Abstrak :
Virtual Youtuber atau sering disebut sebagai VTuber menjadi salah satu entitas unik yang kini muncul di era digital. Kemunculannya yang cukup masif pada akhirnya membentuk suatu komunitas virtual yang memiliki keunikannya sendiri. Interaksi yang terjadi di dalam komunitas VTuber akan selalu berkaitan dengan konten yang dibuat oleh para VTuber. Konten yang dimaksud secara spesifik adalah video atau pun live streaming yang mereka lakukan di Youtube. Melalui konten tersebut interaksi terjadi dan VTuber itu sendiri diakui di dalam komunitas, tetapi dengan konten itu pula terjadi pertukaran nilai dan materiel yang bisa dirasakan oleh VTuber. Penelitian etnografi ini akan membahas sense of community yang dirasakan para VTuber. Lebih lanjut penilitian ini akan membahas konten yang menjadi sarana komunikasi para VTuber di dalam komunitas sekaligus sebagai komoditas dengan kerangka teori komunikasi sebagai ritual. ......The Virtual Youtuber, also known as VTuber, is one of the unique entities that have emerged in the internet era. Its massive emergence has eventually formed a virtual community that has its own uniqueness. The interactions that occur within the VTuber community's interactions will always be related to the content that the VTubers produce. The content in question is specifically the videos or live streamings that they do on Youtube. The interaction occurs through the content and the VTubers itself are recognized within the community, but with the content, there is also an exchange of values and materials that can be felt by VTuber. This ethnographic research will discuss the sense of community that the VTubers feel. Furthermore, this research will discuss the content that serves as means of communication for the VTubers within the community as well as a commodity with the theoretical framework of communication as a ritual.
