"ABSTRAKPenggunaan nanopartikel perak (NPP) untuk analisis logam secara kolorimetri mengalami perkembangan. Pemilihan ligan sebagai modifikator NPP merupakan hal penting dalam kolorimetri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh asam amino L-sistein sebagai ligan terhadap selektivitas, sensitivitas, dan stabilitas NPP sebagai indikator logam pencemar, meningkatkan sensitivitas, serta mengidentifikasi kemampuan NPP termodifikasi L-sistein pada sampel ikan tongkol (Euthynnus affinis). NPP diperoleh dari campuran AgNO3 1 mM dan air rebusan daun bisbul (Diospyros discolor, Willd). Modifikasi dengan L-sistein 1 mM dilakukan dengan variasi perbandingan volume dan lama waktu pengadukan. Peningkatan sensitivitas dilakukan dengan menambahkan NaCl 1 M. NPP hasil modifikasi diaplikasikan pada sampel yang telah diberi cemaran logam. Serapan NPP pada panjang gelombang 400-530 nm diamati dengan spektrofotometer UVVis. Hasil pengujian larutan analit menggunakan NPP dapat mengubah warna coklat menjadi tidak berwarna untuk ion logam Cu2+ dan Hg2+ 500 ppm. NPP termodifikasi L-sistein 1 mM disertai penambahan NaCl 1 M memiliki nilai LOD 0,026 ppm untuk deteksi ion logam Cu2+. Modifikasi NPP dengan L-sistein 1 mM 10:3 (v:v) disertai pengadukan 2 jam tidak meningkatkan selektivitas dan sensitivitas, namun meningkatkan stabilitas larutan NPP. Penambahan NaCl 1 M meningkatkan sensitivitas deteksi ion logam Cu2+ 1 ppm dan Hg2+ 100 ppm. NPP termodifikasi L-sistein 1 mM disertai penambahan NaCl 1 M dapat diaplikasikan pada sampel yang dicemari ion logam Cu2+ dengan konsentrasi 1 ppm.

ABSTARCT

Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) as a color indicator for metal analysis is currently undergoing rapid development. The selection of the ligand as a modifier of the AgNPs are important in colorimetry. This study aims to determine the effect of Lcysteine on the selectivity, sensitivity, and stability of AgNPs as a indicator for metal contaminants, to increase sensitivity and to determine the ability of Lcysteine modified AgNPs in mackerel tuna samples (Euthynnus affinis). AgNPs is obtained from a mixture of 1 mM AgNO3 and velvet apple leaf broth (Diospyros discolor, Willd). Modification with 1 mM L-cysteine is done by variation of volume ratio and stirring duration. 1 M NaCl was added to increase the sensitivity of L-cysteine modified AgNPs. The modified AgNPs solution is then applied to samples contaminated with metals. Observations of AgNPs peak at wave length 400-530 nm are performed using UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The test results of analyte detection with AgNPs can change the color of brown to colorless solution for Cu2+ and Hg2+ 500 ppm. AgNPs modified by 1 mM L-cysteine with the addition of 1 M NaCl has a detection limit (LOD) of 0,026 ppm for Cu2+ ions. AgNPs modified with 1 mM L-cysteine 10:3 (v:v) with stirring 2 hours does not increase selectivity nor sensitivity of the AgNPs solution, but increases the stability of the AgNPs solution. The addition of 1 M NaCl increases the sensitivity to detect 1 ppm of Cu2+ ions and 100 ppm of Hg2+ ions. AgNPs modified by 1 mM L-cysteine with the addition of 1 M NaCl can be applied to mackerel tuna contaminated with metal ions Cu2+ at a concentration of 1 ppm."
