"Integration of immigrants and their descendants has been a socially sensitive and a politically pressing issue in Germany, particularly in recent decades. Being the largest immigrant group in the country, and for a number of other reasons, the spotlight has been on people of Turkish descent. From a sociological perspective, the process of identity formation is a critical step in the direction of integration. If immigrants of Turkish descent are to be integrated in the society, it is crucial to inquire how they conceive of themselves, and perceive how they are conceived by the so-called locals. Heeding Goethe, Ali Mehdi conduct in-depth interviews with seven young men of Turkish descent, born in Germany, and to analyze, utilizing the empathetic approach of the German hermeneutic tradition, the rich diversity of identity strategies that the interviewees employ."

"In her research Yulia Nurliani Lukito analyses modernity and the construction of culture by the authorities using the images of Indonesian vernacular architecture presented at three different sites and times. She argues that modernity is not solely constructed by the authorities, rather it is an ongoing process modified by visitors of exhibitions. Pasar Gambir was a laboratory of modernity for the colony, and an important stage in modernizing and negotiating cultural and social conditions in the colony. The Dutch Pavilion at the 1931 colonial exhibition became a moment when the Indies heritages played a role in marking colonial territory. "Skripsi ini mengkaji tentang Program Sosial Bank Indonesia (PSBI) dengan menggunakan pendekatan proses perencanaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif yang menitikberatkan interpretasi terhadap data yang diperoleh baik data primer berupa wawancara mendalam dan dielaborasi dengan data sekunder seperti dokumen PSBI dan observasi berbagai berita online. This study describes about Social Program Bank Indonesia (SPBI), by the planning process approach. This research used qualitative research method that emphasize the interpretation of the data obtained both primary data by means of in-depth interviews and elaborated with secondary datas such as documents of SPBI and observation of various online news. The result of this study shows that SPBI is a mean of Bank Indonesia to build the capability up as a central bank nationally and internationally."

"ABSTRAKPenelitian ini ditujukan untuk menjawab pertanyaan penelitian yang terkait dengan bagaimana dampak dari terjadinya stateless terhadap kehidupan masyarakat etnis Rohingya pasca penerapan Myanmar Citizenship Law tahun 1982. Adapun, perspektif yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan teori statelessness. Dalam teori tersebut, disebutkan bahwa terdapat empat jenis faktor penyebab terjadinya stateless, yaitu adanya konflik hukum kewarganegaraan, warisan penjajahan, perampasan kewarganegaraan secara sewenang-wenang dan hambatan administratif beserta kurangnya dokumentasi. Selain itu, dalam teori itu juga disebutkan mengenai dampak dari terjadinya stateless, yaitu hilangnya sejumlah hak fundamental sebagai warga negara. Hak-hak fundamental itu diantaranya adalah hak untuk mengakses dan menggunakan layanan publik, hak untuk memilih dan melakukan fungsi publik tertentu, hak untuk berdaya secara ekonomi serta hak untuk berpartisipasi dan memperoleh perlindungan. Di samping itu, metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan teknik studi literatur. Untuk itu, hasil penelitian ini adalah bahwa hilangnya sejumlah hak fundamental masyarakat etnis Rohingya sebagai warga negara tersebut merupakan dampak dari terjadinya stateless pasca penerapan Myanmar Citizenship Law tahun 1982.

ABSTRACT

This research is intended to answer research questions related to how the impact of statelessness on the lives of Rohingya ethnic communities after the implementation of the Myanmar Citizenship Law in 1982. Meanwhile, the perspective used in this study is to use the statelessness theory. In this theory, it is stated that there are four types of factors causing statelessness, namely the conflict of citizenship law, the legacy of colonization, arbitrary deprivation of citizenship and administrative barriers along with a lack of documentation. In addition, the theory also mentions the impact of statelessness, namely the loss of a number of fundamental rights as citizens. These fundamental rights include the right to access and use public services, the right to choose and perform certain public functions, the right to be economically empowered and the right to participate and obtain protection. In addition, the research method used is qualitative with literature study techniques. To that end, the results of this study are that the loss of a number of fundamental rights of the Rohingya ethnic community as citizens is the impact of the occurrence of stateless post implementation of the Myanmar Citizenship Law in 1982."
