"Although the last decade has seen steady progress towards wider acceptance of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, and queer (LGBTQ) individuals, LGBTQ residential and commercial areas have come under increasing pressure from gentrification and redevelopment initiatives. As a result many of these neighborhoods are losing their special character as safe havens for sexual and gender minorities. Urban planners and municipal officials have sometimes ignored the transformation of these neighborhoods and at other times been complicit in these changes. Planning and LGBTQ Communities brings together experienced planners, administrators, and researchers in the fields of planning and geography to reflect on the evolution of urban neighborhoods in which LGBTQ populations live, work, and play. The authors examine a variety of LGBTQ residential and commercial areas to highlight policy and planning links to the development of these neighborhoods. Each chapter explores a particular urban context and asks how the field of planning has enabled, facilitated, and/or neglected the specialized and diverse needs of the LGBTQ population.A central theme of this book is that urban planners need to think "beyond queer space" because LGBTQ populations are more diverse and dispersed than the white gay male populations that created many of the most visible gayborhoods. The authors provide practical guidance for cities and citizens seeking to strengthen neighborhoods that have an explicit LGBTQ focus as well as other areas that are LGBTQ-friendly. They also encourage broader awareness of the needs of this marginalized population and the need to establish more formal linkages between municipal government and a range of LGBTQ groups. Planning and LGBTQ Communities also adds useful material for graduate level courses in planning theory, urban and regional theory, planning for multicultural cities, urban geography, and geographies of gender and sexuality"--
"Planning and LGBTQ Communities gives planners concrete, practical guidance to creating inclusive communities for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered individuals, couples and families. Each chapter, written by experienced city planners, administrators, and researchers, examines specific urban contexts and how city planners facilitated or neglected the needs of LGBTQ populations. As the last decade has brought major cultural and legislative victories for LGBTQ people, "gayborhoods" and other LGBTQ residential and commercial areas have changed in character. Planning and LGBTQ Communities examines these changes, the pressures that cause them, and the role that planners and municipal officials have had in the gentrification and redevelopment of these spaces. With case studies from the United States, Canada, Australia, and South Africa, this book offers planners around the world a way to better accommodate and build for marginalized people"--"

The Correlation Factors with the New Leprosy Case Supposed to be by Household Contact at Bekasi, 1997Leprosy is a infectious disease with the characters become cronical and has big social impact. The infection through the close and long contact, so that household contact with the leprosy patient supposed to be has high rich to the infection case. Nevertheless not all the house hold contact will become a case, it is important to be known that the correlation factors with the infection of the leprosy disease supposed to be by living together contact.
The research has been doing at Bekasi with the cross sectional design. The population are 974 house hold contact with the leprosy patient, and 704 leprosy patient Total sample about 400.consist of 111 leprosy patient, and 289 not leprosy patient, thet has been chosen by stratified random sampling proportionally.
The result shows that I of 3.6 house hold contact has leprosy. There are many correlation factor i.e.education, knowledge, marital status, job, age, hygiene sanotation, the length of contact, closely and the nutrient ( p< 0.005), and the closely variable has the strongest correlation (PDR= 6.87 ). The result of the multivariate analysis there are 6 main variables that has correlation i.e. education, nutritien, job, knowledge, closely and marital status after interaction judgment by done there are 5 interactions from the main variables that meaningfully (p<0.005), so that there will be a model using 6 main variables and 5 interaction variables."

"The reconstruction of society after conflict is complex and multifaceted. This book investigates this theme as it relates to cultural heritage through a number of case studies relating to European wars since 1864. The case studies show in detail how buildings, landscapes, and monuments become important agents in postconflict reconstruction, as well as how their meanings change and how they become sites of competition over historical narratives and claims. Looking at iconic and lesser-known sites, this book connects broad theoretical discussions of reconstruction and memorialization to specific physical places, and in the process it traces shifts in their meanings over time. This book identifies common threads and investigates their wider implications. It explores the relationship between cultural heritage and international conflict, paying close attention to the long aftermaths of acts of destruction and reconstruction and making important contributions through the use of new empirical evidence and critical theory. Marie Louise Stig Sorensen is a Reader in Archaeology at the University of Cambridge and Professor of Bronze Age Studies at Leiden University. She coordinates the University of Cambridge's postgraduate degree program in archaeological heritage and museums, one of the first degree courses in this field"

White, Mark D., 1971-
"The first look at the philosophy behind the Captain America comics and movies, publishing in advance of the movie release of Captain America: The Winter Solider in April 2014. In The Virtues of Captain America, philosopher and long-time comics fan Mark D. White argues that the core principles, compassion, and judgment exhibited by the 1940's comic book character Captain America remain relevant to the modern world. Simply put, ""Cap"" embodies many of the classical virtues that have been important to us since the days of the ancient Greeks: honesty, courage, loyalt."
