"Museum dikenal sebagai destinasi wisata yang membosankan dikalangan masyarakat. Tetapi Museum Sejarah Jakarta berhasil mendobrak stigma tersebut. Museum Sejarah Jakarta berhasil menjadi salah satu kawasan destinasi unggulan di DKI Jakarta. Hal ini terbukti dari data jumlah kunjungan Daya Tarik Wisata DKI Jakarta tahun 2013-2015 dimana museum selalu menempati posisi lima besar. Artikel ini berisi analisis mengenai penerapan salah satu platform integrated marketing communication, yaitu event and experience yang menjadi strategi utama museum untuk meningkatkan jumlah kunjungan. Strategi ini terbukti mampu secara efektif meningkatkan jumlah pengunjung selain karena marketing mix yang kuat yang telah dimiliki oleh Museum Sejarah Jakarta.

Museum has been known as a boring destination in public's perception, but Jakarta History Museum managed to break the stigma. Jakarta History Museum has become one of the leading destinations in the region of Jakarta. This evident data is derived from the number of visitors in Jakarta Travel Attractions periods of 2013-2015 in which the Museum has always placed great five.

This article contains an analysis of the application of one of integrated marketing communication platforms, namely "the event and experience", the museum's main strategy to increase the number of the visitors. This strategy is proved to be able to effectively increase the number of visitors in addition to a strong marketing mix that has been owned by the Jakarta History Museum."

"Tesis ini memuat model manajemen kuratorial berdasarkan paradigma museologi baru dengan studi kasus di Museum Nasional. Tesis ini memaparkan aspek-aspek dalam manajemen kuratorial meliputi definisi dan fungsi museum, tugas museum, fungsi sosial, partisipasi masyarakat, definisi koleksi, definisi kurator, pengkajian, pengadaan koleksi, inventarisasi, peminjaman koleksi, penghapusan koleksi, serta pembinaan dan pengawasan.Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kesesuaian dan ketidaksesuaian di antara aspek-aspek tersebut dalam konsep museologi baru, regulasi, dan praktik kuratorial. Berdasarkan hasil kajian tersebut kemudian disusun strategi berupa model manajemen kuratorial dengan menggunakan analisis TOWS dan pengujiannya menggunakan analisis SWOT. Selain itu untuk mendapatkan gambaran praktik kuratorial di museum yang tidak sebesar Museum Nasional, maka dilakukan pengamatan di Museum Pendidikan dan Mainan Kolong Tangga.

This thesis contains a model of curatorial management based on new museology paradigm with case study at National Museum. This thesis explains aspects of curatorial management, include museum definition and function, museum task, social function, civil society participation, collection definition, curator definition, research, collection acquisition, inventory, collection loan, collection deaccession, and development and supervision.Research result shows that there are compabilities and incompatibilities amongst the aspects of the concept of new museology, regulation, and curatorial practice. Based on the result of the research can be arranged a model of curatorial management use TOWS analysis and be examined use SWOT analysis. Futhermore, to get description about curatorial practice in museum that is not as complex as National Museum, accordingly observation were made at Education and Toys Museum "Kolong Tangga"."

"Penelitian ini mengkaji dinamika Museum Bataviaasch Genootschap dan peran masyarakat bumiputera dalam operasional museum. Penelitian ini mencoba menelusuri perkembangan dan pencapaian museum Bataviaasch Genootschap sehingga menjadi pelopor lembaga ilmu pengetahuan untuk khalayak seperti perpustakaan dan museum di Batavia. Rentang waktu penelitian mencakup periode tahun 1868 hingga 1942, atau sejak gedung baru museum di Koningsplein West selesai dibangun hingga masa pendudukan Jepang di Hindia Belanda. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode sejarah dengan lima tahapan yaitu pemilihan topik, pengumpulan sumber, verifikasi, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Sumber primer yang digunakan adalah Inventaris Arsip Koninklijk Bataviaasch Genootschap dari koleksi Arsip Nasional Republik Indonesia (ANRI). Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa Museum Bataviaasch Genootschap memiliki peran dalam perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan di Hindia Belanda khususnya untuk perkembangan ilmu arkeologi, etnografi, prasejarah, dan perawatan candi. Selain itu, museum Bataviaasch Genootschap juga memiliki andil dalam memajukan permuseuman di Hindia Belanda salah satunya dengan melahirkan tokoh nasional sebagai perintis museum-museum baru di Indonesia.

This research examines the dynamics of the Bataviaasch Genootschap Museum and the role of the Bumiputera in its operations. The study aims to trace the development and achievements of the Bataviaasch Genootschap Museum, establishing it as a pioneer institution of knowledge for the public, such as libraries and museums, in Batavia. The research period covers the years 1868 to 1942, or from the completion of the new museum building at Koningsplein West until the Japanese occupation in the Dutch East Indies. The research employs a historical method with five stages: topic selection, source collection, verification, interpretation, and historiography. Primary sources used include the Inventory of the Koninklijk Bataviaasch Genootschap Archives from the collection of the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI). The research findings demonstrate that the Bataviaasch Genootschap Museum played a significant role in the development of scientific knowledge in the Dutch East Indies, particularly in the fields of archaeology, ethnography, prehistory, and temple preservation. Additionally, the Bataviaasch Genootschap Museum contributed to the advancement of museums in the Dutch East Indies, producing national figures who pioneered the establishment of new museums in Indonesia."

"Pandemi dan pemberlakuan PSBB berdampak signifikan terhadap penurunan jumlah kunjungan dan performa layanan museum. Salah satu jalan keluar atau alternatif yang muncul dan sempat naik daun saat pandemi adalah tur virtual. Tur virtual hadir sebagai strategi baru bagi museum untuk terus beroperasi di masa pandemi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat eksistensi tur virtual museum yang diadaptasi oleh museum di Jakarta dalam menjaga keberlangsungan pariwisata. Metode yang digunakan oleh penulis dalam penelitian ini adalah studi pustaka. Penulis melakukan kunjungan tur virtual pada museum-museum di DKI Jakarta dengan rentang waktu November 2021 hingga Mei 2022. Kajian mengenai tur virtual museum di Indonesia didominasi dengan pembahasan mengenai proses produksi dalam lingkup teknis perancangan dan pembuatan tur virtual museum, belum membahas sejauh mana potensi tur virtual dalam menjaga keberlangsungan pariwisata. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa tur virtual museum hadir sebagai alternatif pengganti layanan kunjungan fisik. Selain itu, eksistensi tur virtual museum juga secara tidak langsung menjadi strategi marketing atau media promosi bagi museum-museum. Hadirnya dua fungsi tersebut krusial dalam menjaga keberlangsungan pariwisata museum.

The pandemic and the implementation of PSBB had a significant impact on the sudden decrease in the number of visits and museum’s performance. One of the solutions or alternatives that emerged and had become popular during the pandemic was virtual tours. Virtual tours came up as a new strategy for museums to be able to continue operating during the pandemic. The purpose of this research is to see the existence of virtual museum tours adapted by museums in Jakarta in maintaining the sustainability of tourism. The method used by the author in this research is literature study. The author makes virtual tour visits to museums in DKI Jakarta with a time span of November 2021 to May 2022. The study of virtual museum tours in Indonesia mainly discusses about production process within the scope of designing and making virtual museum tours, but not to the extent of the potential of virtual tours in maintaining tourism sustainability. This study found that virtual museum tours exist as an alternative to physical visiting tours. In addition, the existence of virtual museum tours also indirectly becomes a marketing strategy or media promotion for museums. These two functions are crucial in maintaining the sustainability of museum tourism."

"Transportasi umum darat di Jakarta merupakan salah satu sarana penting dalam aktivitas sehari-hari. Dalam masa ke masa, terjadi perkembangan teknologi dan juga perubahan jenis transportasi yang digunakan. Beberapa jenis transportasi pun masih dikembangkan dan dibangun untuk masa depan sehingga dapat memudahkan masyarakat terutama pada area sekitar kawasan TOD (Transit Oriented Development). Namun masih banyak masyarakat Jakarta yang belum mengenal dan mengetahui manfaat dari menggunakan transportasi umum. Pada laporan akhir ini akan dipaparkan desain arsitektur museum transportasi umum darat Jakarta dalam kontribusinya terhadap lingkungan perkotaan yang lebih ramah pejalan kaki.

Public Transportation has major impact in Jakarta economic cycle. Rapid technology innovation in transporation has drive how people mobilize around the city or within. In the scope of technology advancement, there are some options of prototype that has been developed especially around TOD (Transit Oriented Development) area. "ABSTRAKskripsi ini merupakan pengkajian ulang mengenai participatory display pada Museum Bank Indonesia. Tujuan dari pengkajian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui teknik apa saja yang sudah diterapkan beserta pengaruhnya, sehingga menjadi salah satu bahan pertimbangan faktor perkembangan museum khususnya diIndonesia. Hasil dari analisa menunjukan bahwa jenis display participatory yang menggunakan teknik hands-on display dapat memicu tingkat keaktifan pengunjung dari faktor-faktor tertentu. Selain berpengaruh kepada pengunjung, teknik hands-on display baik itu secara mekanisme maupun dengan menggunakan bantuan teknologi, berpengaruh juga pada objek museum. Namun, pada Museum BI terdapat penerapan participatory display belum dapat mencangkup semua kalangan pengunjung.

ABSTRAKThis thesis is a review of the participatory display at the Museum of Bank Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to determine what techniques are already implemented and its impact, thus becoming one of the consideration factors museum development, especially in Indonesia. Results of the analysis showed that the participatory display type using hands-on display technique, can trigger visitors' level of liveliness from certain factors. Besides the influentials that happened on visitors, hands-on display technique either mechanically or by using the technology, can effect also on museum objects. However, some application of the participatory display technique in the Museum Bank of Indonesia are not able to cover all the visitors yet."

"Museum masa kini harus mampu menarik perhatian masyarakat untuk datang berkunjung, sayangnya museum di Indonesia diidentikan dengan kesan tua dan tidak menarik. Maka untuk mengatasinya diperlukan desain display yang diharapkan dapat mengundang pengunjung. Namun bagaimana jika bangunan yang digunakan sebagai museum bukanlah bangunan yang didesain untuk museum, melainkan bangunan lama cagar budaya. Memasukan fungsi museum seni sebagai identitas baru sebuah bangunan lama merupakan proses yang tidak mudah. Perlu adanya kesesuaian antara fungsi baru museum dan elemen bangunan lama yang dijaga. Melalui kajian teori dan studi kasus terhadap Museum Seni Rupa dan Keramik ditemukan bahwa display dalam ruang pamer dapat menghubungkan kedua kebutuhan lama dan baru, sehingga aspek dalam merancang alat bantu display tidak lagi terbatas pada segi informatif dan persepsi manusia, tetapi keadaan objek yang dipamerkan dan bangunannya.

Museum nowadays, must be able to attract visitors to come to visit. Sadly, museums in Indonesia are identified with old and unattractive impressions. Hence, to overcome it, it is necessary for displays are designed so they can draw in visitors. However, instead of using building that originally designed as a museum, what if it is an old building of cultural heritage re-functioned to become a museum. To incorporate art museum as the new identity of an old building is not an easy process. Adjustment between the new function and the elements of the preserved heritage building are needed. Through relevant theories and case studies on Museum Seni Rupa dan Keramik, the researcher found that the display in the exhibition space could act as a tool to connect both the needs of old and new. This makes designing exhibition displays are no longer limited in terms of informative and human perception aspects, but also the collection and the heritage building needs.
