"The finite element method (FEM) has become the most widely accepted general-purpose technique for numerical simulations in engineering and applied mathematics. Principal applications arise in continuum mechanics, fluid flow, thermodynamics, and field theory. In these areas, computational methods are essential and benefit strongly from the enormous advances in computer technology. B-splines play an important role in approximation and geometric modeling. They are used in data fitting, computer-aided design (CAD), automated manufacturing (CAM), and computer graphics.
Finite Element Methods with B-Splines describes new weighted approximation techniques, combining the computational advantages of B-splines and standard finite elements. In particular, no grid generation is necessary, which eliminates a difficult and often time-consuming preprocessing step. The meshless methods are very efficient and yield highly accurate solutions with relatively few parameters. This is illustrated for typical boundary value problems in fluid flow, heat conduction, and elasticity.
Topics discussed by the author include basic finite element theory, algorithms for B-splines, weighted bases, stability and error estimates, multigrid techniques, applications, and numerical examples. The text is essentially self-contained and easily accessible to graduate students in mathematics, engineering, and computer sciences. The new concepts are also of interest to academic researchers and to scientists in industry who are developing finite element software. Some basic facts on functional analysis and partial differential equations, which are required, are listed in the appendix."

"Sebagai salah satu kebutuhan primer manusia dan bagian dari kebudayaan masyarakat, makanan memiliki fungsi sosial dan budaya yang dapat berhubungan dengan individu dan kelompok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan fungsi makanan yang terkandung dalam cerita anak I Love Cooking karya Sekar Maya Padmaniasti Nakula yang diterbitkan oleh DAR! Mizan. Makanan-makanan yang terdapat di dalam cerita dianalisis dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan teknik studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa makanan-makanan di dalam cerita I Love Cooking memiliki fungsi sebagai alat untuk mempererat hubungan antarindividu, menggambarkan kepribadian antarindividu dan antarkelompok, menunjukkan status sosial si penyaji makanan, sebagai komoditas, dan sebagai penunjuk identitas budaya.

As one of the primary human needs and part of the culture of society, food has social and cultural functions that can relate to individuals. This study aims to reveal the function of food contained in the children's story I Love Cooking by Sekar Maya Padmaniasti Nakula that was published by DAR! Mizan. The foods contained in the story were analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods and literature study techniques. The results of this study indicate that the foods in the I Love Cooking story have a function as a tool to strengthen relationships between individuals, describe personalities between individuals and between groups, indicate the social status of the food provider, as a commodity, and as a marker of cultural identity."

"Penelitian ini membahas tema kemanusiaan yang terdapat dalam kelima cerpen pada Lelaki Kabut dan Boneka. Tema kemanusiaan didapat melalui analisis terhadap empat aspek intrinsik karya sastra, yakni tokoh dan penokohan, alur, latar, dan sudut pandang. Skripsi ini juga menjelaskan bagaimana isu-isu kemanusiaan dipersoalkan oleh Helvy Tiana Rosa dalam karyanya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian formal dengan analisis struktural yang deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa persoalan kemanusiaan merupakan topik utama yang dibicarakan oleh penulis dalam kelima cerpennya.

This research is discuss about the theme of humanity which existed in five short stories of Lelaki Kabut dan Boneka. There are four intrinsic aspects in work of literature which can be used to find the theme of humanity. These four aspects are characters, plot, setting, and point of view. This research is also define how the author make and create the issues of humanity in her works. This tesis uses formal method with descriptive structural analysis. This result is explain that the issues of humanity is the main topic in five short stories of Lelaki Kabut dan Boneka."

"ABSTRACT
The goal of this study is to design a wing construction of a flying car before continuing to make the prototype of the wing. In this preliminary process of engineering consist of calculating and designing the wing that capable to work under certain parameter. In the designing process we use computer aided design software of INVENTOR 2017. After determining the initial design of the wing, we need to simulate the design itself. In order to know whether the design is survivable without making the prototype yet, we simulate a structural load on the design. Using an engineering software consist of running a finite element analysis which in this case we use PATRAN 2012 with a solver NASTRAN 2012. The output of this study is to know that the design of the wing could hold the given load that are simulated through the finite element analysis software. The result output is a design of a wing construction with a combined wing span of 8.2 meters that made with tubular spar. The wing should sustain a given load of the vehicle which referenced to the flight envelope of Cessna 172 calculated at 3000 kg of the whole wing and considered as the maximum load to the structure in condition of 3G.

ABSTRAK
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk merancang konstruksi sayap mobil terbang sebelum melanjutkan membuat prototipe sayap. Dalam proses pendahuluan ini teknik terdiri dari menghitung dan merancang sayap yang mampu bekerja di bawah parameter tertentu. Dalam proses perancangan kami menggunakan perangkat lunak desain berbantuan komputer dari INVENTOR 2017. Setelah menentukan desain awal sayap, kami perlu mensimulasikan desain itu sendiri. Untuk mengetahui apakah desain dapat bertahan tanpa membuat prototipe, kami mensimulasikan beban struktural pada desain. Menggunakan perangkat lunak teknik terdiri dari menjalankan analisis elemen hingga dalam hal ini kami menggunakan PATRAN 2012 dengan NASTRAN pemecah 2012. Elemen analisis perangkat lunak output. Hasilnya adalah konstruksi sayap dengan gabungan 8,2 meter yang dibuat dengan tubular spar. Sayap harus dipertahankan pada amplop penerbangan Cessna 172 yang dihitung pada 3000 kg seluruh sayap dan dianggap sebagai beban maksimum untuk struktur dalam kondisi 3G."

"ABSTRAK
Skripsi ini membahas konstruksi gender dalam drama televisi Gomenne Seishun. Bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana konstruksi gender ditunjukkan dalam Gomenne Seishun terutama melalui aspek naratif dan visual. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analitis yang membahas segi naratif dan visual objek penelitian. Analisis menggunakan struktur naratif dari Algirdas Julian Greimas sebagai landasan teori, dan teori wacana feminisme oleh Judith P. Butler sebagai landasan konseptual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Gomenne Seishun merepresentasikan konstruksi gender masyarakat Jepang dari segi struktur dan narasinya.

ABSTRACT
This thesis is about gender construction in television drama Gomenne Seishun. The aim of this thesis is to describe how Gomenne Seishun shows resistance against gender construction from narrative and visual aspects. This research uses descriptive analitic method which discusses narrative and visual aspects of the research object. The analysis based on narrative structural theory by Algirdas Julian Greimas as basis theory, and theory of feminism by Judith P. Butler as basis conceptual. This research found that Gomenne Seishun representate the resistance against gender construction in Japan society by the structure and naration."

"This volume contains the proceedings of the 11th International Conference on Structural Analysis of Historical Constructions (SAHC) that was held in Cusco, Peru in 2018. It disseminates recent advances in the areas related to the structural analysis of historical and archaeological constructions. The challenges faced in this field show that accuracy and robustness of results rely heavily on an interdisciplinary approach, where different areas of expertise from managers, practitioners, and scientists work together.
Bearing this in mind, SAHC 2018 stimulated discussion on the new knowledge developed in the different disciplines involved in analysis, conservation, retrofit, and management of existing constructions. "Closer (2004) menunjukkan betapa mudahnya orang modern bertemu dengan orang asing, baik secara online maupun secara langsung. Terlepas dari kemudahan yang dimiliki orang modern, kemungkinan tergoda oleh orang asing juga besar. Untuk dapat melihat korelasi antara orang asing dan godaan, tulisan ini menganalisis unsur-unsur film Closer (2004) tentang bagaimana mereka menggambarkan tema godaan dan mengkaji bagaimana keempat karakter dalam film tersebut merepresentasikan perjuangan manusia modern dalam mencari cinta melalui orang asing. Dengan menggunakan analisis struktural dan model aktan oleh Greimas, penulis menyimpulkan bahwa semua tokoh utama memiliki godaan yang ditempatkan di sisi lawan aktan. Berdasarkan diagram, karakter utama termotivasi untuk membuat hidup mereka lebih baik. Tidak ada yang bermaksud menyakiti orang lain sejak awal. Namun, tergoda oleh orang asing membuat mereka berbohong dan mengkhianati pasangannya. Oleh karena itu, kebenaran menjadi penghancur koneksi mereka ketika terungkap. Terjatuh dalam godaan membuat karakter semakin jauh dari objeknya, yaitu cinta. Seperti yang dikatakan Alice, satu-satunya cara untuk keluar dari godaan adalah dengan memiliki 'deep inner strength'.

Closer (2004) shows how easy it is for modern people to meet strangers, whether it is online or in person. Despite the convenience that modern people have, the probability of being tempted by strangers is also big. To be able to see the correlation between strangers and temptation, this paper analyzes the elements of the film Closer (2004) on how they portray the theme of temptation and examines how the four characters in the film represent modern people's struggles in seeking love through strangers. Using structural analysis and the actantial model by Greimas, the writer concludes that all of the main characters have temptations placed on the opponent’s side of the actant. Based on the diagrams, the main characters are motivated to make their lives better. No one intended to hurt the other person in the first place. However, being tempted by strangers made them lie and betray their partners. Therefore, truth becomes the destroyer of their connections when it comes out. Falling into temptations has made the characters further away from their object, which is love. Just like what Alice said, the only way to be out of temptation is by having ‘deep inner strength’."
