"Indonesia telah melakukan aksesi terhadap Konvensi Apostille melalui Peraturan Presiden No. 2 Tahun 2021 dengan tujuan menyederhanakan proses legalisasi dokumen publik untuk keperluan lintas negara. Penelitian ini berbentuk analisis yuridis empiris yang bertujuan untuk membahas dampak aksesi Konvensi Apostille terhadap proses hukum di Indonesia, khususnya dalam bidang hukum acara perdata internasional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan dokumen publik asing sebagai alat bukti dalam persidangan sudah terjadi sebelum aksesi Konvensi Apostille. Namun, hingga saat ini belum terdapat pengaturan khusus yang mengatur penggunaan dokumen yang telah disematkan apostille sebagai alat bukti tulisan dalam persidangan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa meskipun aksesi Konvensi Apostille bertujuan untuk mempermudah proses legalisasi dokumen, implementasinya di Indonesia masih memerlukan penyesuaian lebih lanjut dalam regulasi nasional untuk memastikan efektivitas dan kepastian hukum.

Indonesia has acceded to the Apostille Convention through Presidential Regulation No. 2 of 2021 with the aim of simplifying the legalization process of public documents for cross-border purposes. This study employs an empirical juridical analysis to discuss the impact of Indonesia's accession to the Apostille Convention on the legal processes in Indonesia, particularly in the field of international civil procedure law. The findings indicate that the use of foreign public documents as evidence in court proceedings has been occurring even before the accession to the Apostille Convention. However, to date, there are no specific regulations governing the use of documents bearing an apostille as written evidence in court proceedings. The study concludes that although the accession to the Apostille Convention aims to facilitate the legalization process of documents, its implementation in Indonesia still requires further adjustments in national regulations to ensure effectiveness and legal certainty."
