Abstrak :
Incurred But Not Reported (IBNR) adalah salah satu bagian dari cadangan klaim yang harus disiapkan oleh perusahaan asuransi. Perusahaan asuransi di Indonesia umumnya menggunakan metode Chain Ladder dalam membentuk cadangan IBNR. Hal ini juga berlaku di perusahaan asuransi jiwa ABC. Namun dikarenakan metode Chain Ladder hanya bergantung pada nilai klaim, maka nilai yang ekstrim akan sangat memengaruhi ketepatan dari estimasi. Maka dari itu, metode Cape Cod dirancang untuk mengatasi kekurangan dari metode Chain Ladder dengan menambahkan pertimbangan ekspektasi klaim melalui pendapatan premi. Metode Cape Cod juga dinilai sebagai best practice dalam melakukan estimasi cadangan IBNR. Penelitian dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk melihat penerapan metode Cape Cod di perusahaan asuransi jiwa ABC dan apakah metode tersebut dapat menghasilkan nilai yang lebih mendekati nilai sebenarnya. Dengan menggunakan data dari perusahaan asuransi jiwa ABC dengan tahun pengamatan 2016-2018, didapatkan nilai deviasi dan eror yang lebih rendah pada metode Cape Cod dibandingkan dengan metode Chain Ladder untuk masing-masing tahun pengujian. Hasil penelitian ini sesuai dengan penelitian yang mengungkapkan bahwa metode Cape Cod akan menghasilkan nilai yang lebih mendekati nilai sebenarnya dibandingkan dengan metode Chain Ladder. Penelitian ini juga menyimpulkan bahwa metode Cape Cod dapat diterapkan pada perusahaan asuransi jiwa ABC untuk mendapatkan nilai cadangan IBNR yang lebih mendekati nilai sebenarnya ......Incurred But Not Reported (IBNR) is a part of the claim reserve that must be prepared by insurance companies. In general, insurance companies in Indonesia adopt Chain Ladder method to determine the IBNR reserves. This also applies to the ABC life insurance company. However, because the Chain Ladder method only depends on the value of the claim, the extreme value will greatly affect the accuracy of the estimate. Therefore, the Cape Cod method is designed to overcome the shortcomings of the Chain Ladder method by adding consideration of expected claims through premium income. Cape Cod methos is considered as the best practice for estimating IBNR reserves. This research was conducted at ABC life insurance company with the aim of seeing the application of the Cape Cod method and if the method can obtain a value closer to the true value. The results obtained were lower error values in the Cape Cod method compared to the Chain Ladder method for each testing year. The results of this study are consistent with previous research which revealed that the accuracy of the Cape Cod method is better than the Chain Ladder method. This study also concludes that the Cape Cod method can be applied to ABC life insurance companies to obtain an IBNR reserve value that is closer to its true value.

Inhibisi merupakan salah satu metode penghambatan laju korosi, salah satu jenis dari inhibitor adalah inhibitor organik yang memiliki sifat biodegradable sehingga bersifat lebih ramah lingkungandan relatif lebih murah dibandingkan inhibitor anorganik.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mempelajari perilaku inhibisi dari campuran ekstrak melinjo dan kunyit pada pipa baja API-5L di lingkungan NaCl 3,5% dengan menggunakan metode kehilangan berat dan polarisasi. Dalam penelitian ini variasi kadar ekstrak melinjo dan kunyit dicampur dengan berbagai kadar. Sebagai single inhibitor melinjo menghasilkan efisiensi yang lebih tinggi dari sebagian besar kadar campuran. Pada percobaan polarisasi efisiensi terbaik ada pada campuran 6 ml kedua ekstrak dengan acampuran 8 ml kedua ekstrak sebagai efisiensi kedua terbaik. ......Inhibition is one of corrosion protection method, one kind of corrosion inhibitor is organic inhibitor which has biodegradable characteristic thus the inhibitor is environmental friendlier than conventional inorganic inhibitor. This research was done to study the inhibition activity of combination between melinjo and turmeric extract for API-5L steel pipe in NaCl 3,5% environment. Weight loss and polarization method were used to measure the inhibitor efficiency. In this study concentration of melinjo extract and turmeric extract were varied.It was found that as a single inhibitor melinjo extract has more efficiency than the combination inhibitor. In polarization method it was found that the combination of 6 ml of the two extract has the highest efficiency followed by the combination of 8ml.
