"Fenomena menggunakan akun kedua merupakan upaya untuk memampukan individu mengungkapkan informasi pribadi yang lebih tersembunyi. Konteks ekologi media di Indonesia, terutama pada faktor budaya, membuat beberapa topik sensitif tidak bisa dibahas di media sosial. Sehingga, Akun alter menjadi salah satu bentuk akun kedua yang digunakan untuk berinteraksi dengan kelompok sosial tertentu. Dalam konteks komunitas furry, individu menciptakai identitas alternatif yang dikenal dengan istilah fursona. Identitas tersebut menjadi artefak pada akun media sosial yang ditujukan untuk berinteraksi pada anggota furry lainnya. Penelitian ini mencaritahu bagaimana proses pengungkapan diri pada subkultur furry yang menggunakan akun fursona di media sosial. Penelitian ini berfokus pada 5 tujuan pengungkapan diri: ekspresi diri, klarifikasi diri, validasi sosial, kontrol sosial, dan membangun relasi. Penulis mencari tahu motivasi atau tujuan self-disclosure menggunakan akun fursona. Setelah dikaitkan dengan tujuan pengungkapan diri, penulis menemukan bahwa tiap individu memiliki motivasi yang berbeda-beda dalam membuat akun fursona. Tiap individu mencapai motivasi pengungkapan diri yang utama saat membuat akun fursona, serta mencapai tujuan pengungkapan diri lain seiring dengan penggunaan akun tersebut. Penulis menemukan beberapa fenomena lain. Pertama, fursona diciptakan sebagai cerminan diri penciptanya. Kedua, akun fursona memiliki manfaat sebagai ruang aman untuk berbagi konten yang sensitif. Ketiga, pemilik akun fursona mencapai kesehatan mental yang positif karena berinteraksi dengan komunitas yang menerima beragam topik, termasuk yang tabu.

The phenomenon of using a second account is an attempt to enable individuals to reveal more hidden personal information. The media ecology context of Indonesia, especially cultural factors, means that several sensitive topics cannot be discussed on social media. Thus, an alter account becomes a form of second account used to interact with certain social groups. In the context of the furry community, individuals create alternative identities known as fursona. This identity becomes an artifact on a social media account intended to interact with other furry members. This research seeks to understand the process of self-disclosure in the furry subculture who use fursona accounts on social media. This research focuses on 5 goals of self-disclosure: self-expression, self-clarification, social validation, social control, and building relationships. The author seeks to find out the motivation or purpose of self-disclosure using the fursona account. After linking it to the purpose of self-disclosure, the author found that each individual had different motivations in creating a fursona account. Each individual achieves their primary self-disclosure motivation when creating a fursona account, as well as achieving other self-disclosure goals as they use the account. The author discovered several other phenomena. First, the fursona was created as a reflection of its creator. Second, fursona accounts have the benefit of being a safe space for sharing sensitive content. Third, fursona account owners achieve positive mental health by interacting with a community that accepts a variety of topics, including taboo ones."

"Mendominasi pengguna aktif media sosial di dunia, dewasa muda memanfaatkan Instagram guna memenuhi kebutuhan untuk melakukan pengungkapan diri mengenai aspek kehidupan romantis dalam lingkup komunikasi masspersonal. Memiliki kontrol mutlak atas kehadiran digitalnya, dewasa muda dapat menyampaikan aspek kehidupan romantisnya melalui cara yang sesuai dengan kebutuhannya untuk membangun citra diri, salah satunya melalui konten Public Display of Affection (PDA) di Instagram. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengalaman dewasa muda dalam memanfaatkan Instagram untuk mengunggah konten PDA serta makna dari pengalaman pengungkapan hubungan romantis dewasa muda melalui konten PDA di Instagram. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, peneliti mewawancarai empat perempuan usia dewasa muda yang sedang menjalani hubungan romantis dan kerap mengunggah konten PDA di Instagram. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa dewasa muda memilih Instagram sebagai media untuk mengunggah konten PDA karena: (1) memenuhi kebutuhan untuk memperoleh eksistensi diri; (2) menawarkan cara berkomunikasi yang lebih mudah dan jelas; dan (3) menawarkan berbagai fitur penyuntingan. Adapun dewasa muda melakukan pengungkapan diri di Instagram mengenai hubungan pacarannya melalui konten PDA untuk: (1) menciptakan citra diri yang positif; (2) memperoleh validasi sosial; dan (3) menunjukkan status kepemilikan atas pacar di hadapan publik.

Dominating the world's active social media users, young adults utilize Instagram to fulfill the need to self-disclose aspects of their romantic life within the scope of masspersonal communication. Having absolute control over their digital presence, young adults can convey aspects of their romantic life in a way that suits their needs to build their self-image. Currently, they tend to announce it through Public Display of Affection (PDA) content on Instagram. This study aims to find out the experiences of young adults in utilizing Instagram to upload PDA content and the meaning of young adult’s experience of revealing romantic relationships through PDA content on Instagram. Using qualitative approach, the researcher interviewed four young adult women who are in a romantic relationship and often upload PDA content on Instagram. This study found that young adults choose Instagram as a medium to upload PDA content because: (1) it fulfills the need to gain self-existence; (2) it offers an easier and clearer way of communicating; and (3) it offers various editing features. The reasons why young adults self-disclose on Instagram about their dating relationships through PDA content are to: (1) create a positive self-image; (2) obtain social validation; and (3) to show possession over their romantic partner in public."

"[ABSTRAK
Hubungan antara self-disclosure di Facebook dengan kepribadian narcissistic sudah pernah diteliti, namun belum ada penelitian mengenai hubungan antara self-disclosure berdasarkan topik dengan kepribadian narcissistic. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara self-disclosure dalam topik beliefs, relationships, personal matters, interests, dan intimate feelings dengan kecenderungan kepribadian narcissistic. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap 126 partisipan berusia 18-22 tahun yang menggunakan Facebook. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Self-Disclosure Scale (SDS) dan Narcissistic Personality Inventory 16 item (NPI-16). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi antara tiap topik self-disclosure dengan kepribadian narcissistic.

"Self-disclosure didefinisikan sebagai tindakan seseorang untuk mengungkapkan informasi tentang dirinya kepada pihak lain. Dalam konteks media sosial, meskipun mampu memenuhi kebutuhan sosial dan emosional pengguna, perilaku self-disclosure juga disertai dengan risiko yang merugikan pengguna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi perilaku self-disclosure pengguna media sosial di Indonesia dengan analisis komparatif berdasarkan kelompok usia. Model penelitian dibangun dengan mengadopsi teori privacy calculus dan Communication Privacy Management (CPM). Survei dilakukan terhadap 2.210 responden yang merupakan pengguna aktif media sosial di Indonesia. Data diolah dan dianalisis menggunakan metode Covariance-Based Structural Equation Modeling (CB-SEM) dengan program AMOS 24.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada data keseluruhan kelompok, faktor use of information, trust, privacy control, interactivity, perceived benefits, dan perceived risks memengaruhi perilaku self-disclosure pengguna. Selain itu, ditemukan juga bahwa faktor use of information dan personal innovativeness memengaruhi perceived benefits, sedangkan faktor trust, notices (privacy policy), dan privacy control memengaruhi perceived risks pada pengguna di media sosial. Penemuan dari penelitian ini dapat membantu penyedia layanan media sosial dalam mengevaluasi kredibilitas dan reliabilitas platform untuk mendorong retensi pengguna. Selain itu, hasil penelitian ini juga dapat membantu pengembang kebijakan di Indonesia dalam mengatur mekanisme kontrol terkait media sosial secara tepat untuk memastikan keamanan informasi yang disebarkan melalui media sosial.

Self-disclosure is the act of disclosing one's information about themselves to other parties or individuals. In the context of social media, besides being able to meet users' social and emotional needs, self-disclosure behavior is also accompanied by risks that can harm users. This study aims to determine the factors that influence self-disclosure behavior on social media users in Indonesia, with a comparative analysis based on age groups. Research model was built by adopting the privacy calculus and Communication Privacy Management (CPM) theory. Survey was conducted on 2,210 respondents who are active users of social media in Indonesia. Data were processed and analysed using Covariance-Based Structural Equation Modeling (CB-SEM) method with AMOS 24.0 program. The results of this study indicate that in the overall group data, the use of information, trust, privacy control, interactivity, perceived benefits, and perceived risks significantly affect users' self-disclosure behaviour. It was also found that the use of information and personal innovativeness affect perceived benefits, while trust, notices (privacy policy), and privacy control affect perceived risks on social media users. The findings from this study can help social media service proYiders to evaluate the platform's credibility and reliability, in order to encourage user retention. Results of this study also provide insights to Indonesia's policy makers in developing the appropriate control regarding social media, which ensures the safety of information shared on social media."

"ABSTRACT
Penggunaan situs jejaring sosial SJS kini semakin marak di dunia dan bahkan sudah menjadi bagian integral dari kehidupan kita. Instagram merupakan salah satu SJS yang paling banyak digunakan saat ini sehingga terbentuklah urgensi untuk meneliti mengenai Instagram. Penelitian terdahulu mengenai Instagram menghasilkan bahwa Instagram memberikan efek negatif terutama terhadap subjective well-being seseorang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan bahwa Instagram tidak hanya memberikan dampak negatif bagi penggunanya melainkan juga dampak positif, tergantung pada cara penggunaannya. Penulis menguji sebuah model yang mencakup self-disclosure, social support, online social well-being, dan continuance intention pada Instagram, mereplikasi penelitian Huang 2016 yang dilakukan pada konteks Facebook. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah sebanyak 429 orang. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa model yang diajukan berhasil teruji kualitasnya. Dengan demikian dapat diketahui bahwa pada Instagram, self-disclosure yang dilakukan oleh individu memberikan dampak positif terhadap online social well-being -nya baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung melalui social support, yang kemudian memberikan dampak positif pula terhadap continuance intention-nya untuk menggunakan SJS tersebut.
ABSTRACT
The usage of social network sites SNSs increased in the past few years and it is now an integral part of our lives. There is an urgency to do a research on Instagram, because it is one of the most used SNSs. Past researches on Instagram found that Instagram has a negative effect on an individual rsquo s subjective well being. The aim of this research is to prove that Instagram doesn rsquo t only affect its users negatively but also positively, depending on how it rsquo s being used. This research tested a model with self disclosure, social support, online social well being, and continuance intention as the variables on an Instagram context, replicating Huangs 2016 research on a Facebook context. There are 429 participants in this research. The result of this research is that the model is qualified and this indicates that on Instagram, an individuals self disclosure has a positive effect on their online social well being both directly and nondirectly through social support, where then the individuals online social well being will also have a positive effect on their continuance intention to use the SNS. "

"Studi ini bertujuan untuk memahami pengalaman individu perempuan dalam melancarkan taktik pada penggunaan akun alter di media sosial Twitter untuk mengekspresikan seksualitasnya. Akun alter sendiri mengacu kepada profil yang merepresentasikan identitas sekunder dengan penggunaan pseudonim. Penelitian ini melihat bagaimana struktur masyarakat patriarki yang represif membentuk kesadaran perempuan dalam memaknai diri dan lingkungan sekitar, serta bagaimana mereka menegosiasikan struktur tersebut dengan memanfaatkan ruang digital yang mengizinkan mereka untuk melancarkan agensi seksualnya. Adapun penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan paradigma konstruktivisme kritis dengan strategi fenomenologi dan menghadirkan subjek perempuan pengguna akun alter dengan rentang umur 19-23 tahun. Peneliti menemukan bagaimana dunia alter yang menekankan pada aspek anonimitas dapat melepaskan individu dari kontrol institusi sosial yang represif dan memberi tempat yang aman bagi mereka untuk mengekspresikan seksualitasnya. Di sisi lain, individu masih rentan terhadap berbagai ancaman dan berpotensi masih terperangkap dalam wacana misoginis dominan. Namun terlepas dari posisinya yang masih rentan, proses negosiasi antara struktur dan agensi individu dapat dilihat dari sikap kewaspadaan, autentisitas pada konten perempuan, hingga pergerakan aktif mereka dalam melawan usikan laki-laki. Proses negosiasi tersebut melancarkan serangkaian taktik yang tidak bertujuan untuk menjatuhkan struktur, melainkan membangun posisi tersendiri dengan mengidentfikasi celah dan memanfaatkan ruang digital di dalam sistem yang represif.

This study aims to understand the experience of individual women in using alter accounts on Twitter as their tactics in expressing their sexuality. The alter account itself refer to a user-built Twitter profile that represents secondary identity by using pseudonym. This research looks at how the repressive structure of patriarchal society shapes women's awareness in interpreting themselves and the environment, and how they negotiate the structure by utilizing digital space that allows them to launch their sexual agency. The qualitative research uses a critical constructivist paradigm with a phenomenological strategy on female subjects using alter accounts with an age range of 19-23 years. Researchers discovered how the alter world that emphasizes aspects of anonymity can be seen as a gap for them to evade social repressions they get in the offline world and provide a safe place for them to express their sexuality. On the other hand, individuals are still vulnerable to various threats and potentially still trapped in the dominant misogynist discourse. However, despite their vulnerable position, the process of negotiation between the structure and individual agency can be seen from the attitude of vigilance, authenticity in the content of women, to their active movement in fighting against men. The negotiation process launched a series of tactics that did not aim to overthrow the structure, but instead established a separate position by identifying gaps and taking advantage of the digital space inside repressive systems."

"Akun pseudonim menjadi fenomena unik dalam penggunaan anonimitas di media sosial. Berdasarkan penelitian sebelumnya, anonimitas dapat diikuti dengan peningkatan self disclosure. Dengan itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan anonimitas dan self disclosure pada akun pseudonim di Twitter pada populasi kelompok usia generasi Z. Penelitian ini diikuti oleh 246 partisipan pengguna akun pseudonim di Twitter yang merupakan bagian dari generasi Z. Anonimitas diukur menggunakan Skala Anonimitas dan self disclosure diukur menggunakan Revised Self Disclosure Scale. Hasil teknik korelasi Spearman menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan dan negatif antara anonimitas dan self disclosure (r(246)=-0,233, p=0,001, r2=0,054).

Pseudonym accounts are a unique phenomenon in the use of anonymity on social media. Previous research shows anonymity can be followed by increased self-disclosure. This study aims to determine the relationship between anonymity and self-disclosure on pseudonym accounts on Twitter among generation Z. This study was followed by 246 user of pseudonym accounts on Twitter who are part of generation Z. Anonymity’s measured using the Anonymity Scale and self disclosure’s measured using the Revised Self Disclosure Scale. Spearman correlation technique result showed a significant and negative relationship between anonymity and self-disclosure (r(246) =-0,233, p = 0.001, r2= 0.054)."

"[ABSTRAK
Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah fenomena penularan HIV melalui penggunaan alat suntik yang tidak steril dari Pengguna Narkoba Suntik (Penasun). Perilaku menyuntik penasun secara bergantian membuat tingginya angka penularan HIV di kalangan penasun untuk itu dibutuhkan peranan petugas outreach dalam menjalankan pemasaran sosialLayanan Alat Suntik Steril (LASS). Tujuan penelitian ini mendapatkan gambaran mengenai self-disclosure pada komunikasi interpersonal dalam menerapkan pemasaran sosialyang dilakukan oleh petugas outreach untuk merubah perilaku penasun agar menggunakan alat suntik steril. Metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Disimpulkan penelitian ini menunjukkan ketidakberhasilan pemasaran sosial karena petugas outreach yang tidak mampu membuat penasun melakukan self-disclosure, banyak penasun yang belum membuka dirinya.

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh perilaku Self-Disclosure yang dilakukan pada kanal media sosial terhadap tingkat Repurchase Intention yang dilakukan oleh konsumen Somethinc pada wilayah Jabodetabek. Penelitian dianggap penting karena terdapat dorongan psikologis yang dapat timbul akibat perilaku self-disclosure terhadap pola repurchase intention konsumen. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif metode survei pada konsumen dari produk perawatn kulit Somethinc di daerah Jabodetabek. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian berjumlah 150. Penelitian melakukan uji validitas dengan analisis faktor dan reliabilitas dengan Cronbach’s Alpha. Regresi linear sederhana digunakan dalam pengujian hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan signifikan terhadap Self-Disclosure sebagai variabel independen dan Repurchase Intention sebagai variabel dependen

In this study aims to analyze the effect of Self-Disclosure behavior on social media channels on the level of repurchase intention by Somethinc consumers in the Jabodetabek area. This study uses a quantitative approach to survey methods on consumers of Somethinc skin care products in the Jabodetabek area. The sample used in the study amounted to 150. The study conducted a validity test with factor analysis and reliability with Cronbach's Alpha. Simple linear regression was used in hypothesis testing. The results showed that there was a significant relationship to Self-Disclosure as the independent variable and Repurchase Intention as the dependent variable"

"Kecemasan dan ketidakstabilan emosi sering terjadi pada remaja yang tinggal di panti asuhan. Hal ini karena banyaknya tuntutan dan kesulitan yang mereka hadapi sehingga diperlukan perhatian dan dukungan, terutama dari orang tua asuhnya. Dengan berbagai gejolak emosi yang dihadapi remaja, pengungkapan diri atau self-disclosure diperlukan. Remaja panti asuhan akan mengungkapkan diri ketika percaya dan nyaman dengan orang tua asuhnya, yang didukung dengan pemberian dukungan sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan dukungan sosial orang tua asuh dan self-disclosure remaja panti asuhan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 55 anak berusia 10-21 di Yayasan Panti Asuhan Hidayatullah Depok. Alat ukur dukungan sosial yang digunakan disusun berdasarkan teori House (1981) yang menganalisis dukungan sosial dari 4 aspek yaitu emosional, instrumental, informasi, dan penghargaan dan self-disclosure menggunakan Jourard Self-disclosure Questionnaire dari Jourard (1971). Hasil analisis univariat menunjukkan bahwa 52,7% responden memiliki tingkat self-disclosure rendah dan 63,6% responden memiliki tingkat dukungan sosial orang tua asuh dalam kategori sedang. Hasil uji bivariat menunjukkan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,577 dan p-value 0,001. Hasil tersebut disimpulkan bahwa adanya hubungan yang cukup dan signifikan dengan arah hubungan positif, di mana semakin tinggi dukungan sosial maka semakin tinggi self-disclosure yang dilakukan oleh remaja panti asuhan.

Anxiety and emotional instability are common among adolescents living in orphanages. This is due to the many demands and difficulties they face that require attention and support, especially from their foster parents. With the various emotional turmoil faced by adolescents, self-disclosure is necessary. Adolescents in orphanages will self-disclose when they trust and are comfortable with their foster parents, supported by the provision of social support. This study examines the relationship between foster parents' social support and orphanage adolescents' self-disclosure. This study used a descriptive quantitative approach with 55 respondents aged 10-21 at Hidayatullah Orphanage Foundation Depok. The social support measuring instrument used was prepared based on House's theory (1981) which analyzes social support from 4 aspects: emotional, instrumental, information, and appreciation and self-disclosure using the Jourard Self-disclosure Questionnaire from Jourard (1971). The results of univariate analysis showed that 52.7% of respondents had a low level of self-disclosure and 63.6% of respondents had a moderate level of social support from foster parents. The bivariate test results showed a correlation coefficient of 0.577 and a p-value of 0.001. These results concluded that there is a sufficient and significant relationship with a positive relationship direction, where the higher the social support, the higher the self-disclosure made by adolescents in orphanages."
