Abstrak :
Lembaga legislatif merupakan lembaga representasi rakyat didalam proses penyelenggaraan pemerintahan yang mempunyai tiga fungsi yaitu fungsi legislasi, fungsi anggaran dan fungsi pengawasan. Tesis ini membahas mengenai fungsi representasi anggota legislatif, khususnya yang diwujudkan dalam pelaksanaan fungsi legislasi dan fungsi anggaran; dan juga mengenai pelaksanaan akuntabilitas anggota legislatif dan faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja anggota legislatif, dengan kajian pada DPRD Kota Depok. Hasil penelitian mendeskripsikan fungsi representasi di DPRD Kota Depok telah berjalan cukup baik dalam pelaksanaan fungsi legislasi dan fungsi anggaran, dimana anggota legislatif pada tingkat kota/kabupaten secara geografis sangat dekat dengan konstituen dan selalu melibatkan dalam proses perumusan kebijakan. ......The legislative body is a representation agency in the governance, which has three functions: legislation, budgetary and oversight. This thesis discusses the representation function of legislative members, particularly those embodied in the implementation of the legislation and budgetary functions, and also regarding the implementation of the accountability of legislators and the factors affecting the performance of legislators, with studies on DPRD Kota Depok. The results describe the function of representation in Parliament Depok has been running pretty well in the implementation of the legislation and budgetary function, whereas legislators at the city / county is geographically very close to the constituents and always involve constituents in the policy formulation process.
