Tesis ini membahas tentang rancangan alat deret hitung untuk anak-anak autis sebagai alat permainan edukatif dengan menggunakan metode QFD dan Usability Testing. Penelitian ini melibatkan anak-anak autis dari SLB Pelita Hati dan SLB Cipta Anugerah di Jakarta Timur. Hasil dari rancangan alat deret hitung ini berupa prototipe berteknologi tinggi yang sesuai dengan sifat dan kebutuhan anak-anak autis. Metode Usability Testing dilakukan dengan memberikan kuesioner kepada para guru sambil dipersilakan menggunakan prototipe alat deret hitung ini. Didapatkan hasil bahwa alat deret hitung untuk anak-anak autis haruslah tidak memiliki sudut-sudut tajam, dan alat permainan edukatif yang tidak anti air tidak akan mempengaruhi proses belajar mengajar di kelas.

ABSTRACT
This thesis discusses about designing an arithmetic progression tool for the autistic children as an educational playing tool by using QFD and Usability Testing methods. This research is involving autistic children from SLB Pelita Hati and SLB Cipta Anugerah which are located in the East Jakarta. The final output of this arithmetic progression tool design is a prototipe which contains of high technology that is suitable with the characteristics and the needs of the autistic children. The Usability Testing method is done by giving questionnaires to the teachers and let them use the prototipe of this arithmetic progression tool. The results of this research are that the arithmetic progression tool should not has any sharp corners, and that if the arithmetic progression tool is not waterproof, it would not influence any study activities in the class.
