"Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak shock pertumbuhan ekonomi China terhadap perekonomian Ethiopia. Variabel makroekonomi Ethiopia yang dianalisis meliputi pertumbuhan ekonomi, suku bunga riil dan nilai tukar riil. Dalam studi ini, shock pertumbuhan ekonomi China dianalisis melalui indeks harga global komoditas food and beverage. Dengan mengadaptasi model SVAR dengan block exogeneity yang dikembangkan oleh Cushman et al. 1997 dan Osborn et al 2015 , studi ini mendapati adanya respon pertumbuhan harga komoditas global yang tinggi terhadap shock pertumbuhan ekonomi China. Sementara itu, dalam kaitannya dengan perekonomian Ethiopia, studi ini menemukan adanya peran yang besar dari pertumbuhan ekonomi China dalam mendinamisasi perekonomian Ethiopia.

This study aims to analyze the impact of China 39 s economic growth shock on the economy of Ethiopia. Macroeconomic variables of Ethiopia which analyzed are economic growth, real interest rates and real exchange rate. In this study, the shock of China 39 s economic growth was analyzed through the global price index of food and beverage commodities. Adapting SVAR model with exogeneity block, developed by Cushman et al. 1997 and Osborn et al. 2015 , this study found a high response of global commodity price growth to the shock of China 39 s economic growth. Meanwhile, in relation to the economy of Ethiopia, the study finds a large role of China 39 s economic growth in dynamising the economy of Ethiopia."

Real Option adalah strategi untuk menghadapi keadaan bisnis yang tidak menentu dalam menghadapi beberapa keaadaan yang tidak dapat diperkirakan secara cennat seperti keadaan ekonomi makro dan mikro, teknologi, perubahan permintaan dan persediaan, kenaikan harga, kegagalan suatu proyek dan lain sebagainya. Para pengusaha dapat menggunakan ketidakpastian dan kesempatan dengan memperhitungkan fleksibilitas dalam pengambilan keputusan pada masa sekarang dan masa yang akan datang. Pada dasamya metoda ini mengikuti jalan pemikiran dari financial option yang memberikan hak bukan suatu kewajipan terhadap option yang telah dibeli. Real options dapat menjadi strategi dalam setiap bisnis. Ada bermacam-macam jenis real options yaitu timing option, growth option, staging option, exit option, flexibility options, dan lain sebagainya. Penerapan real options ini memerlukan skenario dalam merencanakan suatu strategi dengan mempelajari beberapa kondisi yang mungkin akan terjadi. Beberapa perhitungan nilai option mengikuti perhitungan financial option seperti Black-Sholes, Binomial dan Monte Carlo. Pada tugas akhir ini saya menerapkan real options ini sebagai strategi dalam bisnis properti yang mengalami keterpurukan yang amat besar dikarenakan krisis yang melanda Indonesia. Properti sendiri merupakan bisnis yang amat peka terhadap beberapa faktor, misalnya keadaan ekonomi suatu negara. Penerapan metoda real options pada properti ini ditekankan pada beberapa proyek gedung yang terhenti pembangunannya dan juga adanya kelebihan persediaan area perkantoran di daerah segitiga emas Jakarta. Dengan menggunakan metode real options para pengusaha dapat memaksimalkan kesempatan terhadap kesempatan yang akan datang dalam situasi yang tidak menentu. Real options kelak akan membantu para pengusaha khususnya di Indonesia agar dapat mempelajari lebih cennat tentang usaha yang akan dijalani dengan belajar dari pengalaman sebelumnya."
