"ABSTRAKTesis ini membahas perubahan sosial budaya yang terjadi dalam kehidupan masyarakat Desa Klaces akibat perubahan lingkungan alam yang terjadi di kawasan Segara Anakan serta dampaknya terhadap relasi, solidaritas, dan kepercayaan trust antar masyarakat. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode etnografi. Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa meskipun telah mengalami perubahan pola hidup yang besar, tetapi masyarakat Desa Klaces memiliki modal sosial yang cukup kuat untuk mempertahankan eksistensi mereka. Relasi, kebersamaan, dan kepercayaan menjadi aspek yang disoroti untuk memahami modal sosial yang dimiliki oleh masyarakat Desa Klaces dan bagaimana hal tersebut membantu mereka menghadapi segala perubahan dalam kehidupan mereka.

ABSTRACTThe focus of this study is social changes in the lives of rural communities in Klaces that occurs due to changes in the natural environment at Segara Anakan, and their impact on relations, solidarity, and trust between communities. This study is an ethnography research. This study shows that although has undergone great changes in life patterns, but the villagers social capital is strong enough to sustain their existence. Relationships, togetherness, and trust becomes highlighted aspects for understanding social capital of community in Klaces and how it has helped them face all the changes in their lives."

Specifically the Indonesian teak forests based on the data provided by Nancy Lee Peluso's book "Rich Forests, Poor People," (1992) on the island of java and the Indonesian Oil and LNG industries in Bontang, East Kalimantan Based on the writer's research data (1997). The general environment and development relations of the energy and forestry sectors have both similarities and differences and they are compared during the New Order period (1966-1997) with specific emphasis on the role of the state within the Indonesian political economy."
