"Phosphoric acid etching has been widely used to achieve a strong and
long lasting mechanical bonding between composite resin restoration
and tooth structure. The bond strength between the composite resin
restoration and the enamel of permanent teeth can be measured by the
shear bond strength of the composite resin restoration. The aim of this
study was to evaluate the bond strength between the enamel of
permanent teeth and the composite resin restoration by measuring the
shear bond strength after different durations of etching. In total 27
premolar teeth were divided into 3 groups where the enamel of the
buccal surface was etched with 37% phosphoric acid for 5″, 15″, and
25″ before placing the composite resin restoration. After keeping the
teeth inside an incubator for 24 hours, the shear bond strength was
measured using a universal testing machine Shimazu AG-5000 at a
crosshead speed of 0.5 mm/min. ANOVA was used for statistical
analysis of the results, with p<0.05 assumed to imply significance.
The mean shear bond strength after etching for 5″, 15″, and 25″ was
16.1 MPa, 17.3 MPa and 19.0 MPa, respectively. The results of ANOVA showed significant difference between the 3 groups. However, subsequent Tukey test showed significant difference between 5″ and 25″ of etching (p<0.05), but no significant difference between between the 5″ and 15″ groups nor between the 15″ and 25″ groups (p>0.05). Conclusion: Shear bond strength of the composite resin on the permanent teeth enamel increased with increasing etching time. Significant difference was showed between 5″ and 25″ of etching time."

"ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jarak penyinaran terhadap kekuatan tarik diametral dari material restorasi resin komposit alkasit. Tigapuluh dua spesimen material restorasi resin komposit alkasit Cention-N, Ivoclar-Vivadent, Liechtenstein berbentuk lempengan dengan ketebalan 3 mm dan diameter 6 mm n=32 dibagi menjadi dua kelompok dengan jarak penyinaran 0 dan 2 mm n=16 . Spesimen dipolimerisasi menggunakan LED curing unit, iradiansi 800 mW/cm2 selama 30 detik. Spesimen diuji menggunakan Universa Mechanicall Testing Machine 250 kgf, 0,5 mm/menit, Shimadzu, Japan untuk mendapatkan nilai kekuatan tarik diametral. Hasil uji statistik Independent Sample T-Test menunjukkan bahwa kekuatan tarik diametral menurun namun tidak signifikan terutama pada kelompok dengan jarak penyinaran 2 mm. Disimpulkan bahwa jarak penyinaran dapat mempengaruhi nilai kekuatan tarik diametral.

ABSTRACT
The aim of this study is to analyze the effect of light curing distance on diametral tensile strength of alkasite composite resin restoration material. Thirty two disc shaped specimens of alkasite composite restoration material Cention N, Ivoclar Vivadent, Liechtenstein with 3 mm thickness and 6 mm of diameter n 32 were divided into two different light curing distance groups 0 and 2 mm n 16 . All Specimens were polymerized using LED curing unit, irradiance 800 mW cm2 for 30 s. Specimens were tested using Universal Mechanical Testing Machine 250 kgf, 0,5 mm menit to determine its diametral tensile strength. The statistical results from Independent Sample T Test, showed that diametral tensile strength of 2 mm light curing distance group were decreased, but not significantly .It was concluded that light curing distance has effect on the diametral tensile strength of composite resin alkasite material."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kekuatan rekat geser resin komposit serat sebagai substuktur dengan resin komposit partikulat berbeda komposisi. Resin komposit partikulat G-aenial posterior Kelompok A, 10 spesimen dan Tetric N-ceram Kelompok B,10 spesimen digunakan sebagai lapisan atas resin komposit serat EverX Posterior. Uji kuat rekat geser dilakukan menggunakan UTM dengan beban 100 kgf dan crosshead-speed 0.5 mm/menit. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik independent sample t test. Hasil penelitian menunjukan nilai rerata kuat rekat geser yakni 18,64 1.5 MPa A dan 22,05 1,8 MPa B . Disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kuat rekat geser yang bermakna pada kedua kelompok.

The aim of this study was to identify shear bond strength fiber reinforced composite as a substructure with different composition of particulate filled composite. Particulate filled composite G aenial posterior Groups A, 10 specimen and Tetric N ceram Groups B, 10 specimen used as an upper layer of FRC EverX Posterior. Shear bond strength test was performed using UTM with a load of 100 kgf and crosshead speed of 0.5 mm min. Data were analyzed using statistical test independent sample t test. The result of this study showed the mean shear bond strength values are 18,64 1.5 MPa A and 22,05 1,8 MPa B . It was concluded that there is a significance difference of shear bond strength between two groups."

"ABSTRAK
Sandblasting dilakukan pada permukaan restorasi veneer indirek resin komposit
sebelum direkatkan pada email menggunakan resin semen Multi-step dan
SADRC. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh durasi sandblasting
terhadap kuat rekat geser veneer indirek resin komposit yang direkatkan pada
email. Pengujian kuat rekat geser menggunakan Universal Testing Machine,
kemudian analisa patahan dengan Stereomicroscope dan Scanning Electron
Microscope. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa grup resin semen Multi-step
menghasilkan kuat rekat geser yang lebih tinggi dan berbeda bermakna
dibandingkan grup SADRC. Durasi sandblasting yang berbeda, tidak memberikan
perbedaan nilai kuat rekat yang bermakna baik pada grup resin semen Multi-step
maupun SADRC.

BSTRACT
Sandblasting was performed on the surface of indirect composite resin veneer
(VIRK) restorations before bonding to enamel using Multi-step resin cement and
SADRC. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of sandblasting
duration on Shear Bond Strength (SBS) of VIRK bonded to enamel. Shear Bond
Strength test was done using Universal Testing Machine, failure analysis was
evaluated using Stereomicroscope and Scanning Electron Microscope. The results
showed that VIRK cemented with Multi-step produces higher SBS and
significantly different than VIRK cemented with SADRC. Sandblasting duration
did not influence SBS value of VIRK cemented with Multi-step and SADRC."

"Single-step self-etch adhesive systems are the system that combine self etching primer and bonding agent into one step application. This system was developed as the effort to simplified in application prosedures and give a good bond strength of resin composites to dentin surface. The purpose of this study was to examine the bond strength of resin composites with two singlestep self-etch adhesives system (Xeno III and Clearfil Tri-S Bond) to bovine dentin at temperature of adhesive 3ºC, 22ºC and 30ºC. Adhesive was applied to dentin surface (bovine insisivus mandibular dentin) follow by resin composites bonded according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Tensile bond strength of 60 specimens were tested UTM (universal testing machine) after 24 hours storage in aquadest at 37 ºC. The results were analyzed using ANOVA test followed by Tukey’s test (p< 0,05). The bond strength of Xeno III was significantly diffrent from that of Clearfil tri-S Bond, 0,66±0,271, 2,70±1,528, 0,23±0,104 versus 2,07±0,272, 4,77±0,689, 4,39±1,205 MPa at temperature of materials 3ºC, 22ºC and 30ºC respectively. The bond strength of two single- step adhesives system (Xeno III and Clearfil Tri-S Bond) were highest at temperature 22ºC than other temperatures of materials."
