"ABSTRAKBahasa Jepang merupakan salah satu bahasa yang paling diminati di dunia,ditandai dengan terus meningkatnya jumlah pelajar bahasa Jepang sertapermintaan di berbagai sektor yang membutuhkan kemampuan berbahasa Jepang.Untuk dapat menguasai suatu bahasa asing, diperlukan usaha-usaha belajar yangdidukung oleh motivasi. Skripsi ini berusaha mencari serta menjelaskankomponen-komponen yang membentuk serta faktor-faktor yang dapat memicumotivasi seseorang dalam mempelajari bahasa Jepang. Penelitian berupapenelitian kualitatif yang datanya diperoleh melalui studi kepustakaan serta hasilkuisioner. Analisis dari skripsi berfokus pada komponen-komponen pembentukmotivasi belajar bahasa Jepang mahasiswa asing yang mengikuti program bahasaJepang di Universitas Nanzan periode 2015 ? 2016.

ABSTRACTThe increasing number of the Japanese learners and high demand in many sectorsthat requires Japanese communication skill make Japanese one of the mostfavorable languages in the world. To be able to learn and master a foreignlanguage, one must put extra efforts along the learning process supported bymotivation.
