"Mobil listrik sebagai alternatif dari sarana transformasi memiliki suatu permasalahan dasar yang terkait dengan cara motor listrik menyalurkan tenaga agar roda dapat bergerak. Permasalahan tersebut antara lain adalah menentukan ukuran dan spesifikasi motor yang layak untuk dipasangkan ke mobil. Skripsi ini memaparkan hasil simulasi dari dua motor yang didesain DTE FTUI sebelum kedua motor tersebut diterapkan ke mobil. Hasil dari simulasi menunjukkan bahwa dari kedua desain motor, PMSM1 dan PMSM2, yang lebih cocok untuk dijadikan mesin penggerak mobil listrik ini adalah PMSM2.

Electric car as an alternative of transportation has some fundamental problem concerning how this machine transfer its power to make the tyre move. The first problem is to determine the size of the motor so it can provide enough power, yet still maintain a compact volume so its size won rsquo t hinder the movement of the car itself. This paper present the simulation and of two different PMSM designs designed by DTE FTUI before installing them to the actual car. From the result were concluded that between the two designs, PMSM1 and PMSM2, the most suitable motor to run the city car is PMSM2."
