"ABSTRAK
Cervical cancer is one of the cancer types that become a haunting danger for many women in the world. In Indonesia, the prevalence rate reached 0.8% or an estimated 98,692 patients. Its prevalence increased to 10% in the commercial sex worker group. This study aimed to explain the effect of health promotion on knowledge and intention for early detection of cervical cancer using the inspection of visual acetate method in the commercial sex workers. This study was quantitative with a quasi experimental type, one group of pretest and posttest design. The population sample included the commercial sex workers at Genteng Subvillage, Patimban Village, Pusakanegara Subdistrict, Subang District and was determined by using an accidental sampling technique with 35 respondents. Data analysis used McNemar test. The results showed that there was an increase in knowledge after the health promotion activity and a significant change in intention to perform early detection of cervical cancer. From the statistical test, a p value of 0.000 was obtained for each variable. In conclusion, health promotion has a significant effect on the improvement in the knowledge and intention of the respondents."

"ABSTRAK
Peningkatan perilaku seksual berisiko serta penurunan sikap positif remaja terhadap keperawanan
menimbulkan asumsi bahwa meningkatnya perilaku seksual remaja dalam berpacaran terjadi
karena sikap positif terhadap pentingnya menjaga keperawanan mengalami penurunan. Penelitian
ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara sikap remaja terhadap keperawanan dengan
perilaku seksual dalam berpacaran di Indonesia dengan melibatkan variabel umur, jenis kelamin,
tingkat pendidikan, wilayah tempat tinggal, umur pertama kali pacaran, pengetahuan tentang risiko
kehamilan dan pengaruh teman sebaya sebagai variabel perancu. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian
kuantitatif dengan menggunakan data sekunder dari Survey Demografi Kesehatan Indonesia
(SDKI) tahun 2012. Populasinya adalah seluruh remaja di Indonesia baik remaja pria maupun
wanita di Indonesia yang berumur 15-24 tahun, belum menikah serta pernah atau sedang
berpacaran pada saat survey SDKI-KRR tahun 2012 dilakukan dengan sampel sebanyak 13.013
responden terdiri dari 7.329 responden pria dan 5.684 responden wanita. Hasil penelitian
menunjukan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara sikap remaja terhadap keperawanan dengan
perilaku seksual dalam berpacaran dengan nilai OR 3,6 (CI 2,3 – 5,5) dan setelah dikontrol oleh
variabel teman sebaya nilai OR menjadi 3,1 (CI 1,91 – 5,02). Tidak ada interaksi antara sikap
remaja terhadap keperawanan dengan umur, jenis kelamin, tingkat pendidikan, pengetahuan
tentang risiko kehamilan, dan pengaruh teman sebaya terhadap perilaku seksual remaja dalam
berpacaran serta pengaruh teman sebaya merupakan confounder. Remaja harus memiliki
komitmen untuk menjaga keperawanannya, selektif dalam pergaulan serta harus ditunjang oleh
peran orang tua dan para pembuat kebijakan terkait.

ABSTRACT
Report given in risky sexual behavior and decrease in positive attitudes toward adolescent
virginity, These events lead to the assumption that the increase in adolescent sexual
behavior in dating occur because of a positive attitude for importance of maintaining
virginity decreased. This study aims to determine the relationship between adolescent
attitudes toward virginity with sexual behavior in dating in Indonesia by involving the age
variable, gender, level of education, region of residence, age of first dating, knowledge
about the risk of pregnancy and peer influence as a confounding variable. This research is
a quantitative study by analytic design using secondary data from Indonesia Demograpic
Health Survey (IDHS) in 2012. Entire adolescent population in Indonesia both male and
female adolescents aged 15 – 24 years, not married or in a relationship and never at the
time of the IDHS in 2012 conducted with a sample of 13.013 respondents. Respondents
consisted of 7.329 male and 5.684 female respondents. The results showed a significant
relationship between adolescent attitudes toward virginity with sexual behavior in dating
with OR value of 3,6 (CI 2,3-5,5) and after controlled by variable peers OR value to 3,1
(CI 1,91-5,02). There is no interaction between adolescent attitudes toward virginity by
age, sex, level of education, knowledge about the risk of pregnancy, and Peer influence
on adolescent sexual behavior in dating as well as the influence of peers is a confounder.
The results of this study suggested that adolescents have commitment to keep her
virginity, selective in the association and it also be back by the role of parents and policy
makers related."
