"Fenomena childfree di kalangan generasi Z Indonesia makin marak dibicarakan, terutama setelah kemunculan seorang Muslimah YouTuber dan selebgram Indonesia yang mempromosikan gaya hidup childfree. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pendapat mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Pengetahuan Budaya Universitas Indonesia (FIB UI) sebagai representasi generasi Z dan masyarakat modern tentang childfree. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode kuantitatif yang diperoleh melalui survei menggunakan skala Likert. Hasil survei menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden (92%) memahami pengertian childfree dengan jelas. Meskipun begitu, responden memiliki pendapat yang beragam tentang faktor-faktor pendukung pilihan childfree. Selain itu, lebih dari setengah dari jumlah total responden (66%) setuju bahwa modernisasi berpengaruh dalam mengubah pandangan masyarakat tentang anak. Dengan demikian, hasil survei memberikan gambaran tentang bagaimana gaya hidup childfree yang berkembang di kalangan generasi Z di Indonesia dan bagaimana modernisasi berperan penting dalam perkembangan gaya hidup childfree.

The phenomenon of childfree among generation Z Indonesians is increasingly being discussed, especially after the emergence of an Indonesian Muslimah YouTuber and selebgram who promotes a childfree lifestyle. This study aims to explore the opinions of students of the Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Indonesia (FIB UI) as a representation of generation Z and modern society about childfree. This research uses a quantitative method approach obtained through a survey using a Likert scale. The survey results show that most respondents (92%) clearly understand the meaning of childfree. However, respondents had mixed opinions about the factors supporting the choice of childfree. In addition, more than half of the total number of respondents (66%) agreed that modernization is influential in changing people's views on children. Thus, the survey results provide an overview of how the childfree lifestyle is evolving among Generation Z in Indonesia and how modernization plays an important role in the development of the childfree lifestyle.
