"Bersatunya Jerman Barat dan Jerman Timur ditandai dengan meleburnya Deutsche Demokratische Republik (DDR) ke dalam Bundesrepublik Deutschland (BRD) pada tanggal 3 Oktober 1990. Terlihat secara jelas setelah penyatuan tersebut masih meninggalkan bekas-bekas identitas dalam setiap diri individu yang ada, tak terkecuali yaitu polisi (Polizei). Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi konflik identitas polisi kriminal Jerman Barat yang diwakili oleh Patrick Stein dan Jerman Timur yang diwakili oleh Markus Bach pasca reunifikasi Jerman dalam film Freies Land (2019) karya Christian Alvart. Penelitian ini akan menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan didukung oleh kerangka Teori Identitas Sosial dikembangkan oleh Tajfel dan Turner. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa walaupun batas politik Jerman telah dihapus, tetapi konflik identitas melalui bias, ketegangan, prasangka, dan warisan ideologi/budaya yang mengarah pada kepentingan kelompok yang diwakilinya (Jerman Barat dan Jerman Timur) menimbulkan tantangan yang sulit untuk merekonsiliasi identitas yang sama dalam Jerman yang bersatu.

The unification of West Germany and East Germany was marked by the merging of the Deutsche Demokratische Republik (DDR) into the Bundesrepublik Deutschland (BRD) on October 3, 1990. Clearly visible after this unification were the remnants of individual identities, including those of the police (Polizei). This research explores the identity conflict between the West German criminal police, represented by Patrick Stein, and the East German criminal police, represented by Markus Bach, following German reunification as depicted in Christian Alvart's film Freies Land (2019). This study employs a qualitative method supported by the framework of Social Identity Theory developed by Tajfel and Turner. The results of this research indicate that although the political boundaries of Germany have been removed, identity conflicts manifested through biases, tensions, prejudices, and ideological/cultural legacies reflecting the interests of the groups they represent (West Germany and East Germany) present significant challenges in reconciling a unified identity within a united Germany."

"Kepopuleran film genre komedi romantis di seluruh dunia mendorong kreativitas industri perfilman Korea Selatan untuk menghasilkan film bertemakan cinta yang memiliki kekhasan tersendiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan memaparkan bagaimana komponen cinta yang terkandung di dalam hubungan antara sembilan pasang tokoh utama film Happy New Year mempengaruhi jenis cinta yang terbentuk merepresentasikan tema kecil yang dipayungi tema besar yaitu ragam cinta manusia modern. Metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif digunakan untuk menganalisis unsur intrinsik yaitu tema yang dikaji menggunakan Teori Segitiga Cinta oleh Robert Sternberg. Teori ini memaparkan tiga komponen utama cinta yang terdiri atas keintiman (intimacy), hasrat (passion), dan keputusan atau komitmen (decision/commitment) dalam setiap hubungan yang berperan dalam membentuk delapan jenis cinta. Hasil analisis menunjukkan terbentuknya delapan jenis cinta dari hubungan sembilan pasang tokoh utama yaitu terdiri dari tanpa cinta (nonlove), rasa suka (liking), cinta gila (infatuated love), cinta kosong (empty love), cinta romantis (romantic love), cinta persahabatan (companionate love), cinta bodoh (fatuous love), dan cinta sempurna (consummate love). Hasil penelitian memaparkan kombinasi komponen cinta menghasilkan delapan jenis cinta representasi delapan tema kecil yang dipayungi satu tema besar yaitu ragam cinta manusia modern.

The popularity of romantic comedy genre films throughout the world has encouraged the creativity of the South Korean film industry to produce love-themed films that have their own characteristics. This research aims to explain how the components of love contained in the relationships between the nine pairs of main characters in the film Happy New Year influence the kinds of love that is formed, representing a small theme under the umbrella of the large theme which is the variety of modern human love. Qualitative descriptive research methods were used to analyze intrinsic elements, namely themes studied using the Triangular Theory of Love by Robert Sternberg. This theory explains the three main components of love consisting of intimacy, passion, and decision or commitment in every relationship which play a role in forming eight kinds of love. The results of the analysis show the formation of eight kinds of love from the relationships of nine pairs of main characters, namely nonlove, liking, infatuated love, empty love, romantic love, companionate love, fatuous love, and consummate love. The results of the research explain that the combination of love components produces eight kinds of love, representing eight small themes which are covered by one large theme which is the variety of modern human love."

"Film sebagai sarana hiburan juga berfungsi sebagai sarana edukasi. Fungsi film yang satu ini bisa dilihat dalam film Cek Toko Sebelah karya Ernest Prakasa. Film ini mengangkat realitas masyarakat etnis Tionghoa yang umumnya memiliki bisnis keluarga dan mau menurunkan bisnis tersebut kepada anak keturunannya. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kecocokan adegan-adegan di dalam film Cek Toko Sebelah dengan realitas tradisi pewarisan bisnis keluarga Tionghoa di Indonesia pada zaman sekarang. Teori yang digunakan adalah analisis film dan koherensi budaya dengan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui pengamatan scene dan dialog dalam film Cek Toko Sebelah dan penyebaran kuesioner secara online. Hasil dari penelitian ini menemukan bahwa adegan-adegan pewarisan bisnis dalam film Cek Toko Sebelah cocok dengan tradisi pewarisan bisnis keluarga etnis Tionghoa di Indonesia

.Film as a means of entertainment also has function as a means of education. This function can be seen in the film Cek Toko Sebelah by Ernest Prakasa. This film raises the reality of the Chinese ethnic community, the majority of whom own a family business and want to pass this business on to their descendants. This research was conducted to find out how the scenes in the film Cek Toko Sebelah match the reality of the Chinese family business inheritance tradition in Indonesia today. The theory used is film analysis and cultural coherence with qualitative research methods with data collection techniques through observing scenes and dialogue in the film Cek Toko Sebelah and distributing questionnaires online. The results of this study found that the business inheritance scenes in the film Cek Toko Sebelah match the business inheritance tradition of Chinese ethnic families in Indonesia."

"Film Man In Love (2021) adalah film bergenre romansa Taiwan yang disutradari oleh Yin Chen-hao (殷振豪). Film ini mengisahkan A-Cheng, seorang penagih utang yang baik hati, bertemu dengan Hao Ting yang harus menanggung utang ayahnya. A-Cheng menawarkan pengurangan utang pada Hao Ting sebagai imbalan untuk berkencan dengannya. Meskipun awalnya digambarkan kasar dan menakutkan, A-Cheng sebenarnya adalah orang baik, dan pertemuannya dengan Hao Ting menjadi titik balik transformasi karakternya yang mendalam. Masalah penelitian ini berfokus pada bagaiman prinsip kebajikan Rén tercermin dalam karakter A-Cheng dan penggunaan Tona warna dalam film ini. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan bagaimana prinsip kebajikan Rén tergambarkan dalam perilaku A-Cheng, meskipun terdapat stigma dan konflik dalam kehidupannya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan intrinsik yang berfokus pada unsur penokohan dan warna sinematografi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa A-Cheng yang merupakan penagih utang yang kasar mempunyai kualitas-kualitas Rén, dibuktikan dengan cinta kasih yang diberikan kepada orang-orang disekitarnya. Prinsip kebajikan Rén yang terdapat dalam diri ACheng dapat mengubah persepsi orang-orang disekitarnya terhadap dirinya. .Man In Love (2021) is a Taiwanese romantic film directed by Yin Chen-hao (殷振豪). The story revolves around a kind-hearted debt collector named A-Cheng, who meets Hao Ting, a woman burdened with her father's debt. To alleviate her burden, A-Cheng devises a unique repayment scheme: reducing the debt in exchange for dates with him. Initially, A-Cheng is portrayed as a rough and intimidating individual due to his physical appearance, but he is actually a good person. His encounter with Hao Ting becomes a pivotal moment, leading to a profound transformation in his character. This research problem focuses on how the Confucian principle of Rén (仁) is reflected in A-Cheng's character and the use of color tones in the film. The research also aims to reveal how the principle of Rén is depicted in A-Cheng's behavior despite the stigma and conflicts in his life. The method used in this study is qualitative, employing an intrinsic approach that focuses on characterization and cinematographic color elements. The results show that A-Cheng, a seemingly rough debt collector, possesses qualities of Rén, as evidenced by the love and care he shows to those around him. The principle of Rén within A-Cheng can alter the perception of people around him, proving that every individual has the potential to do good."

"Film Nice View (2022) merupakan film karya sutradara Wen Muye yang menceritakan kisah Jing Hao bersama dengan keenam karyawannya dalam mendirikan usaha reparasi ponsel dan melewati tantangan uji kualitas produk hasil reparasinya di kota Shenzhen. Penelitian ini mengkaji keterkaitan aspek intrinsik yaitu alur dengan latar tempat dalam membangun cerita melalui analisa langkah-langkah yang dilakukan tokoh Jing Hao dan kesesuaian penggambaran Shenzhen dalam film dengan realitanya. Untuk menjawab pertanyaan digunakan pendekatan intrinsik dan diperkuat dengan data-data dari sumber sekunder. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa tokoh, alur cerita dan latar tempat dalam film ini saling berkaitan dan mempengaruhi satu sama lain dalam menceritakan tema perjuangan Jing Hao dan karyawannya di tengah kota penghasil keajaiban yaitu Shenzhen. Shenzhen memiliki peran penting sebagai pengemas cerita melalui citra pemukiman dan perkotaan yang digambarkan dalam film. Terdapat juga korelasi judul Bahasa Cina yaitu 奇迹·笨小孩 yang merupakan representasi alur cerita dari awal hingga akhir sedangkan judul Bahasa Inggris yaitu Nice View merupakan bukti keberhasilan Jing Hao.

Nice View (2022) is a film by director Wen Muye that tells the story of Jing Hao and his six employees establishing a cell phone repair business and passing the challenges of testing the quality of the repaired products in Shenzhen. This article examines the relationship between intrinsic aspects, namely plot and setting, in building the story by analyzing the steps taken by the character Jing Hao and the suitability of the depiction of Shenzhen in the film with its reality. To answer the question, an intrinsic approach is used and reinforced with data from secondary sources. The results revealed that the characters, storyline and setting in this movie are interrelated and influence each other in telling the theme of the struggle of Jing Hao and his employees in the middle of the miracle-producing city of Shenzhen. Shenzhen plays an important role in packaging the story through the residential and urban imagery depicted in the movie. There is also a correlation between the Chinese title 奇迹-笨小孩 which is a representation of the storyline from beginning to end while the English title Nice View is evidence of Jing Hao's success."

"Penelitian ini akan membahas tentang kondisi sosial politik yang membentuk Konflik Yaman pasca unifikasi dalam rentang tahun 1990-2019. Penelitian ini akan membaca kondisi realitas sosial dan politik yang berdampak pada terjadinya konflik. Penilitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kritis dan bersifat kualitatif sehingga mampu menelisik secara dalam kondisi sosial politik di Yaman. "Dalam waktu dimana industri perfilman sudah menjadi bagian penting dari budaya populer, ada baiknya bila kita tidak meremehkan pentingnya media tersebut, yang sudah tertanam di kesadaran umum. Dengan menganalisa tema-tema yang berulang di film karya Christopher Nolan, karya ini bermaksud menyelidiki apabila tema dan pesan sebuah film terpancar pada penonton yang melihatnya, dan mungkin melihat seberapa besar pengaruhnya. In a time where the film industry is such a cornerstone of pop culture, we must not underestimate the socio-cultural significance of said media being so entrenched in the public consciousness. By analysing recurring themes in the works of film director Christopher Nolan, this paper aims to find out if a film’s themes and messages reached the audience that watches them, and perhaps even find to what degree they are influenced by it. Determining this will be done by collecting and analysing reviews of a selection of Nolan’s movies and noting if the themes Nolan intended were consistent or not in audience reactions. From the findings and analysis, there has been found data with possible supportive interpretations consistent with ideas outlined in Robert Fisher’s Narrative paradigm and how the conventions of a movie may affect how a film, in its role as a communicative narrative, is received."

In 2015, the issue of refugees become a hot topic in Germany. The increasing number of refugees who have entered Germany in recent years has made this topic raised in several films, for example Hotel California. Hotel California is a short film produced by ABC Bildungs und Tagungszentrum e.V., which tells of the life of refugees in Germany. Through this film, the author analyzes the identity construction of refugee and reveal what ideology contained in the film. The film will be analyzed as a text. The important scenes will be sorted and analyzed using the theory of representation and cultural identity of Stuart Hall."

"ABSTRAKArtikel ini membahas konstruksi identitas tokoh aku sebagai seorang m tisse pada masa penjajahan Prancis di Vietnam dalam cerpen Les Vi t-Minh et Les Colons karya Kim Lef vre ditinjau dari analisis alur, latar, dan tokoh. Proses konstruksi identitas itu terjadi setelah ia menemukan foto masa kecilnya dan melihat wajahnya yang berbeda untuk pertama kalinya di sebuah cermin. Ayahnya adalah seorang tentara Prancis dan ibunya merupakan seorang asli Vietnam. Pengalaman ini menyadarkannya bahwa ia berbeda dari orang-orang beridentitas Vietnam yang lain. This article discusses the identity construction of main character as a m tisse on the France colonial period in Vietnam in the short story Les Vi t Minh et Les Colons by Kim Lef vre, reviewed by analyses on plot, setting, and characters. The construction happens after she finds her childhood photo and looks at her different face for the first time in the mirror. Her father was a French army and her mother is a vietnamese. This experience realize her that she is different from the others who have identity as the people of Vietnam. The result of analyses show that the main character is a girl who always makes efforts to keep her identity as a vietnamese, although the people of Vietnam make her feel like ldquo the other rdquo ."
