Studi ini bertujuan menguji income-health gradient dan menguji secara empiris probibilitas dari variabel dependen terhadap status kesehatan anak terutama peran variabel asuransi, dan variabel ibu bekerja terhadap status kesehatan anak. Penggunaan 2 dua variabel tersebut bertujuan untuk mengurangi hubungan sosialekonomi antara pendapatan keluarga dan status kesehatan anak. Hasil replikasi dari penelitian Park 2010 menunjukan hasil income-health gradient yang berbeda. Pada penelitian ini hasil income-health gradient terjadi pada anak usia prasekolah dan sekolah, sedangkan penelitian Park 2010 hanya terjadi pada anak usia prasekolah saja. Hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan status kesehatan berdasarkan professional medical menunjukan hasil yang sama yaitu income-health gradient terjadi pada anak usia prasekolah dan sekolah. Peran variabel asuransi belum bisa mengurangi hubungan pendapatan keluarga dan kesehatan anak, sedangkan variabel ibu bekerja bisa mengurangi hubungan pendapatan keluarga dan kesehatan anak. Pengawasan dan peningkatan fasilitas asuransi oleh pemerintah sebagai solusi untuk meningkatkan kesehatan anak dalam upaya untuk memutuskan rantai kemiskinan antar generasi.

ABSTRACT
This study aims to examine income health gradient and empirically test the probability of dependent variable on the health status of children, especially the role of the insurance variable, and the working mother 39 s variable on the health status of the child. The use of 2 two variables aims to reduce the socioeconomic relationship between family income and health status of children. The results of replication from Park 39 s research 2010 show different income health gradient results. In this study income health gradient results occur in preschool and school age children, whereas Park 2010 research only occurs in preschool children only. The results of research using health status based on professional medical showed the same result that is income health gradient happened in preschool and school age children. The role of the insurance variable has not been able to reduce the relation between family income and child health, while the working mother variable can reduce the relation of family income and child health. Supervision and improvement of insurance facilities by the government as a solution to improve the health of children in an effort to break the chain of poverty between generations.
