"Hubungan pertumbuhan kraniofacial, tinggi badan, dan tahapan maturasi tulang servikal. Periode tumbuh kembang bermanfaat untuk mengobati pasien yang memerlukan perawatan orthodontik. Dalam periode pertumbuhan kraniofasial dapat dimodifikasi. Indikator yang dapat digunakan untuk menilai tumbuh kembang antara lain adalah tinggi tubuh dan tahap perkembangan vertebra servikalis (CVMS). Beberapa studi sebelumnya telah menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan kraniofasial mirip dengan pertumbuhan badan dan ada perbedaan antara anak laki-laki danperempuan. Tujuan: Mengidentifikasi korelasi antara pertumbuhan kraniofasial, tinggi tubuh dan CVMS pada anak laki-laki dan perempuan dalam kelompok Deutero-Malay berusia 10-17 tahun. Metode: Studi potong lintang dilakukan dengan sampel 158 subjek (72 lelaki dan 86 perempuan). Pertumbuhan kraniofasial dinilai dalam lima dimensi (N-Me, S-Go, S-NA, PNS-A, Go-Pog), CVMS dijelaskan oleh metode Baccetti, selanjutnya dilakukan pengukuran tinggi tubuh. Hasil: Koefisien korelasi Pearson dan Spearman menunjukkan tinggi memiliki hubungan yang lebih kuat dengan CVMS daripada dengan pertumbuhan kraniofasial pada kelompok anak laki-laki dan perempuan (r=0,838; p<0,05) (r=0,647; p<0,05). Koefisien korelasi kraniofasial tinggi (Na-Me, S-Go) dan panjang mandibula (Go-Pog) memiliki hubungan yang kuat dengan CVMS (r=0,458; r=0,465; r=0,545; p<0,05) dibandingkan dengan panjang kraniofasial (S-N, PNS-A) pada kelompok anak laki-laki dan perempuan (r=0,283; r=0,237; p<0,05). T-test mengungkapkan perbedaan ketinggian tubuh (p<0,005) dan pertumbuhan kraniofasial antara laki-laki dan perempuan pada kelompok usia 13-15 tahun (p<0,05). Tes Mann-Whitney mengungkapkan perbedaan CVMS antara anak laki-laki dan perempuan pada kelompok usia 10-17 tahun (p<0,05). Simpulan: Tinggi tubuh, tinggi kraniofasial, dan panjang mandibula berhubungan dengan CVMS.

Growth and development period has benefit for treating patient who need orthodontic treatment. In this period craniofacial development can be modified. Indicators that can be used assess the growth and development among others are through body height and cervical vertebrae maturity stages (CVMS). Several previous studies have indicated that craniofacial growth is similar to body growth and there is gender difference between boys and girls. Objectives: Identifying correlation between craniofacial growth, body height and CVMS between gender in Deutero-Malay group aged 10-17 years old. Methods: A cross sectional study was conducted with samples of 158 subjects (72 males and 86 females). Craniofacial growth assessed in five dimensions (N-Me, S-Go, S-NA, PNS-A, Go-Pog), CVMS as described by Baccetti's method, body height was measured. Results: Pearson and Spearman's correlation coefficient revealed body height has stronger relationship with CVMS than craniofacial growth (r=0.838; p<0.05) (r= 0.647; p<0.05). Correlation coefficient craniofacial height (Na-Me, S-Go) and mandibula length (Go-Pog) have stronger relationship with CVMS (r=0.458; r=0.465; r=0.545; respectively p<0.05) than the length of craniofacial (S-N, PNS-A) in boys and girls group (r=0.283; r=0.237; p<0.05). T-test revealed difference in body height (p<0.05) and craniofacial growth between boys and girls in group age 13-15 years old (p<0.05). Mann-Whitney test revealed differences in CVMS between males and females in age 10-17 years old (p<0.05). Conclusions: Body height, craniofacial height and mandibular length were correlated with CVMS."

"Aktifitas aspartat amino transferase setelah berkumur dengan teh hijau dan klorheksidin glukonat. Perawatan ortodontik dapat meningkatkan akumulasi plak gigi. Plak dapat menyebabkan peradangan pada gingiva. peradangan dapat dinilai dari kadar aspartat aminotransferase (AST) dalam cairan krevicular gingiva (CKG). bat kumur bermanfaat untuk mengurangi akumulasi plak gigi selama perawatan ortodontik. Klorheksidin glukonat sering digunakan sebagai obat kumur. Teh hijau adalah salah satu bahan alam yang dapat digunakan untuk obat kumur yang dianggap dapat mengurangi akumulasi plak. Tujuan: Membandingkan efek antara teh hijau dan klorheksidin glukonat aktivitas AST di GCF pada pasien yang menjalani perawatan ortodontik dengan molar band. Metode: Studi eksperimental dilakukan terhadap 40 subjek dewasa. Subjek dibagi secara acak menjadi dua kelompok: teh hijau (n=20) dan klorheksidin glukonat (n=20). Aktivitas AST diukur sebelum pemasangan band , 7 dan 30 hari setelah pemasangan band. Uji ANOVA digunakan untuk menganalisis data. Hasil: Terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kadar AST sebelum, 7 dan 30 hari setelah pemasangan band pada kelompok teh hijau (p<0,05). Tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara kadar AST sebelum pemasangan band, 7 dan 30 hari setelah pemasangan band pada kelompok klorheksidin glukonat (p<0,049). Tidak ada perbedaan antara masing-masing kelompok (p<0,05). Simpulan: Obat kumur teh hijau memiliki efektivitas yang sama dengan klorheksidin glukonat dalam mengurangi tingkat AST pada pasien ortodontik.

Patients undergoing fixed orthodontic treatment are susceptible to dental plaque accumulation. Plaque can cause inflammation in gingiva. It could be assessed by aspartat aminotransferase (AST) in gingival crevicular fluid (GCF). Mouth rinse could be useful to reduce dental plaque accumulation during orthodontic treatment. Chlorhexidine gluconate is often used as mouth rinse in dental practice. n the other hand, green tea is one of natural ingredient that can be used for mouth rinse which is assumed could reduce plaque accumulation. Objectives: To compare the effect between green tea and chlorhexidine gluconate on AST activity in GCF in patient undergoing orthodontic treatment with molar band. Methods: An experimental study was conducted included forty adult subjects. They were randomized into two groups: green tea (n=20) and chlorhexidine gluconate (n=20). AST activity was measured before band insertion, 7 and 30 days after band insertion. One way and two-ways ANOVA were used to analyze the data. Results: The results showed significant difference of AST levels between before, 7 and 30 days after band insertion in the green tea groups (p<0.05). In contrast, there was no significant differences of AST levels between before band insertion, 7 and 30 days after band insertion in the chlorhexidine gluconate groups (p=0.049). There were no difference between each groups with two way ANOVA (p<0.05). Conclusions: Gargle effect of green tea was as effective as chlorhexidine gluconate in reducing AST levels related to banded first molars in adolescents undergoing orthodontic treatment."

Majority, the scientist and employer has spent many time in the building because of that in propagation need consideration to be concerned in function and the user. Increasing in main function, to support the function and has reserve function with appoarch of ecology, function, form, time, and economic. By the potential that it had, therefore propagation that will act in Puslit Biotechnology LIPI is in research subject and science recreation. Science with pot in form of recreation is one of alternative to introduce that science to the young generation. Puslit biotechnology which placed in front of the area of LIPI complex designed interesting in order that to invite people to study or just for enjoy it. Not only for the recreation, Puslit biotechnology is also useful as place for research and study for student (from play group to collage)."

"Penelitian dilakukan pada ruang semi bebas gema (semi-anechoic room) menggunakan metode yang mengacu kepada ISO 3745. Desain yang digunakan adalah hemisfer dengan sumber kebisingan yang dianalogikan dengan mesin dalam suatu industri. Nilai penurunan tingkat daya bunyi diperoleh dengan membandingkan tingkat daya bunyi sebelum dan sesudah dikendalikan. Material uji pengendali kebisingan yang digunakan terdiri dari lapisan plywood, busa, sabut dan tray (boks telur). Pengujian keefektifan bahan-bahan tersebut dilakukan dengan pengukuran sound transmission loss (STL). Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat daya bunyi (Lw) pada sumber suara menghasilkan Lw yang besar pada frekuensi 8000 Hz yaitu 99,6 dB. Pengukuran Lw sumber bunyi yang ditutup kotak plywood menghasilkan Lw total sebesar 78,66 dB dengan pengurangan Lw sebesar 21,02%. Pengukuran sumber bunyi dengan penggabungan
bahan plywood dan busa menghasilkan Lw total sebesar 47,79 dB dengan pengurangan Lw sebesar 52,02%. Pengukuran Lw dengan penggabungan plywood, busa dan tray menghasilkan Lw total sebesar 33,02 dB terjadi pengurangan Lw sebesar 66,84%. Pengukuran Lw total setelah ditutupi dengan penggabungan bahan plywood, busa,
tray dan sabut menghasilkan Lw total sebesar 31,94 dB dengan pengurangan Lw sebesar 67,93%.

Abstract
Research was conducted in a semi-anechoic room using a method referring to the ISO 3745. The design used is the Hemisphere in which the source of noise is analogous to engines in an industry. The value reduction in the rate of sound power is obtained by comparing the sound power level before and after control is given. The noise control test materials used consist of layers of plywood, foam, fiber and tray (egg box). The effectiveness of these materials is tested by measuring the sound transmission loss (STL). Test results reveal that the sound power level (Lw) of the source of noise produces a high Lw which is 99.6 dB. at a frequency of 8000 Hz. The measurement of Lw on the source of noise which is covered by plywood produces a total of 78.66 dB Lw with an Lw reduction of 21.02%. The measurement on the
sound source covered by plywood and foam materials produces a total of 47.79 dB Lw with an Lw reduction of 52.02%. The measurement of Lw by combining plywood, foam, and tray produces a total of 33.02 dB Lw with an Lw reduction of 66.84%. The measurement of the total Lw after being covered by plywood, foam, fiber, and tray is a total
of 31.94 Lw dB with an Lw reduction of 67.93%."

"Crude oil degradation has been carried out using biopile reactor in TPH concentration of 5%, 10% and 15%. The thermophilic microorganism used from isolation result and identification are Aeromonas salmonicida, Bacillus pantothenticus, and Stenotrophomonas maltophilia. Biodegrade of biopile reactor done by various concentration Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon (TPH), Total Plate Count (TPC), and Volatile Suspended Solid (VSS) per day during 30 day.
Biodegrade kinetic parameter calculated are m, mm, Y, Yt, Yobs, Kd, Ks from TPH concentration decision, TPC and VSS in every microorganism with t (observation time) that is 0 hour to 168 hour. Crude oil separation efficiency in a biople reactor shows that the largest separation occurs on a starting TPH concentrate of 15% which was 61.8% later on followed on a starting TPH concentrate of 10% and 5% which was as much as 61% and 48.4%. "
