"ABSTRAKPermasalahan yang dibahas dalam skripsi ini ialah konflik antara pengobatan biomedis dan CAM, yang mana keduanya memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda satu sama lain. Pengobatan biomedis bersandar pada model biomedis dengan pendekatan EBM Evidence Based Medicine , sedangkan CAM bersandar pada model humanistik dengan pendekatan PCM Patient Based Medicine . Perbedaan tersebut dibahas menggunakan teori paradigma Thomas Kuhn. Pertentangan pengobatan biomedis dan CAM memperlihatkan bahwa pengobatan biomedis adalah pengobatan yang dominan terhadap CAM yang termarginalkan. Pertentangan tersebut dibahas menggunakan teori standpoint Sandra Harding. Akhirnya, solusi dimunculkan demi menjawab pertentangan tersebut yaitu dengan pengobatan terintegrasi.

ABSTRACTThe problem discussed in this thesis is the conflict between biomedical medicine and CAM, which both have different characteristics each other. Biomedical medicine is rely on biomedical model with EBM approach, whereas CAM rely on humanistic model with PCM approach. The differences will be discussed using paradigm theory by Thomas Kuhn. The conflict between biomedical medicine and CAM shows that biomedical medicine is dominant over CAM which marginalized. The conflict is discussed using standpoint theory by Sandra Harding. Finally, solution is emerged to answer the conflict by using integrated medicine. "
