"Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan status kesehatan gigi dan mulut serta kemampuan mastikasi self-assessed terhadap kualitas hidup lansia independen di beberapa wilayah DKI Jakarta. Metode: Desain studi cross-sectional dilakukan pada 177 subjek yang berusia 60 tahun atau lebih. Standar pemeriksaan klinis WHO, kemampuan mastikasi self-assessed, dan wawancara kuesioner GOHAI versi Bahasa Indonesia dilakukan pada seluruh subjek. Hasil: Dari 177 subjek, 89,3 subjek perempuan dan 10,7 subjek laki-laki dengan rata-rata usia 66,3 tahun. Rata-rata skor kuesioner GOHAI adalah 48,5. Uji korelasi Spearman digunakan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara status kesehatan gigi dan mulut serta kemampuan mastikasi self-assessed dengan kuesioner GOHAI. Kemampuan mastikasi self-assessed dan jumlah gigi asli memiliki hubungan yang bermakna dengan total skor GOHAI r=0,63; r=0,37. Jumlah gigi sehat memiliki hubungan yang bermakna dengan total skor GOHAI r=0,36. Gigi berlubang DT memiliki hubungan yang bermakna dengan penggunaan obat untuk pereda nyeri r=0,18. Gigi yang ditambal FT memiliki hubungan yang bermakna dengan kenyamanan saat makan r=0,18. Status gigi tiruan memiliki hubungan yang bermakna dengan total skor GOHAI r=0,36. Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara status kesehatan gigi dan mulut serta kemampuan mastikasi self-assessed terhadap kualitas hidup lansia di beberapa wilayah DKI Jakarta.
Objectives: To assess the relationship between oral health status and self assessed masticatory ability with quality of life in elderly living independently in some areas of Jakarta. Methods: the study design was cross sectional. The participants n 177 age 60 years old and above were clinically examined using WHO form, self assessed their masticatory ability, and intervewed using Indonesian version of GOHAI questionnaire. Results: Among 177 participants, 89,3 were female and 10,7 were male. The mean age of the participants was 66,3 years old. The mean score of GOHAI was 48,5. Spearman correlation test was used to assess the relationship between oral health status and self assessed masticatory ability with GOHAI questionnaire. Self assessed masticatory ability and the amount of natural teeth are significantly associated with the total score of GOHAI r 0,63 r 0,37. The amount of sound teeth was also significantly associated with the total score of GOHAI r 0,36. Decay teeth was significantly associated with the consumption of analgesic r 0,18. Restored teeth was significantly associated with the comfort while eating r 0,18. Denture status was associated with the total score of GOHAI r 0,36. Conclusion: Oral health status and self assessed masticatory ability are associated with quality of life in elderly in some areas of Jakarta."

"Tujuan: Didapatkannya informasi mengenai hubungan Sense of Coherence dengan perilaku dan persepsi subjektif kondisi gigi mulut pada populasi dewasa di DKI Jakarta.
Metode: Studi analitik korelatif cross-sectional pada 375 responden berusia 30-50 tahun yang berdomisili di DKI Jakarta. Data diperoleh menggunakan kuesioner self-administered yang terdiri atas kuesioner SOC-13 dan kuesioner gigi mulut dewasa yang diadaptasi dari kuesioner WHO.
Hasil: Terdapat hubungan bermakna antara SOC dengan kunjungan terakhir ke dokter gigi r = 0,128, kebiasaan merokok r = 0,108, dan frekuensi konsumsi beberapa kudapan manis, yaitu minuman bersoda r = 0,118 dan buah segar r = -0,198. Terdapat hubungan antara SOC dengan beberapa masalah akibat kondisi gigi mulut, yaitu mulut kering r = 0,132, malu akibat penampilan gigi r = 0,102, menghindari tersenyum r = 0,106, kurang toleran terhadap pasangan r = 0,223, dan mengurangi aktivitas sosial r = 0,2.
Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara Sense of Coherence dengan perilaku kesehatan gigi dan mulut, yaitu kunjungan ke dokter gigi, kebiasaan merokok, dan frekuensi konsumsi kudapan manis yaitu minuman bersoda dan buah segar. Sense of Coherence juga berhubungan dengan beberapa masalah akibat kondisi gigi dan mulut, yaitu mulut kering, malu akibat penampilan gigi, menghindari tersenyum, kurang toleran terhadap pasangan, dan mengurangi aktivitas sosial.

Objective: To obtain information about the relationship between Sense of Coherence with oral health related behavior and subjective perception in adult population living in DKI Jakarta.
Method: A cross sectional analytic correlative study was conducted in DKI Jakarta, with 375 respondents aging 30 50 years old. Data were collected through self administered questionnaires consisted of SOC 13 and WHO Oral Health Questionnaire for Adult.
Result: Association found between SOC with dental attendance r 0,128, smoking habit r 0,108, and frequency of some sweet snack intake, including soft drink r 0,118 and fresh fruit r 0,198. SOC is also associated with some problems related to oral health, including dry mouth r 0,132, embarrassed due to appearance of teeth r 0,102, avoided smiling r 0,106, less tolerant of spouse r 0,223, and reduced participation in social activities r 0,2.
Conclusion: SOC is associated with some oral health related behaviours, including dental attendance, smoking habit, and frequency of some sweet snack intake, including soft drink and fresh fruit. SOC is also associated with some problems related to oral health, including dry mouth, embarrassed due to appearance of teeth, avoided smilin, less tolerant of spouse, and reduced participation in social activities.

"Latar Belakang : Di era modern, media sosial telah dimanfaatkan oleh populasi dewasa muda untuk mengakses, memperoleh, dan berbagi informasi kesehatan. Literasi kesehatan oral, frekuensi penggunaan media sosial, dan efikasi diri merupakan faktor-faktor penting yang dapat mempengaruhi intensi perilaku. Tujuan : Untuk mengetahui hubungan antara literasi kesehatan oral, penggunaan media sosial, dan efikasi diri dengan intensi perilaku terkait media sosial. Metode : Studi cross-sectional menggunakan kuesioner online pada 361 mahasiswa Universitas Indonesia yang pernah terpapar dengan informasi kesehatan gigi dan mulut di media sosial. Hasil : hasil uji korelasi Spearman menunjukkan bahwa literasi kesehatan oral, penggunaan media sosial, dan efikasi diri memiliki korelasi yang bermakna secara statistik (p < 0,05) terhadap intensi perilaku terkait media sosial. Usia juga memiliki korelasi yang bermakna secara statistik dengan literasi kesehatan oral dan efikasi diri, serta pengalaman penggunaan media sosial memiliki korelasi bermakna dengan penggunaan media sosial dan efikasi diri. Namun kedua variabel usia dan pengalaman penggunaan media sosial tersebut bukan merupakan faktor yang memoderasi efek literasi kesehatan oral dan penggunaan media sosial terhadap efikasi diri. Kesimpulan : Literasi kesehatan oral, penggunaan media sosial, dan efikasi diri merupakan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi intensi perilaku. Responden dengan segmen usia yang lebih muda menunjukkan literasi kesehatan oral dan efikasi diri yang lebih baik serta pengalaman penggunaan media sosial yang positif juga menunjukkan frekuensi penggunaan media sosial dan tingkat efikasi diri yang lebih tinggi.

In the modern era, social media has been used by young adults to access, acquire, dan share health informations. Oral health literacy, social media use, and self-efficacy are essential factors that may influence health behavioral intention. Tujuan : To learn the association of oral health literacy, social media use, and self-efficacy with health behavioral intention regarding social media. Metode : A cross-sectional study using online questionnaire of 361 University of Indonesia students who were exposed with oral health information in social media. Hasil : Spearman correlation test shown that oral health literacy, social media use, and self-efficacy have statistically significant correlations (p < 0,05) with health behavioral intention regarding social media. Age also has statistically significant correlation with oral health literacy andn self-efficacy, as well as social media experience has statistically significant correlation with social media use and self-efficacy. However, both age and social media experience were not moderating factors for the effect of oral health literacy and social media use on self-efficacy. Kesimpulan : Oral health literacy, social media use, and self-efficacy were factors which infleunce health behavioral intention. Respondents in the younger age segment shows better oral health literacy and self-efficacy. Moreover, positive social media experience shows higher frequency of social media use and self-efficacy."
