"Manifesto mural dibuat oleh kaum Fasis sebagai pernyataan atas kesenian yang mereka bangun, yaitu seni fasis. Mural dipilih karena memiliki akar kuat dalam tradisi Romawi. Selain itu, mural dibuat di dalam ruang publik yang memungkinkan masyarakat untuk menerima pesan Fasisme lebih mudah. Dalam cara pandang estetika Marxis yang menggunakan seni sebagai alat perjuangan kelas, mural dalam Fasisme ini digunakan sebagai alat perjuangan kelompok Fasis. Mural dibuat sebagai alat perjuangan dan propaganda ideologi. Moralitas terhadap seni dijadikan sebagai bagian yang penting dalam membuat mural.

Beside, mural uses public sphere as its gallery, so that it makes possible for people to receive the message of Fascism easily. "Surat di era kolonial berperan sebagai sarana berkomunikasi dengan pemerintah pun antarwilayah. Sejalan dengan teori Robson (1988), penelitian filologis terhadap naskah dapat mengungkap informasi di dalam teksnya. Demikian pula dengan ditemukannya surat-surat dari kota Gresik ke Tegal dalam inventaris arsip di Pusat Arsip Nasional RI, berupa Surat Bepernyataan yang ditandatangani oleh Gubernur Jenderal Duymaer van Twist. Naskah surat ini berbahasa Melayu dengan aksara Jawi yang memuat perintah dan larangan untuk membuat perhimpunan bagi orang-orang China di Hindia-Belanda. Dengan filologi dan konsep tekstologi Baried (1985) penelitian ini akan menyelidiki teks untuk menjawab pertanyaan penelitian: 1) Bagaimana struktur surat tersebut memuat sebuah pernyataan seperti yang tertulis di judulnya? 2) Bagaimana bunyi perintah di dalamnya memuat larangan bagi orang-orang China? serta 3) Bagaimana cara gagasan-gagasan yang termuat dalam surat ini disampaikan? Hasil analisis mengungkapkan bahwa stuktur surat ini serupa dengan susunan surat Melayu menurut Mu’jizah (2004) dan isinya berupa pemberitahuan menegaskan judulnya, “Surat Bepernyataan”. Adapun larangan yang termuat ternyata merujuk pada perhimpunan ataupun perkumpulan orang-orang China yang sudah terbentuk pada masa itu, serta peringatan untuk tidak membahayakan pertahanan pemerintahan Hindia-Belanda. Sementara gagasan yang termuat di dalamnya tertulis secara implisit berupa larangan berhimpun, ancaman penangguhan izin tinggal, dan eksplisit berupa upaya menunjukkan kekuasaan Hinda-Belanda.

In the colonial era, letters played a crucial role as a means of communication between the government and different regions. In line with Robson's theory (1988), philological research on manuscripts can reveal valuable information within the texts. Similarly, the discovery of letters from Gresik to Tegal in the archives inventory at the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia, in the form of a Declaration Letter signed by Governor General Duymaer van Twist, provided valuable insight. This letter was written in Malay using Jawi script and contained instructions and prohibitions regarding the assembly of Chinese individuals in the Dutch East Indies. Using philology and Baried's textual concept (1985), this study aims to investigate the text to answer the following research questions: 1) How does the structure of the letter convey the statement as indicated in its title? 2) How does the tone of the instructions imply restrictions for the Chinese population? 3) How are the ideas conveyed in this letter effectively presented? The results of the analysis revealed that the structure of this letter resembled the format of Malay letters according to Mu’jizah (2004), with its content explicitly labeled as a "Declaration Letter." The prohibitions mentioned in the letter referred to gatherings or associations of Chinese people that existed at that time, along with warnings not to jeopardize the defense of the Dutch East Indies government. Implicitly, the ideas expressed in the letter included the prohibition of assembly, the threat of permit suspension, and explicitly, the demonstration of the authority of the Dutch East Indies government."
