"Penelitian ini membahas profil kesalahan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa kedua. Objek yang diteliti adalah produksi tulisan yang dihasilkanoleh mahasiswa program studi Bahasa Indonesia di Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi profil kesalahan dalam produksi tulisan dilihat dari segi tataran fonologis, morfologis, dan sintaksis. Tujuan lainnya adalah mendeskripsikan keterkaitan antara profil kesalahan dengan latar belakang bahasa ibu pembelajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwabahasa ibu pembelajar pengaruh yang kuat sistem bahasa kedua. Pembelajar cenderung menjadikan bahasa ibu mereka sebagai satu-satunya acuan yang dapat diandalkan dalam proses pembelajaran bahasa kedua.

This study examines errors in second language learning. The object of this study are writings of students in Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. The purpose of this study is to identify errors in writings by assigning the items into different linguistic levels: phonological, morphological, syntactical. Another purpose is to describe the connection between errors and learners' native language. It is found that the native language of learners exerts a strong influence on the acquisition of the second language system.The learners tend to use their native language as the only reference to relied on second language learning."
