"Penargetan investasi luar negeri merupakan komitmen dari Pertamina yang diimplementasikan dalam akuisisi saham Maurel&Prom yang memiliki sumur eksplorasi di Myanmar sebanyak 24,5 persen. Jika pengembangan lapangan migas terus tertunda, maka akan mengibatkan Indonesia menjadi negara pengimpor net migas pada tahun 2042. Lokasi penelitian terletak pada daerah Tegyigon yang berada di Sub-Cekungan Pyay, termasuk Cekungan Myanmar Tengah yang terdapat di Negara Myanmar. Nilai sumber daya migas merupakan acuan pada penentuan kebijakan, investasi, hingga strategi pengembangan lapangan. Namun, nilai sumber daya adalah suatu angka perkiraan yang memiliki tingkat kematangan, risiko, dan ketidakpastian yang berbeda-beda. Perbedaan nilai tersebut bisa disebabkan oleh tingkat kematangan studi dan proyek serta ketidakpastian dari sisi teknis maupun risiko dari sisi keekonomian. Klasifikasi lapangan migas juga diperlukan untuk memahami area Tegyigon lebih lanjut. Metode seismik pasif digunakan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar cadangan migas yang ada pada area ini. Manajemen perumusan strategi diterapkan dalam proses aktivasi kembali lapangan migas. Faktor yang berpengaruh dalam pengambilan keputusan dalam pengembangan lapangan migas adalah kondisi politik negara Myanmar yang sedang konflik membuat investasi migas atau pengembangan lapangan terhambat. Sikap yang berpengaruh dalam tahapan pengambilan keputusan untuk perancangan aktivasi lapangan migas adalah profesionalisme, kode etik serta mengutamakan aspek keselamatan, kesehatan, keamanan kerja & lingkungan.

Targeting foreign investment was a commitment from Pertamina which was implemented in the acquisition of 24.5 percent shares in Maurel&Prom, which owns exploration wells in Myanmar. If the development of oil and gas fields continues to be postponed, it will affect Indonesia in becoming a net oil and gas importing country in 2042. The research location was located in the Tegyigon area which is in the Pyay Sub-Basin, including the Central Myanmar Basin in Myanmar. The value of oil and gas resources is a reference for determining policies, investments and field development strategies. However, resource value is an estimated number that has varying degrees of maturity, risk and uncertainty. The difference in value can be caused by the level of maturity of studies and projects as well as uncertainty from the technical side and risks from the economic side. Oil and gas field classification was also needed to understand the Tegyigon area further. The passive seismic method was used to determine how large the oil and gas reserves are in this area. Strategy formulation management was applied in the oil and gas field reactivation process. An influential factor in decision making in developing oil and gas fields is the political conditions in the country of Myanmar which are currently in conflict, which makes oil and gas investment or field development hampered. Attitudes that influence the decision-making stage for designing oil and gas field activation are professionalism, code of ethics and prioritizing safety, health, work security & environmental aspects."
