Abstrak :
Salah satu upaya pemerintah Indonesia dalam rangka menciptakan kemandirian industri pada sektor otomotif dengan cara memperdalam struktur industri melalui penguatan pada industri hulu dan hilir serta meningkatkan produksi Kendaraan Bermotor Roda Empat (KBR4) dalam negeri Kementerian Perindustrian mengeluarkan Peraturan Menteri tentang kebijakan kendaraan Low Cost Green Car. Setelah 7 tahun berjalan kebijakan tersebut diharapkan mampu mencapai tujuan kemandirian industri dimaksud. Kemandirian industri yang diharapkan mampu mengurangi impor baik untuk KBR4 nya maupun komponennya. Penelitian dilakukan dengan melihat hubungan antara kebijakan LCGC dengan impor KBR4 dan komponennya dengan menggunakan metode ekonometrika  Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Hasilnya didapatkan bahwa pada impor KBR4, penjualan LCGC memberikan pengaruh dalam penurunan nilai impor. Sementara itu penjualan LCGC tidak memberikan pengaruh terhadap impor komponen KBR4. ......One of the efforts of the Indonesian government in the context of creating industrial independence in the automotive sector by deepening the structure of the industry through strengthening the upstream and downstream industries and increasing the production of domestic four-wheeled vehicles (KBR4). The Ministry of Industry issued a Ministerial Regulation concerning the Low Cost Green Car vehicle policy. After 7 years the policy is expected to be able to achieve the intended independence of the industry. The independence of the industry is expected to reduce imports for both KBR4 and its components. The study was conducted by looking at the relationship between LCGC policies with KBR4 imports and its components using the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) econometrics method. The results show that on KBR4 imports, LCGC sales have an effect in reducing the value of imports. Meanwhile LCGC sales had no effect on KBR4 component imports
