"ABSTRAKSeiring berkembangnya teknologi dan penggunaan media social, para remaja memanfaatkan teknologi tersebut untuk berinteraksi satu sama lain dan mencari informasi dengan pesat. Tujuan dari riset ini untuk mengerti lebih dalam mengenai dampak negatif dan positif yang teknologi dan media social berikan terhadap keterampilan dan interpersonal individual para remaja. Empat remaja dari latar belakang yang berbeda telah berpartisipasi dalam sebuah interview yang telah dilaksanakan untuk mendukung riset ini. Riset ini juga didukung oleh beberapa jurnal yang berbeda. Hasil dari riset ini membuktikan bahwa teknologi perlahan memberikan dampak terhadap interpersonal para remaja. Para remaja cenderung tergantung pada teknologi dan terlihat sulit untuk berkomunikasi secara langsung. Oleh sebab itu ada beberapa rekomendasi menjadi solusi terhadap masalah yang telah disebut diatas.

ABSTRACTAs the development of technology and social media, teenagers utilize this platform as it facilitates them to interact with others or simply find information within second. The objective of this research is to find a further understanding the negative and positive impact, which both technology and social media give towards the teenager s interpersonal skills. An interview was done to four different Indonesian high school students coming from different background. The research is also supported by different literature review from various different journals. As a result from this research, the technology and social media slowly impact teenager s interpersonal skills. They are now more dependent on technology and find it difficult to do a face to face communication. There are recommendations to deal with this issue. "
