Skripsi ini membahas mengenai perilaku pencarian informasi siswa kelas XII SMA PSKD 1 Jakarta dalam persiapannya menghadapi Ujian Nasional. Permasalahan penelitian ini adalah perilaku pencarian informasi siswa kelas XII SMA PSKD 1 Jakarta yang menggunakan iPad dan internet dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi mereka. Penulis juga meneliti bagaimana peran perpustakaan dan pustakawan di saat siswa telah menggunakan iPad dan internet dalam pencarian informasi mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan metode studi kasus. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pencarian informasi yang dilakukan oleh siswa lebih kepada pencarian melalui internet dengan menggunakan iPad dikarenakan juga didukung oleh sistem pembelajaran yang diterapkan oleh pihak sekolah. Penelitian ini juga mengungkapkan bahwa peran perpustakaan serta pustakawan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi siswa kelas XII SMA PSKD 1 Jakarta masih belum maksimal. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa siswa kelas XII SMA PSKD I Jakarta lebih banyak mencari informasi dari internet dengan menggunakan iPad daripada mencari informasi dari perpustakaan.

ABSTRACT
This undergraduate thesis discusses about the information seeking behavior of Year XII students of PSKD 1 Jakarta High School, in their preparation for the National Examination. The research problem of this undergraduate thesis is the information seeking behavior of Year XII students of PSKD 1 Jakarta High School who use the iPad and the internet to fulfill their information needs. The author also examines the function and the role of libraries and librarians during the period of time students are in the process in who have been using the iPad and the internet in their information seeking. This research used a qualitative approach, and the case study method. The results of this study concluded that the seeking for information by students over to search through the internet with the iPad due also supported by a learning system that is implemented by the school. Then the role of libraries and librarians in meeting the information needs of Year XII students of PSKD 1 Jakarta High School not yet.
