"ABSTRACT
The aim of this research is to analyse the legal framework in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines, and its conformity to international instnunents regarding general elections, particularly on settlement of election offences for the conduct of democratic general elections. To achieve the purpose of this study, there will be aneed to examine (i) The extent the legal framework in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines incorporated international standards on election to protect election process fiom election offences; (ii) The extent the election offences are settled through the process and through the process of election petition.
It is highly important to conduct a more comprehensive research, either 'globally or regionally, to identify some problems related to settlementof election offences, either through the criminal process or through the election petition process. By means of this research, the differences and similarities ofthe legal framework as well as their strengths and weaknesses can be fotmd and some recommendations could be proposed to strengthen the system of election offence settlement.
This study is a comparative study. The methodology applied in this thesis is related to the objective, namely, to analyse the legal framework of Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines in solving election offences problems. This thesis analyses the extent to which the legal framework incorporates several intemational standards concerning elections.
The primary data of this thesis are documents in the form of laws, legislation and court decisions. It is supported by other literature, such as reports, academic journals, magazines, newspapers, and books. Additionally, interviews were also conducted with several resource persons having expertise in this field. The data are analysed using a qualitative approach.
The study results demonstrate that in order to prevent unwanted political influence on the election process , every country needs a legal iamework that protect general elections from all kinds of election offences, provide the right of all aggrieved parties to challenge the elections result before an independent and competent judicial body and set out the scope of available review, establish provisions conceming the effect of irregularities on the outcome of elections and provide effective and fair redress mechanism.
The existing legal framework of the respective countries generally cover elements of international human right standars of election, however different on some issues, especially the coverage of election offences, the model of regulation, the effect of cellection offences on the election result, the ground of ellection petitions and the settlement procedure (in criminal process and in election petition). Some aspects of the legal framework of settlement of election offences, particulary in Indonesia, need to be improved to ensure more democratic general elections. It is extremely important for democratic country to protec its political process and protec political rights of every citizen and partics from election offerences. Without an effective and fair system, it will be very difficult tho achieve the protections as provided in International standads. The international standards provide a minimum benchmark to which all countries should aspire."

Trademark infringement dispute in world trade cannot be separated from bad faith of entrepreneurs to win the competition which is sometimes done dishonestly/ unfair. One of such action is the act of passing off. Indonesia, which adopts a first to file system (registration is a must to gain protection of trademarks) as a trademark protection system, basically does not recognize the concept of passing off, because passing off is a common law tort which can be used to enforce unregistered trademark rights. Technological developments lead to the developing of trademarks with the emergence of non-traditional trademarks such as sound trademarks, holograms trademarks, three-dimensional trademarks, scent trademarks, etc. Although haven?t been regulated by Law Number 15 Year 2001 concerning Marks, those trademarks have been accommodated in Singapore Treaty on the Law of Trademarks.
This thesis aims to analyze the interesting case of the Singapore Treaty in associated with a form of legal protection of the trademarks and the concept of a trademark registration in Indonesia as well as to analyze the needs of Indonesia to ratify Singapore Treaty for development of the concept regarding trademarks protection in Indonesia. This research characters are exploratory and descriptive. Qualitative approach is used by researcher with normative legal research methods and conceptual approach.
The results shows that the ratification of the Singapore Treaty is relevant to be implemented in order to develop Indonesia trademarks law. The results of the ratification should be able to be accommodated in the Draft Law on Marks.

"In their evolution of political structures and life, countries often undergo significant conjunctures, major events that reorder political structures and norms. The examination of such conjunctures offers an important methodological framework to uncover and document changes that have significantly altered the political template of a country. This collection of case studies examines the critical conjunctures that have affected the countries of Southeast Asia in recent decades. Each chapter traces the antecedent conditions prior to the event, describes the changes brought about by the conjuncture, and details the lasting legacy."

"The use of post-purchase online consumer review in hotel attributes study was still scarce in
the literature. Arguably, post purchase online review data would gain more accurate attributes that
consumers actually consider in their purchase decision. This study aims to extract attributes from two
samples of five-star hotel reviews (Jakarta and Singapore) with text mining methodology. In addition,
this study also aims to describe positioning of five-star hotels in Jakarta and Singapore based on
the extracted attributes using Correspondence Analysis. This study finds that reviewers of five star
hotels in both cities mentioned similar attributes such as service, staff, club, location, pool and food.
Attributes derived from text mining seem to be viable input to build fairly accurate positioning map
of hotels. This study has demonstrated the viability of online review as a source of data for hotel
attribute and positioning studies."

"ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT
The focus of this thesis is about stipulation of control of limited liability company in Indonesian law. There is no clear provision about control in Indonesia, proven by the diversity of provisions regarding to control in various legal norms, that does not align with each other. On the other hand, in some countries with high corporate governance score, such as Netherlands, Australia and Sinapore, control of limited liability company is stipulated comprehensively. Based on these conditions, the author formulated and discussed the following problems: 1. How is the regulation of control of limited liability company in Indonesia, Netherlands, Australia and Singapore? 2. How is the comparison of implementation of control of limited liability company in Indonesia, Netherlands, Australia and Singapore? Eventually, stipulation of control of limited liability company is not consistent, and the Netherlands, Australia and Singapore already have clear provisions regarding to company control. This thesis recommend the authority to harmonize the provisions of control of limited liability company in Indonesia. This research uses the normative juridical approach with a descriptive typology."

"ABSTRAK
The roles, approaches and methods of archiving in both places are different as I elaborate in this essay. However, one fundamental cause is the same, that is the shared belief that is the importance of art archiving and how it is needed in showing the relations between art practice and the challenges of society in this region. My work straddles between two modes of approach and my belief is that both can go together and complement each other, to find the place for the art archives and provideresources for spaces of debates in building art history and its relevance in the development of contemporary society, Southeast Asia and the world."
