Masalah identitas selalu menjadi diskusi yang berlanjut di sejarah Arsitektur Indonesia. Untuk waktu yang lama, ide identitas selalu berubah dari satu periode ke periode lainnya, dan arsitektur tumbuh sesuai dengan masyarakat dan kejadian disekitarnya. Skripsi ini adalah penulisan yang deskriptif membahas identitas Arsitektur Indonesia; menemukan pola penentu selagi melihat sejarah Arsitektur Indonesia. Skripsi ini bertujuan untuk memahami lebih jauh tentang apa identitas Arsitektur Indonesia di era kontemporer, dan bagaimana identitas Arsitektur Indonesia diwakili di era saat ini dengan melihat beberapa bangunan yang baru saja direnovasi di Gelora Bung Karno sebagai contoh. ......The matter of identity has always been an on-going discussion through out the history of Indonesian Architecture. For a long time now, the idea of identity changes from one period to the other, and architecture grows in accordance to its society and recent happenings. This thesis is a descriptive writing discussing the identity of Indonesian Architecture; finding a common denominator as we look through the history of Indonesian Architecture. This thesis aims to understand further on what identity of Indonesian Architecture is in the contemporary era, and how the identity of Indonesian Architecture is represented in the current era by looking at some of the newly renovated buildings in Gelora Bung Karno as examples.
