menghindari patogen yang memoderasi pengaruh norma sosial terhadap perilaku prososial terhadap kaum homoseksual. Sebelumnya, belum ada penelitian yang secara spesifik membahas hubungan antara norma sosial dan perilaku prososial terhadap kelompok luar serta mempertimbangkan efek dari penghindaran patogen. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua studi: yang pertama adalah studi kuantitatif korelasional dengan 254 partisipan menggunakan formulir daring, yang meneliti bagaimana norma deskriptif dan injungtif membentuk perilaku prososial terhadap kelompok homoseksual, mengungkapkan efek utama dan efek interaksi melalui analisis regresi hierarkis. Studi kedua adalah studi eksperimental dengan 98 partisipan menggunakan ANOVA campuran, yang mengeksplorasi peran moderasi faktor psikologis seperti kejijikan terhadap patogen dalam hubungan antara norma sosial dan perilaku prososial terhadap individu berorientasi homoseksual, yang menemukan tidak adanya efek signifikan dari norma kelompok atau efek interaksi. This research examined social norms such as descriptive and injunctive norms that influenced how individuals viewed and provided support to sexual minority groups. Additionally, the research investigated psychological factors such as the drive to avoid pathogens that moderated the influence of social norms on prosocial behavior towards homosexuals. Previously, no studies had specifically addressed the relationship between social norms and prosocial behavior towards out-groups while considering the effects of pathogen avoidance. The research consisted of two studies: the first was a quantitative correlational study with 254 participants using online forms, which investigated how descriptive and injunctive norms shaped prosocial behavior towards homosexual groups. We found both main effects and interaction effects through hierarchical regression analysis. The second study was an experimental study with 98 participants using mixed ANOVA, which explored the moderating role of psychological factors such as pathogen disgust in the relationship between social norms and prosocial behavior towards individuals with homosexual orientations. We found neither significant main effects of group norms nor interaction effects. These findings provided deeper insights into how social perceptions and acceptance of homosexuals influenced social behavior and general societal responses."
