"Mathematical formulas for Industrial and mechanical engineering serves the needs of students and teachers as well as professional workers in engineering who use mathematics. The contents and size make it especially convenient and portable. The widespread availability and low price of scientific calculators have greatly reduced the need for many numerical tables that make most handbooks bulky. However, most calculators do not give integrals, derivatives, series and other mathematical formulas and figures that are often needed. Accordingly, this book contains that information in an easy way to access in addition to illustrative examples that make formulas clearer. "

The design of the centrifugal pump is somewhat complicated that it could troubles those who want to get a thorough understanding on the subject. The objective of this experiment is to build a simple model that can give a good understanding on the basic principles of the centrifugal pump to those who are not yet familiar with the centrifugal pump. The model is a simplication of the real centrifugal pump design and focuses mainly on the impeller element, but without putting aside the importance of other elements of course.
The centrifugal force is the main motor in this simple centrifugal pump design, where it can be used to develop a negative pressure inside the center of the pump. In order to have a continuous flow of water, the impeller needs an initial angular velocity called w suction, where after it has been achieved, the angular velocity can then be decreased slowly, but not lower then the minimum angular velocity (wmin). The greater the angular velocity being developed, a greater amount of flow will be produced. A loss of head will occur along the pipe?s wall, both in vertical and horizontal sides.
From the result of the measurement, it is found that an increase in angular velocity will cause an increase in the produced flow. Also, if the produced flow is constant, the increase in the length of the pipe arm (pipe radius) will cause a decrease in the angular velocity.

"This book represents the fourth part of a larger work dedicated to the structural synthesis of parallel robots. This book offers other topologies of parallel robotic manipulators with two and three degrees of freedom systematically generated by using the structural synthesis approach proposed in Part 1."

"It contains an extensive theoretical description of the method as well as numerous examples of application to a wide range of materials (composites, metals, welds, biomaterials etc.) and situations(static, vibration, high strain rate etc.). Finally, it contains a detailed training section with examples of progressive difficulty to lead the reader to program the VFM. This is accompanied with a set of commented Matlab programs as well as with a GUI Matlab based software for more general situations."

"Statics and dynamics of rigid bodies presents an interdisciplinary approach to mechanical engineering through a close evaluation of the statics and dynamics of rigid bodies, presenting a concise introduction to both. This volume bridges the gap of interdisciplinary published texts linking fields like mechatronics and robotics with multi-body dynamics in order to provide readers with a clear path to understanding numerous sub-fields of mechanical engineering. Three-dimensional kinematics, rigid bodies in planar spaces and numerous vector and matrix operations are presented in order to provide a comprehensive understanding of mechanics through dynamics and rigid bodies."

"This book can be utilized for a variety of courses, including junior and senior-level vibration and linear mechanical analysis courses. The author connects, by means of a rigorous, yet intuitive approach, the theory of vibration with the more general theory of systems. The book features : aseven-step modeling technique that helps structure the rather unstructured process of mechanical-system modeling, a system-theoretic approach to deriving the time response of the linear mathematical models of mechanical systems, the modal analysis and the time response of two-degree-of-freedom systems. The first step on the long way to the more elaborate study of multi-degree-of-freedom systems, using the Mohr circle, simple, yet powerful simulation algorithms that exploit the linearity of the system for both single- and multi-degree-of-freedom systems, examples and exercises that rely on modern computational toolboxes for both numerical and symbolic computations as well as a Solutions Manual for instructors, with complete solutions of a sample of end-of-chapter exercises. Chapters 3 and 7, on simulation, include in each “Exercises” section a set of miniprojects that require code-writing to implement the algorithms developed in these chapters."
