"The spread-out of radicalism and terrorism needs to be overcome in the veryearly stage at home, school, university, and community. For that, education institutionsshould build anti-radicalism attitude for its students through an integrated values of characterbuilding. This study aims to analyze the impact of university’s mission, curriculum, andleadership towards student’s attitude of anti-radicalism.The study is undertaken with aquantitative approach by using a multiple regression analysis, in universities implementingahlusunnah wal jama’ah principles, nationalism, and insight of nationality. The study foundthat factors such as leadership, curriculum, and mission significantly have positive impactand big contribution toward student’s anti-radicalism attitude."

"Berkembangnya paham radikalisme dan terorisme perlu dicegah sejak dini di lingkungan keluarga, sekolah/perguruan tinggi, dan lingkungan masyarakat. Menyikapi hal ini, lembaga pendidikan perlu membangun sikap anti-radikalisme para peserta didik melalui pengintegrasian nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari misi, kurikulum, dan kepemimpinan perguruan tinggi terhadap perilaku antiradikalisme mahasiswa. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan analisis regresi berganda, yaitu pada perguruan-perguruan tinggi yang mengamalkan faham ahlusunnah wal jama’ah, nasionalisme, dan berwawasan kebangsaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor seperti kepemimpinan, kurikulum, dan misi perguruan tinggi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap perilaku anti-radikalisme mahasiswa"

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai pelayanan pendidikan pada Dinas Pendidikan Kota Bekasi dalam pelaksanaan pelayanan Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru (PPDB) Online di jenjang SMK pada tahun 2015. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan paradigma post positivist. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam dan studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pelayanan pendidikan yang dilakukan oleh Dinas Pendidikan Kota Bekasi memiliki kinerja yang belum baik, padahal Dinas memiliki sumber daya keuangan, material, manusia dan regulasi yang cukup memadai. Panitia penyelenggara memilki struktur dan fungsi yang jelas dalam bertugas, namun masih ditemukan banyak masalah dalam pengelolaan sumber daya dan komitmen panitia penyelennggara dalam melaksanakan pelayanan. Manfaat dari pelayanan pendidikan PPDB Online tahun 2015 belum terasa signifikan bagi para stakeholder yang terlibat.
This study discusses the educational services in Bekasi City Department of Education in the implementation of Admission Students New (PPDB) Online service at vocational high school in 2015. This study used qualitative approach and the post-positivist paradigm. Data was collected through in-depth interviews and literatures study. The results showed that educational services are carried out by the Bekasi City Department of Education has not been good, yet, the Department has the financial resources, materials, human and adequate regulation. Departement have the effective structure and clear function, but still found many problems in the resources management and the committee commitment in carrying out the service. Benefit from educational services PPDB Online 2015 has not felt significant for stakeholders involved."

"The purpose of this research is to comprehensively examine the views of special school teachers in the development of special educational curricula on the design and principles. The research involved fourty three teachers froms eight different special schools.Data was collected through forum group discussion dan analyzed by descriptive qualitative method. The results show, first, from the teacher’s point of view, that in designing a special educational curriculum for learners with special needs it should contain practical knowledge, moral character qualities and performance, essential skills, competence, art,and literacy praxis. Secondly, flexibility, functionality, independence, literacy, and vocational are the principles of developing a special education curriculum for learners with special needs."

AbstrakThis paper is aimed at presenting an implemented community engagement of the University of San Carlos School of Education with the communities of Agusan del Sur, Philipines, in close partnership with the Justice Peace and Integrity of Creation IDC, (JPIC-IDC) Incorporated of Agusan del Sur as a response to a felt need in the early childhood education program of the province. In 2004, JPIC pooled together concerted resources from provincial and local government units, non-government organization and academe to create and develop a cul ture based curriculum guide for early childhood education that is appropriate and responsive to the needs of indigenous groups in Agusan del Sur, Southern Philippines. To address these needs, an ethnographic commu-nity engagement framework was utilized and initiated by JPIC IDC team and the University Of San Carlos School Of Education. The community engagement framework facilitated the partnership of Agusan del Sur government leaders, a non government organization in Germany, community cultural masters, Day Care Teachers and the University of San Carlos School of Education to create a developmentally appropriate and culture-based cur-riculum for Day Care with a supporting handbook for mother teachers in early childhood education. As a result of this framework, children drop out decreased from 80% to 10% while parent community involvement in creased from 30% to 90% in 2009 (JPIC-IDC, 2007). Ongoing teacher trainings and community orientations on the culture-based curriculum have been extended to 42 additional communities in 2012-2018 from 35 com-munities in 2007 upon request from the provincial governor. Two editions of a culture-based handbook have been published and a third edition is currently prepared for District 2 communities with guided participation by Day Care teachers as co-authors. This community engagement framework, initiated by the Justice Peace and Integrity of Creation of Agusan del Sur Philippines involving all stakeholders from the provincial leaders to the recipients of early childhood education, serves as a model to community extension service programs (CES) of schools and universities as well as to curriculum practitioners and administrators. Three principles involved in this particular community engagement concretely demonstrate that program sustainability is a product of partnership, sensitivity to culture and context and relevance to
community need"

"Numerous pieces of research have addressed the issue of terrorism and radicalism in Southeast Asia, and security studies are inundated with works covering its origin, function, and impact. However, this article argues that equal attention should be given to non-violent extremism and its impact on societies at the discursive level. By examining case studies from Indonesia and Malaysia, two Muslim-majority nations, this article contends that the question is not whether non-violent extremism directly or indirectly leads to terrorism, but how it can also shape policies and regulations through lobbying, trigger mass political mobilization, and nurture intolerance and hatred towards minority groups."

"Radikalisme menjadi ancaman nasional bagi bangsa dan negara Indonesia, khususnya Radikalisme Agama pada mayoritas rakyat Indonesia yang beragama Islam. Ketahanan Nasional menjadi ukuran yang proporsional bagi kekuatan bangsa dan negara dalam menghadapi radikalisme dan terorisme. Pemuda sebagai aset masa depan bangsa dan negara memiliki peran penting dalam mencegah radikalisme, dalam kaitannya dengan Radikalisme Agama peran pemuda diwakili oleh Mahasiswa Islam sebagai kaum intelektual yang lahir dari perguruan tinggi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif, dengan melakukan observasi juga wawancara dan data sekunder menghasilkan data analisis deskriptif, yaitu dinyatakan secara tertulis atau lisan sesuai kenyataan dengan penjelasan yang mendetail. Gambaran mendalam terkait fenomena radikalisme agama di komunitas mahasiswa, diperoleh dengan metode triangulasi untuk memvalidasi temuan penelitian, triangulasi pada penelitian ini adalah pengecekan data dari seluruh Organisasi Mahasiswa Islam (PMII, HMI, IMM, dan KAMMI). Teori Hubungan Internasional, Teori Ketahanan Nasional dan Teori Kepemimpinan Situasional masing-masing digunakan untuk : mengidentifikasi masuknya radikalisme agama di kalangan mahasiswa, menjelaskan aspek-aspek penting dari sebab dan pencegahan radikalisme, juga kondisi kekinian organisasi dan lingkungannya dalam menentukan cara pencegahan radikalisme. Ditemukan dalam penelitian ini bahwa Fundamentalisme Agama yang tumbuh dari Gerakan Transnasional menjadi pintu masuk bagi Radikalisme Agama, juga berdampak lebih lanjut menjadi Ekstrimisme Agama dan Terorisme Agama. Aspek Ideologi dalam Organisasi Mahasiswa Islam yang terwujud pada setiap nilai luhur organisasi disepakati sebagai yang terpenting pada pembangunan karakter pemuda dalam mencegah radikalisme agama. Kolaborasi antara Ketahanan Nasional dan Model Pentahelix juga menjadi tawaran untuk 4 Aspek selanjutnya, yaitu Politik, Ekonomi, Sosial Budaya, dan Pertahanan Keamanan
Radicalism is a national threat to the Indonesian nation and state, especially Religious Radicalism to the majority of the Indonesian people who are Muslim. National Resilience becomes a proportional measure for the state in facing radicalism and national terrorism. Youth as the future asset of the nation and state have an important role in preventing radicalism, in relation to Religious Radicalism the role of youth is shown by Islamic students as intellectuals born from college. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method, by conducting observations as well as interviews and secondary data resulting in descriptive data analysis, which is stated in writing or orally according to reality with detailed explanations. An in-depth description of the phenomenon of religious radicalism in the student community was obtained by using the triangulation method to validate the findings, triangulation in this study was checking data from all Islamic Student Organizations (PMII, HMI, IMM, and KAMMI). International Relations Theory, National Resilience Theory and Situational Leadership Theory are respectively used to: Identify the entry of religious radicalism among students, explain important aspects of the causes and prevention of radicalism, as well as the current conditions of the organization and its environment in determining how to prevent radicalism. It was found in this study that Religious Fundamentalism which grew from the Transnational Movement became the entrance for Religious Radicalism, also had a further impact on Religious Extremism and Religious Terrorism. Ideological aspects in Islamic Student Organizations that are manifested in each organization's noble values are agreed to be the most important in building youth character in preventing religious radicalism. The collaboration between National Resilience and the Pentahelix Model is also an offer for the next 4 Aspects, namely Political, Economic, Socio-Cultural, and Defense and Security."

"Radikalisme merupakan sikap yang menginginkan perubahan menyeluruh dan revolusioner dengan membalikan nilai yang ada secara drastis lewat aksi dan kekerasan. Paham radikal telah tersebar di dunia pendidikan melalui proses Islamisasi, perekrutan, dan jaringan yang tertutup yang dilakukan secara terorganisir. Sejak terungkapnya para pelaku aksi bom Bali yang melibatkan alumni santri Pondok Pesantren Al-Islam di Lamongan, pesantren kerap dikaitkan dengan terorisme dan penyebaran radikalisme. Masuknya paham radikal salah satunya disebabkan oleh ketidakpahaman tentang ideologi bangsa yaitu Pancasila. Saat ini masyarakat hanya terbatas pada menghapal Pancasila namun tidak memahami dan mengamalkannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberi rekomendasi kepada instansi terkait dan masyarakat tentang pentingnya pendidikan Pancasila di pondok pesantren untuk mencegah radikalisme. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif dan data diperoleh dari studi dokumen dan wawancara, kemudian data dianalisa. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa penyebaran radikalisme di pondok pesantren terjadi karena kiai dan pengurus yang radikal serta dari media dan buku. Pentingnya pengajaran dan penanaman nilai-nilai Pancasila di pondok pesantren berdasarkan teori asosisasi diferensial agar Pancasila dipelajari dan ditanamkan sehingga paham radikal tidak bisa masuk, kemudian teori kontrol sosial agar nilai-nilai Pancasila dapat terus tertanam dan terjaga, dan teori penghukuman sehingga diharapkan mencegah terjadinya pelanggaran.
Radicalism is an action that wants comprehensive and revolutionary change by drastically reversing existing values ââthrough action and violence. Radical ideas have spread to the world of education through a process of Islamization, recruitment, and closed networks that are carried out in an organized manner. Since the revelations of the perpetrators of the Bali bombings involving alumni of Islamic boarding school students in Lamongan, Islamic boarding schools have often been associated with terrorism and the spread of radicalism. One of the reasons for the entry of radicalism is the lack of understanding of the nation's ideology, namely Pancasila. Currently people are only limited to memorizing Pancasila but do not understand and practice it. The purpose of this study is to provide recommendations to relevant agencies and the public about the importance of Pancasila Education in Islamic boarding schools to prevent radicalism. The research method used is qualitative and the data is obtained from document studies and interviews, then the data is analyzed. The results of the study found that the spread of radicalism in Islamic boarding schools occurred because of radical kiai and administrators as well as from the media and books. The importance of teaching and inculcating Pancasila values ââin Islamic boarding schools is based on the theory of differential association so that Pancasila is learned and inculcated so that radicalism cannot enter, then the theory of social control so that Pancasila values ââcan continue to be embedded and maintained, and the theory of punishment so that it is expected to prevent violations."
