"In this work a market driven evaluation based on sales potential of information is developed. Simple technical means for aggregation of micro values to a billable amount are discussed. The requirements for electronic billing infrastructure are defined and a matching e-billing solutions for an evaluation scenario is presented, providing a technical infrastructure to evaluate and bill product-related information in a future internet of things, based on an extended EPCglobal Architecture. Further opportunities and threats are discussed to provide an overview of its future potential. As a result it will contribute to the sustainable success of the Internet of things itself. "

"The series of Interdisciplinary Conferences on Production, Logistics and Traffic (ICPLT) address the research community as well as practitioners in these fields with special attention to links and interfaces between the three disciplines. The fourth ICPLT in particular deals with technology from intralogistics to automated trucking driving as well as the societal aspects of commercial transport.
To contribute to a high-level and beneficial exchange between authorities in politics and municipalities with researchers and practitioners in production and logistics management the ICPLT has asked for contributions from the three disciplines to better understand innovative technologies, best practises and latest results. These contributions have been evaluated and selected based on a double-blind review process to become part of this book. It comprises 21 contributions examining trends and challenges for commercial transport as the essential link for production, logistics and society. Therefore, innovative technologies and strategies are presented and discussed to better understand the interdependencies, conflicts of interest and to develop feasible solutions. "

"This book gathers the proceedings of the I-ESA 18 Conference, which was organised by the Fraunhofer IPK, on behalf of the European Virtual Laboratory for Enterprise Interoperability (INTEROP-VLab) and the DFI, and was held in Berlin, Germany in March 2018. It presents contributions ranging from academic research and case studies, to industrial and administrative experiences with interoperability that show how, in a globalised market scenario-where the ability to cooperate with other organisations efficiently is essential in order to remain economically, socially and environmentally cost-effective-the most innovative digitised and networked enterprises ensure that their systems and applications can interoperate across heterogeneous collaborative networks of independent organisations. Furthermore, the content addresses smart services, and the business impact of enterprise interoperability on organisations. "

" This book describes Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and the significant factors which affect its adoption, such as governance, strategy, complexity, Return on Investment (ROI), business and IT alignment, culture and communication, costs, and security. The study on which this book is based, involved a quantitative analysis to investigate the influential factors for adopting SOA, paving the way to further research in the field.
Describes the various factors, such as security, influencing Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) adoption in many organizations
Investigates the relation between SOA adoption factors and the organizations performance
Developes a new SOA adoption framework to measure the effect on organizational performance"

"This book addresses the specialized topic of input–output models for sustainable industrial systems. While these models are well-established tools for economic analysis, their underlying mathematical structure is also applicable to the analysis and optimization of a wide range of systems that are characterized by linear interdependencies among their components. This means that input–output models can be used for diverse networks, such as processes within industrial plants, industrial plants in a supply chain, or departmental units within an organization. The models can also be readily extended to interactions between man-made systems and the environment, e.g. flows of natural resources and/or pollutants. Furthermore, model variants with excess degrees of freedom can be formulated to allow optimization and decision-making to be integrated within the framework. This book examines how input–output models can be applied to sustainable industrial systems. Each major variant is discussed separately in a dedicated chapter, and representative case studies and supporting LINGO code are also included."

"Hall and Klitgaard explore the relation between energy and the wealth explosion of the 20th century, the failure of markets to recognize or efficiently allocate diminishing resources, the economic consequences of peak oil, the EROI for finding and exploiting new oil fields, and whether alternative energy technologies such as wind and solar power meet the minimum EROI requirements needed to run our society as we know it.

ABSTRACT
Replacement of the induction motors has purpose to increase efficiency and effectiviness of operational induction motors. There are two possibility of replacement induction motors. First, replacement of induction motors with power output (HP) that more appropriate and second, replacement induction motor with high efficiency induction motors but, same power output with existing induction motors. Efficiency assessment of replacement induction motors were applied using life cycle cost method for knows the investments value of the most efficient and profitable. On the other side, life cycle cost method also will increase effectiviness of operational induction motors through maintenance and inspection plans. From calculations with life cycle cost method, the replacement with power output (HP) that more appropriate has investation value more efficient and profitable (IDR 14.558.547.004,24) than replacement with high efficiency motors and same power output (HP) with existing motor (IDR 15.354.595.839,77).
