Proses adaptasi akibat perubahan yang terjadi dari jenjang pendidikan sebelumnya ke masa perkuliahan dapat menimbulkan tekanan psikologis pada mahasiswa baru. Bagaimana individu beradaptasi dapat dipengaruhi oleh orientasi masa depan atau yang dikenal sebagai perspektif waktu masa depan (FTP). Selama ini penelitian terkait FTP belum banyak dilakukan pada populasi mahasiswa baru. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini ingin melihat hubungan antara perspektif waktu mendatang dengan tekanan psikologis pada mahasiswa tahun pertama Universitas Indonesia yang rata-rata berusia 18 tahun. Variabel tekanan psikologis diukur menggunakan Self Report Questionaire 20 (SRQ-20), sedangkan variabel perspektif waktu masa depan diukur menggunakan Zimbardo Time Perspective Inventory -future (ZTPI). Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang tidak signifikan antara perspektif waktu mendatang dengan tekanan psikologis pada mahasiswa baru. ......The adaptation process due to changes that occur from the previous education level to the lecture period can cause psychological pressure on new students. How individuals adapt can be influenced by future orientation or what is known as future time perspective (FTP). So far, research related to FTP has not been carried out in many new student populations. Therefore, this study wanted to see the relationship between future time perspectives and psychological pressure on first-year students at the University of Indonesia who, on average, were 18 years old. The psychological stress variable was measured using the Self Report Questionaire 20 (SRQ-20), while the future time perspective variable was measured using the Zimbardo Time Perspective Inventory -future (ZTPI). The results of the data analysis showed that there was an insignificant relationship between the future perspective and psychological pressure on new students.
