"ABSTRAKPerilaku inhibisi teh bunga rosella berdasarkan pengaruh perbedaan konsentrasi yang ditambahkan (2 ml, 4 ml, 6 ml dan 8 ml) pada baja karbon rendah di lingkungan NaCl 3.5 % telah diteliti dengan menggunakan metode polarisasi. Ekstrak ubi ungu dipilih sebagai green corrosion inhibitor karena mengandung senyawa antioksidan yang dapat menghambat laju korosi. Waktu pengujian sampel baja SPCC untuk semua penambahan konsentrasi adalah sama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan teh bunga rosella merupakan inhibitor korosi yang efektif untuk baja karbon rendah di lingkungan korosif, karena dapat menghambat laju korosi dengan efisiensi sebesar 57.32 - 59.31 % dengan penambahan konsentrasi 2 - 8 ml teh bunga rosella.

ABSTRACTBehavioral inhibition of rosella flower tea based on the effect of different concentrations were added (2 ml, 4 ml, 6 ml and 8ml) on low carbon steel sample in NaCl 3.5 % environment has been investigated using polarization method. Rosella flower tea is selected as green corrosion inhibitors because they contain antioxidant compounds that can inhibit the corrosion rate. SPCC steel sample immersion time for all the additional concentrations are equal, ie for 5 days. Results showed rosella flower tea is effective corrosion inhibitor for low carbon steel in corrosion environment, because it can inhibit the corrosion rate with an efficiency of 57.32 - 59.31 % with the addition of rosella flower tea concentration of 2-8 ml."
