Abstrak :
Tugas karya akhir ini membahas mengenai fenomena proses penangkapan yang ditayangkan pada publik sebagai hasil kerja sama antara media massa dengan kepolisian. Teori yang digunakan untuk menjelaskan fenomena tersebut, yaitu teori dramaturgi Erving Goffman, teori social exchange benefit, dan teori deterrence. Objek yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini, yaitu tayangan program “86” yang merupakan hasil kerja sama antara NET TV dengan Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia. Dari analisis yang dilakukan, terdapat temuan bahwa tayangan program “86”meskipun kerja sama yang dilakukan berdampak positif bagi pihak polisi maupun media massa, tetap terdapat celah adanya informasi yang dapat disalahgunakan oleh masyarakat yang berpotensi menjadi pelaku. ......This final project discusses the phenomenon of the arrest process that is aired to the public as a result of collaboration between the mass media and the police. The theories used to explain the phenomenon are Erving Goffman's dramaturgy theory, social exchange benefit theory, and deterrence theory. The object used in this paper is the broadcast of the "86" program which is the result of collaboration between NET TV and the Indonesian National Police. From the analysis conducted, there are findings that the broadcast of the "86" program, although the cooperation carried out has a positive impact on the police and mass media, there are still faults in information that can be misused by people who have the potential to become perpetrators.
