"Tesis ini berusaha untuk memahami motivasi dan kepentingan dibalik tindakan Hizbullah yang memutuskan untuk terlibat dalam konflik Suriah. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik process tracing. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui kajian kepustakaan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan Hizbullah dalam konflik Suriah, merupakan upaya untuk mempertahankan keamanan wilayah Selatan Libanon, melindungi masyarakat Syi'ah Libanon dan menjaga tempat suci masyarakat Syi'ah, dan mempertahankan rezim Bashar Al-Assad.

The purpose of this research is to understand Hezbollah's interest and motivation for intervening in the Syrian conflict. The research can be categorized as a qualitative research done through process of a tracing technique. The data were collected by literature study. The result of this research shows that Hezbollah's interest and motivation for intervening in the Syrian conflict are to defend territory of South Lebanon, to protect Shiite Society in Lebanon, as well as Shiite shrines, also to protect Bashar Al-Assad's regime."

The collection also analyses the evolution and scope of the law of acquisition of territory from colonial times until today, the emergence of new areas for the territorial expansion of states and border delimitation rules.
