Skripsi ini membahas mengenai pemikiran Muammar Qaddafi yang terdapat dalam The Green Book serta penerapannya selama 1969-1977. Dalam melakukan penelitian ini, metode penelitian sejarah menjadi metode yang dipilih. Hasil penelitian ini adalah bentuk pemikiran Muammar Qaddafi yang menjadi solusi dalam bidang politik, ekonomi, dan social, serta penerapnnya bagi negara Libya. Ada dua fase revolusi yang terjadi selama kurun waktu 1969-1977. Tahun 1969-1973 adalah fase awal revolusi yang bertujuan untuk mengkondusifkan keadaan negara pasca penurunan raja Idris. Fase kedua dimulai dari tahun 1973-1977 yang merevolusi bentuk negara dari bentuk Monarki menjadi Jamahiriya (Negara Massa) yang berdasarkan pada keputusan rakyat.

Abstract
This thesis discusses about the ideas of Muammar Qadhafi contained in Al-Kitab Al- Akhdar and its application from 1969 to 1977. Therefore, this study uses the methods of historical research. The result of this research is Muammar Qadhafi?s way of thinking which became the solution in the political, economic, and social fields as well as its application for Libya. There are two phases of the revolution that occurred during the period of 1969-1977. The years between 1969 and 1973 were the initial phase of the revolution that aims to make the condition of the country concucive after the fall of king Idris. The second phase started from 1973 to 1977, revolutionizing the form of the state from monarchy to Jamahiriyah (Mass State) which was based on the people?s decision.
