"ABSTRAKPenelitian ini adalah tipe penelitian cross-sectional yang bertujuan meneliti hubungan antara identifikasi danpelepasan moral individu. Desain penelitian ini non-eksperimental yang membandingkan karakter-karakterdalam tokoh One Piece menjadi tiga karakter. Variabel outcome dalam penelitian ini adalah pelepasan moralindividu, sedangkan variabel predictor dalam penelitian ini adalah identifikasi. Penelitian ini juga berusahamencari mengungkap peran mediasi dari penilaian moral dalam hubungan antara variabel prediktor dan outcome.Responden dalam penelitian ini dibagi secara acak ke dalam tiga kelompok, yaitu kelompok karakter bermoralpaling baik, kelompok karakter bermoral ambigu, dan kelompok karakter paling immoral. Sebanyak 1471responden mengisi penelitian ini dan dianalisis. Identifikasi terbukti berkorelasi secara positif dengan pelepasanmoral individu. Dalam hasil juga terdapat bahwa penilaian moral tidak memediasi hubungan antara identifikasidan pelepasan moral individu.

ABSTRACT

This study is cross-sectional research aimed to investigate relationship between identification and moral

disengagement. This study is non-experimental that compares three characters that exist in the story of One

Piece. Outcome variable of these study is moral disengagement, whereas the predictor is identification. Also,

these study try to reveal the mediation model of the predictor and outcome. 1471 respondents randomly assigned

into one of three group character that based on moral continuum which are most morally, morally ambiguous,

and most immoral character. The result shows that identification positively correlate with moral disengagement,

but the mediation which explains that moral judgement mediates the relationship between identification and

moral disengagement is not significant."
