Skripsi ini membahas tentang evaluasi koleksi di perpustakaan Kementerian Sosial RI menggunakan metode konspektus. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi koleksi buku perpustakaan Kementerian Sosial RI serta melihat kesesuaian koleksi yang dimiliki perpustakaan Kementerian Sosial RI. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode konspektus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Evaluasi koleksi pada penelitian ini berpusat pada koleksi perpustakaan (collection-centered). Data dikumpulkan dan ditulis ke dalam lembar kerja konspektus serta dilakukan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa koleksi buku terbitan departemen sosial berada pada tingkatan 1, 2a, 2b, dan 4; koleksi buku terbitan non-departemen sosial berada pada tingkatan 1b, 2a, dan 2b; dan koleksi referensi yang berada pada tingkatan 2. Penilaian koleksi dilakukan oleh peneliti yang kemudian diberikan kepada pustakawan untuk dinilai kembali. Analisis bahasa pada terbitan departemen sosial, non-departemen sosial dan koleksi referensi memperlihatkan bahwa mayoritas koleksi memiliki indikator P yang berarti bahan literatur didominasi oleh bahasa Indonesia yang merupakan bahasa utama perpustakaan.

ABSTRACT
This thesis discusses the evaluation of book collection at the Library of Ministry of Social Affairs using the Conspectus Method. This study is aimed to evaluate the collection of the Ministry of Social Affairs Library. This study uses conspectus method with a qualitative approach. Evaluation of the collection in this study is focused on the collection. The data are collected and written into the worksheet and through the interview. The result of this study shows that the collection published by the social departement is in level 1, 2a, 2b, and 4; the collection published by the non social departement is in level 1b, 2a, and 2b; the reference collection is in level 2. The assessment of the collection done by researcher and given to the librarian to reassessed. Analysis of the language on the social departement, non social departement, and reference collection shows that the majority of collection has P indicator which means the material of literature is dominated by Indonesian language which is the primary language of the library.
