Biomedical engineering has become an important component in the development of health technology in Indonesia over the past two decades. The undergraduate programs established by several universities are expected to become a meeting point between engineering faculties and the health sciences cluster (RIK), as well as providing solutions to the challenges of biomedical technology. However, the understanding of the role of biomedical engineering in the context of Indonesian health policy and its implementation in health facilities still needs to be improved. This research aims to understand the significance of the role of the biomedical engineering profession in the formulation of Indonesian health policies and their implementation in health facilities. The Grindle policy analysis method used in this research allows for in-depth observation of the integration of the role of biomedical engineering in Indonesian health policy, based on interviews with experts in health technology, health policy, and biomedical engineering. This study found that the main problem in the development of the biomedical engineering profession lies in the lack of legal standing due to the absence of clear associations and advocacy platforms. Furthermore, strengthening regulations to encourage the allocation of biomedical engineering personnel can serve as an evaluation of existing policies. It is hoped that this research will initiate further discussions on the productive contributions of biomedical engineering in enhancing the Indonesian health industry."

This study aims to analyze the impact of Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) activities on the performance of health service companies in the Asia Pacific, using panel data regression method analysis. This study used a sample of 124 healthcare companies in the Asia Pacific region in the period 2018 to 2022. The study uses ROA and ROE variables as indicators of company performance. The results of this study show that there is no significant effect on the company's ESG activities on the performance of health care companies. Country level development of a country in the Asia Pacific region also has no impact on the company's overall ESG activities, the exception for the S*country pillar has a significant positive influence but does not significant effect on total ESG. "In this book, application-related studies for acoustic biomedical sensors are covered in depth. The book features an array of different biomedical signals, including acoustic biomedical signals as well as the thermal biomedical signals, magnetic biomedical signals, and optical biomedical signals to support healthcare. It employs signal processing approaches, such as filtering, Fourier transform, spectral estimation, and wavelet transform. The book presents applications of acoustic biomedical sensors and bio-signal processing for prediction, detection, and monitoring of some diseases from the phonocardiogram (PCG) signal analysis. Several challenges and future perspectives related to the acoustic sensors applications are highlighted. This book supports the engineers, researchers, designers, and physicians in several interdisciplinary domains that support healthcare. "

"This book presents a thorough discussion of the physics, biology, chemistry and medicinal science behind a new and important area of materials science and engineering: polymer nanocomposites. The tremendous opportunities of polymer nanocomposites in the biomedical field arise from their multitude of applications and their ability to satisfy the vastly different functional requirements for each of these applications. In the biomedical field, a polymer nanocomposite system must meet certain design and functional criteria, including biocompatibility, biodegradability, mechanical properties, and, in some cases, aesthetic demands.
