"Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui peran adaptabilitas karier terhadap career decision self-efficacy (CDSE) pada mahasiswa yang telah mengikuti program Magang Bersertifikat MBKM. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 215 mahasiswa yang pernah mengikuti program Magang Bersertifikat MBKM. Pengukuran adaptabilitas karier dilakukan menggunakan Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS) milik Savickas dan Porfeli (2012) dan telah diadaptasi ke dalam Bahasa Indonesia oleh Sulistiati et al. (2018). Pengukuran CDSE dilakukan menggunakan Career Decision Self-Efficacy–Short Form (CDSE-SF) milik Betz et al. (1996) yang telah diadaptasi ke dalam Bahasa Indonesia oleh Sawitri (2008). Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis regresi linear sederhana untuk mengolah data. Hasil analisis simple regression menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan adaptabilitas karier mampu memprediksi secara signifikan CDSE pada mahasiswa yang telah mengikuti program Magang Bersertifikat MBKM (β = 0,724, p < 0,05). Hasil tersebut dapat memperkaya studi literatur mengenai evaluasi dari program Magang Bersertifikat MBKM, terutama yang mengaitkan adaptabilitas karier dengan CDSE.
The main goal of this research is to examine the role of career adaptability on career decision self-efficacy (CDSE) among undergraduate students who have participated in Magang Bersertifikat MBKM program. The participants of this research were 215 undergraduate students who have participated in the Magang Bersertifikat MBKM program. To measure the career adaptability, this research used Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS) which was created by Savickas and Porfeli (2012) and has been adapted into Indonesian by Sulistiati et al. (2018). The CDSE measurement is conducted with Career Decision Self-Efficacy–Short Form (CDSE-SF) which was created by Betz et al. (1996) and has been adapted into Indonesian by Sawitri (2008). Descriptive analysis and simple regression analysis was employed to conduct this research. The result of the simple regression analysis shows that career adaptability is able to significantly predict CDSE in alumni of Magang Bersertifikat MBKM undergraduate students (β = 0,724, p < 0,05). This result can enrich literature studies on the evaluation of the Magang Bersertifikat MBKM program, especially those that link career adaptability and CDSE. "

"Berbagai perubahan terjadi akibat dampak dari pandemi COVID-19 yang menuntut mahasiswa agar dapat lebih adaptif dalam mempersiapkan diri untuk bisa melakukan transisi karier yang baik dengan mengikuti program magang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang menggunakan analisis regresi berganda dengan melibatkan sebanyak 189 mahasiswa usia 18-25 (M = 21,49, SD = 0,835) yang berasal dari perguruan tinggi di Indonesia yang mengikuti program magang. Proses pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat ukur Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS) oleh Savickas dan Porfeli (2012) dan Vocational Identity Scale Assessment (VISA) oleh Porfeli et al. (2011). Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa identitas vokasional memiliki peran secara signifikan pada adaptabilitas karier (F(6,189)= 20,402, p = 0,000, R2= 0,402). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa untuk memiliki adaptabilitas karier yang baik, perlu bagi mahasiswa untuk memiliki identitas vokasional yang baik pula. Meski demikian, jika dilihat dari setiap dimensi identitas vokasional, hanya terdapat tiga sub-dimensi yang berperan pada adaptabilitas karier mahasiswa yaitu exploration in-depth, career commitment making, dan commitment flexibility. Limitasi serta saran untuk penelitian selanjutnya dijelaskan dalam penelitian ini.
Various changes have occurred as a result of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, which demands that students be more adaptive in preparing themselves for a successful career transition by participating in internship programs. This research is a quantitative study that uses multiple regression analysis involving 189 final-year students aged 18-25 (M = 21.49, SD = 0.835) from universities in Indonesia who participated in an internship program. The data collection process was carried out using the Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS) from Savickas and Porfeli (2012) and Vocational Identity Scale Assessment (VISA) from Porfeli et al. (2011). The results of the study revealed that vocational identity had a significant role in career adaptability among undergraduate students who have or have been participating in internship programs (F(6,189) = 20.402, p = 0.000 , R2 = 0.402). These results show that in order to have good career adaptability, it is necessary for students to have a good vocational identity as well. However, if we look at each vocational identity dimension, there are only three sub dimensions that play a role in student career adaptability, namely in-depth exploration, making career commitments, and commitment flexibility. Limitations and suggestions for further research are described in this study."

"Mahasiswa yang sedang mempersiapkan diri mereka memasuki dunia kerja dengan mengikuti kegiatan magang dapat menghadapi kesulitan yang memengaruhi adaptabilitas karier mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peran persepsi dukungan sosial terhadap adaptabilitas karier pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang mengikuti program magang. Penelitian ini juga hendak mengidentifikasi sumber persepsi dukungan sosial mana yang paling berperan dalam hubungan antara kedua variabel tersebut. Kriteria partisipan penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa sarjana tingkat akhir pada perguruan tinggi di Indonesia yang sedang atau pernah mengikuti program magang. Pengambilan data dilakukan menggunakan alat ukur Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS) dan Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS). Teknik statistik korelasi Pearson dan multiple regression digunakan untuk menganalisis hubungan serta peran antara persepsi dukungan sosial dengan adaptabilitas karier. Hasil analisis menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara persepsi dukungan sosial dengan adaptabilitas karier pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang mengikuti program magang. Akan tetapi, effect size antara kedua variabel tersebut tergolong kecil. Sementara itu, sumber persepsi dukungan sosial yang bersumber dari orang tua ditemukan sebagai satu-satunya sumber yang memiliki hubungan signifikan dengan adaptabilitas karier. Limitasi serta saran untuk penelitian selanjutnya dijelaskan dalam penelitian ini.
Undergraduate students who are preparing themselves to enter the workforce by participating in internships may face difficulties that affect their career adaptability. This study examines the role of perceived social support on career adaptability among final-year undergraduate students who have participated in an internship program. It also aims to identify which source of perceived social support plays the most significant role. The criteria for participants in this study are final-year undergraduate students in a university in Indonesia who are currently participating or have participated in an internship program. Data collection was carried out using the Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS) and the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS). Pearson's correlation and multiple regression techniques were used to analyze the relationship between the two variables. Results show that there is a positive and significant relationship between perceived social support and career adaptability. However, the effect size is considered small. Meanwhile, perceived social support from parents was found to be the only source with a positive and significant relationship with career adaptability. Limitations and suggestions for further research are described in this study."

"Daya saing antar manusia dan teknologi digital menyebabkan pasar tenaga kerja menjadi lebih kompetitif dan ambigu, khususnya bagi mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang akan memasuki dunia kerja sehingga diperlukan Career Adaptability (CA). Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji peran Career Decision Self Efficacy (CDSE) dalam memediasi proactive personality dan CA pada 175 mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang telah mengikuti program magang Kampus Merdeka. Hasil mediation analysis menunjukkan tidak terdapat direct effect proactive personality terhadap CA (c’ = -0,1082; p > 0,05). Namun, terdapat indirect effect melalui mediasi CDSE (ab = 0,8939; p < 0,001). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa program magang Kampus Merdeka membantu mahasiswa menghadapi dinamika industri yang terus berubah dengan memfasilitasi peningkatan proactive personality, CDSE, CA serta mengurangi kesenjangan antara perguruan tinggi dan dunia kerja.
Competitiveness between humans and digital technology causes the labor market to become more competitive and ambiguous, especially for final year students that will enter the workforce, necessitating Career Adaptability (CA). This research was conducted to examine the role of Career Decision Self Efficacy (CDSE) in mediating between proactive personality and CA in 175 final year students who had participated in the Kampus Merdeka internship program. The mediation analysis showed no direct role of proactive personality on CA (c’ = -0.1082; p > 0.05). However, there was an indirect role through mediation by CDSE (ab = 0.8939; p < 0.001). These findings suggest that the Kampus Merdeka internship program aids students in dealing with the evolving dynamics of the industry by facilitating improvements in proactive personality, CDSE, and CA, thus reducing the gap between university and the workforce."

"Siswa yang memiliki efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier akan yakin dengan kemampuannya untuk melakukan tugas-tugas yang dibutuhkan dalam memilih jurusan kuliah yang tepat. Tinggi rendahnya keyakinan siswa tidak terlepas dari peran orang tua seperti harapan dan dukungan terkait karier. Siswa cenderung mematuhi orang tua karena budaya kolektivis di Indonesia menekankan pentingnya hubungan sosial yang harmonis. Di sisi lain, kepatuhan tersebut dapat membuat siswa merasa tertekan dan terpaksa memilih jurusan yang salah. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 349 siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas Kelas 12. Harapan karier orang tua diukur menggunakan subskala Perceived Parental Expectation pada faktor academic achievement (PPE-AA) dari alat ukur The Living up to Parental Expectation Inventory (LPEI), kongruensi karier remaja-orang tua diukur menggunakan Adolescent-Parent Career Congruence Scale (APCCS), dan efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier diukur menggunakan Career Decision Self-Efficacy Short Form (CDSE-SF). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi siswa terhadap harapan karier orang tua dan kongruensi dengan orang tua mengenai karier dapat meningkatkan efikasi diri siswa dalam keputusan karier secara bersama-sama, F (2,346) = 41,011, p<0,001. Persepsi siswa mengenai kongruensi karier dengan orang tua lebih mampu meningkatkan efikasi diri siswa dalam keputusan karier dibanding persepsi terhadap harapan karier orang tua. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, orang tua diharapkan terlibat secara aktif dan mendukung karier siswa secara kongruen untuk membantu siswa merasa lebih yakin ketika memutuskan karier.
Students with career decision self-efficacy will believe in their capabilities to do various tasks needed in choosing the right college major. Student’s level of belief is related to their parents’ behavior such as expectations and support regarding career. Indonesia’s collectivist culture emphasizes the importance of harmonious social relations, making students tend to obey their parents. But obedience can also make students feel pressured and forced to choose the wrong major. The total of participants in this study amounts to 349 high school students in grade 12. Parental career expectations are measured by the Perceived Parental Expectation subscale on academic achievement (PPE-AA) from The Living up to Parental Expectation Inventory (LPEI), adolescent-parent career congruence is measured by Adolescent-Parent Career Congruence Scale (APCCS), and career decision self-efficacy is measured by Career Decision Self-Efficacy Short Form (CDSE-SF). The result of this study indicates that student’s perceptions towards parental career expectations and career congruence between them and their parents simultaneously can increase student’s career decision self-efficacy,F (2,346) = 41,011, p<0,001. Student’s perceptions of career congruence with their parents are more capable of increasing student’s career decision self-efficacy when compared to student’s perceptions towards parental career expectations. Based on these findings, parents are expected to be actively involved and give congruent support in helping students to be more confident in making career decisions."

"Efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier menjadi topik yang penting dalam perkembangan karier mahasiswa karena banyak dikaitkan dengan ketidakpastian karier, kestabilan dan persistensi karier seseorang. Studi ini bertujuan untuk meneliti pengaruh dukungan kontekstual, hambatan kontekstual dan kepribadian proaktif terhadap efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier pada mahasiswa melalui self-directed learning berdasarkan Social Cognitive Career Theory SCCT. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang melibatkan 496 mahasiswa semester 4 dari seluruh fakultas di Universitas Indonesia. Partisipan diminta untuk menjawab pertanyaan dari Career Decision Self-Efficacy Short Form, Dukungan dan Hambatan Kontekstual, 17-item Proactive Personality Scale dan Student Self-Directed Learning Questionaire.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dukungan kontekstual dan kepribadian proaktif memiliki pengaruh secara langsung maupun tidak langsung melalui self-directed learning secara positif dan signifikan terhadap efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier. Hambatan kontekstual memiliki pengaruh tidak langsung melalui self-directed learning secara negatif dan signifikan terhadap efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier terhadap efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier. Penelitian ini memiliki keterbatasan teoritik karena pembahasan hanya berbasis pada pandangan SCCT model pilihan karier. Padahal dalam perkembangannya teori SCCT mengembangkan beberapa model yang dapat memperluas pembahasan efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier.
Penelitian ini memiliki implikasi praktis bahwa mahasiswa yang memiliki ciri-ciri kepribadian proaktif akan tercermin pada seseorang yang memiliki ciri-ciri self-directed learning, yaitu bertanggung jawab terhadap pendidikan yang ditekuni dan dapat beradaptasi terhadap hambatan yang dijumpainya. Saran penelitian ini antara lain untuk memantapkan efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier, hambatan perlu diminimalisir dengan meningkatkan self-directed learning, membangun inisiatif mahasiswa dan meningkatkan dukungan kontekstual.
Career decision self efficacy is an important topic in the career development because it is associated with career uncertainty, stability and persistence of one 39 s career. The aim of this study is to examine the effect of contextual support, contextual barriers, and proactive personality on career decisions self efficacy through self directed learning, based on Social Cognitive Career Theory. A quantitative study is carried out, involving 496 fourth semester students from all faculties in Universitas Indonesia. Participants have to answer the Career Decision Self Efficacy Short Form Scale, Support and Barriers Contextual Scale, 17 item Proactive Personality Scale and the Student Self Directed Learning Questionnaire.The results showed that support contextual and proactive personality has a direct and indirect effect through self directed learning in a positive and significant impact on career decision self efficacy. Contextual barriers have an indirect effect through self directed learning in a negative and significant impact on career decision self efficacy. This study has limitations because the theoretical discussion is only based on the views SCCT model of career choice. Whereas SCCT has developed several models to expand the discussion of career decision self efficacy.This research has practical implications that students who have a proactive personality traits will be reflected as a person who has the characteristics of self directed learning, which is responsible for their education and can adapt to any obstacles encountered. The suggestion of this research is to establish career decision self efficacy, barriers need to be minimized by increasing self directed learning, build student rsquo s initiative and improve contextual support."

"Masa transisi dari perkuliahan ke dunia kerja merupakan periode yang penuh tantangan bagi mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Masa transisi ini seringkali diwarnai dengan berbagai ketidakpastian dan perubahan, sehingga menuntut individu untuk memiliki kemampuan beradaptasi yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peran career decision self-efficacy dalam memediasi hubungan antara parental career-related behavior dan adaptabilitas karier pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian non-eksperimental. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program sarjana (N=256) dari berbagai universitas di Jabodetabek yang sedang menempuh semester 6 atau lebih. Career Decision Self-Efficacy Scale – Short Form (CDSE-SF), Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS), Parental Career-Related Behavior Scale (PCB-S) menjadi alat ukur dalam penelitian ini. Pengolahan data dilakukan menggunakan Pearson Correlation dan macro PROCESS dari Hayes. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa career decision self-efficacy dapat menjadi variabel mediator parsial dalam hubungan antara support parental career-related behavior dengan adaptabilitas karier, dan menjadi mediator penuh dalam hubungan antara interference dan lack of engagement parental career-related behavior dengan adaptabilitas karier. Penelitian ini memiliki implikasi bahwa peningkatan career decision self-efficacy dan dukungan karier dari orang tua dapat meningkatkan adaptabilitas karier mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Penelitian ini memberikan manfaat bagi pengembangan karier di perguruan tinggi, mahasiswa, dan orang tua.
The transition from college to the workforce is a challenging period for senior year college students. These transitional periods are often colored with a variety of uncertainties and changes, thus demanding that individuals have good adaptability. This study aims to examine the role of career decision self-efficacy in mediating the relationship between parental career-related behavior and career adaptability among senior year college students. This is a quantitative study with a non-experimental research design. Purposive sampling was used to collect data from 256 undergraduate students from various universities in the Jabodetabek area who were in their 6th semester or higher. The research instruments used were the Career Decision Self-Efficacy Scale – Short Form (CDSE-SF), Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS), and Parental Career-Related Behavior Scale (PCB-S). Data analysis was conducted using Pearson Correlation and Hayes' macro PROCESS. The results of this study showed that career decision self-efficacy can be a partial mediator in the relationship between support parental career-related behavior and career adaptability, and a full mediator in the relationship between interference and lack of engagement parental career-related behavior and career adaptability. This research has implications that improved career decision self-efficacy and support parental career related behavior can improve the career adaptability of senior year college students. This study provides benefits for career development in higher education, students, and parents."

"Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara keberfungsian keluarga dengan efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier pada siswa kelas 12 di Jabodetabek. Keberfungsian keluarga diukur menggunakan alat ukur Family Adaptability and Cohesion Evaluation Scale II FACES II dan Family Communication Scale FCS. Sedangkan efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier diukur menggunakan alat ukur Career Decision Self-Efficacy Short Form CDSE-SF. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 333 siswa kelas 12.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara keberfungsian keluarga dengan efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier pada siswa kelas 12 di Jabodetabek. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi keberfungsian keluarga yang dipersepsikan siswa maka semakin tinggi pula efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier yang dimilikinya. Penelitian ini juga memperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat dua dimensi keberfungsian keluarga yang berperan secara signifikan terhadap efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier pada siswa kelas 12 yaitu dimensi fleksibilitas dan dimensi komunikasi.
Pada penelitian ini, kontribusi keberfungsian keluarga terhadap efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier hanya 7, kemungkinan besar terdapat faktor-faktor lain yang berkontribusi terhadap efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier. Oleh karena itu, pada penelitian selanjutnya perlu dipertimbangkan faktor eksternal lainnya seperti peran guru atau teman sebaya pada siswa kelas 12.
This study was conducted to examine the relationship between family functioning and career decisions self efficacy on 12th grade students in Jabodetabek. Family functioning is measured by Family Adaptability and Cohesion Evaluation Scale II FACES II and Family Communication Scale FCS. Meanwhile, career decisions self efficacy is measured by Career Decision Self Efficacy Short Form CDSE SF. The total of sample used in this study amounts to 333 students of 12th grade. The result of this study indicates a significant positive relationship between between family functioning and career decisions self efficacy on 12th grade students in Jabodetabek. This result indicates that the higher the family functioning that is perceived by 12th grade students, the higher their career decision self efficacy become. This study also found the result that there are two dimensions of family functioning that contribute significantly to career decision self efficacy on 12th grade students which is flexibility and communication. In this study, the contribution of family functioning to career decision self efficacy is only 7, most likely there are other factors that contribute to career decision self efficacy. Therefore, further research should consider other external factors such as the role of the teacher or peer group on 12th grade students."

"Magang dan Studi Independen Bersertifikat (MSIB) merupakan salah satu dari program Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) yang banyak diminati oleh mahasiswa. Dengan kegiatan yang padat serta waktu kuliah yang masih berjalan membuat program MSIB ini menjadi semakin menantang. Dalam hal ini, adaptabilitas karier diperlukan mahasiswa agar mampu menyesuaikan diri dan menghadapi tantangan yang ada di dalam perkembangan kariernya. Untuk mengembangkan adaptabilitas karier, diperlukan growth mindset agar mahasiswa dapat menjadikan tantangan sebagai sebuah proses belajar dan pengembangan diri. Meskipun memiliki growth mindset, diperlukan kegigihan sebagai upaya konkret yang dapat membantu mahasiswa dengan growth mindset untuk mengaktifkan adaptabilitas kariernya. Oleh karena itu, kegigihan diduga memediasi hubungan growth mindset dan adaptabilitas karier. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 175 mahasiswa diploma dan sarjana semester 6-10 yang sedang mengikuti MSIB. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Career Adapt-abilities Scale International Form (CAAS-IF) (24 item, α=0,918), Growth Mindset Scale (4 item, α=0,848) dan Grit Short Scale (Grit-S) (8 item, α=0,765). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kegigihan dapat memediasi hubungan antara growth mindset dan adaptabilitas karier secara parsial. Hasil dari penelitian ini memberikan manfaat untuk pemangku kebijakan program MSIB, para profesional dan mahasiswa.
Magang and Studi Independen Bersertifikat (MSIB) is considered as one of the popular programs under the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) preferred by undergraduate students. With a highly dynamic activity schedule and concurrent implementation alongside regular classes in university, the MSIB program becomes even more challenging.Therefore, career adaptability is essential for undergraduate students to be able to adapt and face challenges in their career development. In spite of having a growth mindset, grit is needed as a concrete effort that can help students with a growth mindset to activate their career adaptability. Furthermore, grit is suspected to mediate the relationship between growth mindset and career adaptability. The participants in this study consist of 175 bachelor’s and associate degree students in their 6th to 10th who are currently undergoing MSIB program. The instruments used in this study are the Career Adapt-abilities Scale-International Form (CAAS-IF) (24 items, α=0.918), Growth Mindset Scale (4 items, α=0.848), and Grit Short Scale (Grit-S) (8 items, α=0.765). The results of this study indicate that grit partially mediates the relationship between growth mindset and career adaptability in undergraduate students enrolled on MSIB. The findings of this research can be beneficial for the policymakers of the MSIB program, professionals working in higher education institutions and the students."

"Mahasiswa yang sedang memasuki periode realistis dalam tahap perkembangan karier masih memiliki tingkat adaptabilitas karier rendah. Faktor eksternal yang sangat memengaruhi adaptabilitas karier pada mahasiswa adalah dukungan teman sebaya, dimana mahasiswa lebih banyak menghabiskan waktu bersama teman sebayanya untuk saling memberikan informasi dan saran karier, dukungan emosional, serta menjadikan teman sebagai panutan dalam hal yang berkaitan dengan karier. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran mediasi oleh efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karier (CDSE) pada pengaruh dukungan teman sebaya terhadap adaptabilitas karier kepada mahasiswa. CDSE dipilih sebagai mediator karena adaptabilitas karier dapat ditingkatkan melalui sumber-sumber efikasi diri. Responden adalah mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang sedang kuliah di Jabodetabek (N = 538) dengan teknik pengambilan data berupa convenience sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen Career-Adapt-Abilities Scale, Career-Related Peer Support, dan Career Decision Self Efficacy - Short Form yang telah diadaptasi ke dalam Bahasa Indonesia. Hasil uji mediasi menunjukkan bahwa efikasi diri dalam pengambilan keputusan karier memediasi secara penuh pengaruh dukungan teman sebaya terhadap adaptabilitas karier (c = 0,247; p < 0,001). Dukungan teman sebaya sebagai faktor eksternal tidak cukup untuk meningkatkan adaptabilitas karier, namun diperlukan adanya faktor internal untuk meningkatkan adaptabilitas karier mahasiswa, dimana dalam hal ini diwadahi oleh CDSE. College students are in a realistic period in the career development stage, but in reality, the level of students’ career adaptability is still low. The external factor that greatly influences the career adaptability of students is peer support, where students spend more time with their peers for providing information and career suggestions to each other, emotional support, and being role models in matters related to careers. College students tend to spend most of their time with peers to exchange career information and suggestions, emotional support, and peers as their role models in a career-related setting. This present study aims to analyze the mediating role of career decision self-efficacy (CDSE) on the effect of peer support on career adaptability to college students. CDSE was chosen as moderator because career adaptability can be enhanced through self-efficacy sources. Participants are final year students in Jabodetabek (N = 538) and data was collected using convenience sampling techniques. This study was using Career Adapt-Abilities Scale, Career-Related Peer Support, and Career Decision Self-Efficacy - Short Form that have been translated to Bahasa. Mediation analysis shows that career decision self-efficacy fully mediated peer support on career adaptability (c = 0,247; p < 0,001). Peer support as an external factor is not sufficient enough to enhance career adaptability, but internal factor is needed to enhance career adaptability, which is career decision self-efficacy.
